I'm not sure what, if anything, counters Acrobat, Relentless Finisher, and Difficult Shots. But Rim Protector will counter the post badges, I think also buffs block odds, and I've always assumed it might also do a bit of a nerf to shot odds. But maybe not.

It does, when your layup or dunk is challenged by someone with with RP it'll show your badge level demoted on the badge icon pop up. If you have gold it'll pop up as bronze and If the person has HOF RP this [emoji724]would pop up on the display. They don't have to block the shot just contest. If a card gets his shot block by someone with RP he'll get cold for a few possessions.

My impression of rim protector is that is does not counter badges. That is what defensive stopper does. Rim protector simply lowers the percentage of the opposing shots around the basket from going in. And also may increase chance of blocking.

The way I like to run it is I have my SF (with Gold Brick Wall) call the play for my SG. Then he swings to my PF then to my PG with Dimer (preferably HOF). My SF and PF (both with Brick Wall, and often my PF is Robinson and his HOF Brick Wall) set the screen, and my SG and his Catch and Shoot receive the pass wide open at the top of the arc.

Most of my PGs have Brick Wall, so they set effective screens when they initiate the play, but it works even better when you've got a big SF like Worthy or Melo setting that screen.

It does counter inside scoring badges. Watch the video, Shaq has gold RP and Rose has gold acrobat.

You can see a bronze acrobat pop up on the top right corner with a red arrow pointing down. It even says acrobat dropped to bronze by opponent. Shaq doesn't has defensive stopper his RP demoted Rose's gold acrobat with a contest. It was kind of hard driving for the layup with one hand and contesting it with the other.

Very interesting. When I first read this I assumed shaq had D stopper but the video showed otherwise. Useful info forsure.

Did you have Gold Ankle Breaker on your Amethyst Harden? If not, is there a noticeable difference with it on your Diamond version?

My Amethyst did have gold ankle breaker. With Harden's strong ball control and excellent dribbling moves, I definitely recommend it.

Thanks for the help. I'm really struggling with choosing ankle breaker or posterizer for his last badge slot. Do you have a recommendation?

I think it just depends on how you want to use him. If he's your primary ball handler and you like to go 1 on 1 from time to time, I'd probably go with ankle breaker. If you're using him more off ball as a spot up shooter or slasher then I'd go with posterizer.

I personally would go Posterizer. Ankle Breaker is nice, but I try to avoid doing a lot of the Turbo size-ups, because of Stamina. Though, I guess, with a deep team...who cares?

My problem is also that my reaction time is not good and I tend to miss the window of opportunity that the ankle broken animation gives me.

Posterizer does its thing without me having to actively exploit it.

I'm looking at switching out Penny for Diamond GP. His badging is already awesome (4 HOF defensive badges!). I think I've got a good list of the 6 badges he needs most, but I'm always learning something about the value of various badges in this thread. Could Payton use anything besides:

                        Relentless Finisher
                        Rim Protector
                        Bruiser
                        Post Spin Technician
                        Deep Range Deadeye
                        Limitless Range

Look on Page 67 of this thread, starting Post #531, for discussion regarding DI Payton.

                          My list was:

                          1. Rim Protector
                          2. Deep-Range Deadeye
                          3. Limitless Range
                          4. Brick Wall
                          5. Hustle Rebounder
                          6. Bruiser
                          7. Dream-Like Up & Under
                          8. Post Spin Tech

I would be inclined to emphasize post game over outside shooting game, so to get to 6, would remove Deep Deadeye and Limitless. Potentially keep those, or one of them, and take out Hustle Rebounder and/or Bruiser.

To me, post-up game is bread-and-butter for GP and I'd look to heavily feature that, in conjunction with moving midrange game, insofar as I focus on GP in offense at all.

Other people have other thoughts and priorities, so peep the earlier conversation.

Good call. I totally glossed over that because I wasn't thinking of picking up Payton until I pulled MJ late last night. I probably wouldn't have been able to afford him without that lucky pull. Now the possibilities are endless!

This, along with Nickstank's advice, led me to choose Posterizer. I really value Harden in the half-court offense, and try to minimize my turbo usage with him to keep his stamina up. It's the reason why, although I thinks it's a very underrated badge, I didn't put One Man Fast Break on him. I want Harden walking the ball up, creating highly efficient half-court offense, and playing 13+ minutes if needed.

After giving him Gold Posterizer this afternoon, I played an MTO game in Ruby League. I focused on driving for the dunk in spots I would otherwise consider a floater, a pull-up midrange shot, or a pass. He went 5-6 on dunks, all of them at least somewhat contested. I noticed he definitely goes in for the dunk animation more often with the Posterizer badge (as opposed to a layup attempt). Basically every time I pressed shoot while driving inside the free-throw line he tried to dunk.

That's good info. It's frustrating that 2k refuses to provide the relevant details for so many things.

On a related note, is there a consensus here about whether Relentless Finisher has benefit beyond preserving energy? I'm assuming the answer is yes, based on the frequency that I see it mentioned/recommended here. Any details? I didn't see anything about the badge at 2klabs.
