I made few tweaks for your sliders and had my best game so far in nba 2k26. I play usually for one of the weakest teams and have fun trading for interesting role players etc. Only stat is steals for cpu that is too high but I was making too many bad passes but still love that I am able to have 14 turnovers in game along with 26 assists. I dominated in pait this game but usual points in paint are around 36 for me

Do these work at all with real player % and shot timing turned off or no?

Had a great game between the Cavs (CPU) and the Nuggets (me). Came down to the wire, but I missed a bunch of 3's in the last 3 minutes that were pretty much open (struggled big time with Murray from 3). 2k has definitely been tinkering with smaller updates because I'm no longer seeing the crazy drive and kicks that were prevalent during the first week. The only thing that this game was missing was the fouls, as there definitely were plenty of situations where they could've been called. Very few times does the AI bring their big man over to protect the rim, although it happens at times, just not enough. Even so, this was probably the best game I've played so far. I included the values of the sliders that I've changed, User ones are exactly the same as CPU and the ones that are not shown are as per the last update by Eccentric.

Edit: Forgot to add that while the amount of 3's by Cleveland is pretty high, they were all within the flow of the game (they average 41.4 per game last season, so not insane in the current NBA). It was very up and down, and there were even some minor injuries to Jokic and Valenciunas during box out situations, but they were able to return and keep playing. I set substitutions to "Rotation" and create my own, but the minutes were a bit funky due to a bit of down time by both big men.

Looks good! Funny, 55/60 for the Jump Shot Defense Strength values is what I'm currently testing as well and enjoying the results. Strange you're not getting many fouls though, I usually average at least 3 fouls per team per quarter. I think once 2K addresses the driving layup issue that we'll get a lot more FTs.

To be fair, I think it was just the way this game played out, as I've gotten more in previous ones. But I still find that the bigs ignore drivers too often and stay with their man rather than helping, although that's nothing new when it comes to 2k and help defense.

                - With 2K26's "Green or Miss" shooting on HoF difficulty, we need to jack up the Shot Success sliders in order to make any shots that are not green timed.
I tested your slider Set and in my opinion this doesnt have the desired effect. There are still way too many Greens and non-Greens still dont go in much. There needs to be some way to get into the direction of last years low risk, but i dont Know how...

to make it more clear what i am looking for: i want to increase the success of non-Greens, especially slightly early/late Timed shots. at the same time i want to decrease the Green Window a lot so that it is really Hard to even Green a shot.

Imho A major problem is that sliders perform differently in play now than in mynba. And by a lot

I think there are too many mistakes on 3-point shots. Unfortunately, I can confirm the huge differences between Play Now and MyNBA...and Play Now seems much better, in my opinion. Any news on your sliders? EccentricMeat

Unfortunately this is all we have to work with unless 2K patches back in the shot timing profiles (I highly doubt they will, because it will only help offline players and they don’t prioritize us anymore).

I think recent game updates have made it even harder to make non-greens because on day 1 of release I was making a decent amount with shot success at 75 but make noticeably less now. The only way to make more non-greens is to further increase shot success.

As far as making the green window smaller, that can only be done with the jump shot defense strength sliders. Increasing these will make nearby defenders and active shot contests shrink the green window, but on HoF the green window basically disappears if there’s a good contest. Luckily that won’t be a big issue once you’re making more non-greens with the right Shot Success sliders.

Still don’t understand why 2K took away shot timing profiles and the Shot Coverage Impact slider. If they do manage to patch those back in, huge props to them.

Regarding shot timing profiles, 2k did something new this year. From year to year there were similar shot timings, they only changed the visual design. I like how they did shot this year. Plus they also made a tempo shot. This is something new. You can customize shot so that you have realistic statistics, I don’t see a problem here, you just need time to customize it to your taste. If you introduce timing profiles, as it was in 2k25 and remove tempo shot, then I choose how it is done now. Don’t be conservative. Even with all the defense sliders set to 100 for the CPU, I get successful contact shot in attack, use step back and dribbling, it becomes much more interesting to play. Regarding the differences between the game in Play now and My NBA, My NBA has morale and chemistry, and if you have it at a high level, you can set all the attack sliders for the CPU to high values, it will still behave stupidly, miss or make losses. You need to either turn off morale and chemistry in My NBA, or set high morale and chemistry difficulty and minimal effects from them. I play with morale and chemistry difficulty at 100, effects at 10-15. This way you get equal matches, even with weak opponents.

Unfortunately, I find the game very different in the 2 modes . And I've always played with morale and chemistry set to off.

It's strange, I don't see much of a difference between Play Now and My NBA. Try turning the chemistry and morale difficulty to 100 and the effects to 10. Please write your impressions, is the game different or not? I had a problem in My NBA, at the beginning of the season there were competitive matches, but after 15-20 games, I started beating everyone in a row and couldn't figure out what was going on for a long time. I started increasing the CPU sliders, but it still didn't bring results. And then I tried lowering the chemistry and morale values and the matches became the same as they were at the beginning of the season. But there's another problem, the teams almost always play point for point, i.e. it's not like you or the CPU can make up for a 20-point handicap. This is also not entirely realistic. But for me, it's better to have games be point for point than to almost always beat the CPU when achieving high morale and chemistry. What is the difference? Can you please describe it in more detail?

all your assumptions might be true for your own offline experience. i am admin of an online league and for us these non existing options completely kill any balance. no matter what we do, as long as there is green or miss we will have some players shoot 70 % from 3 while others are close to 20 %. this was much better last year with the shot timing profiles as we at least could tone down the top teams to more realistic percentages.
