Re: Barnsey's MyLEAGUE player Progression/Regression sliders (2k19)
I simmed a new MyLeague using Barncore's latest version and made some adjustments to the roster to address the issue of too much talent years from now.
In addition to using Barncore's League settings, I did a global edit of the roster by lowering the Peak End Age by two years. In addition, I did a global edit for all draft classes where I lowered the Peak Start Age by 1 year and the Peak End Age by 2 years. So this really impacted progression/regression and I saw some promising results.
The current roster in Year 1 has 14 90+ OVR players. After my sim, there were 17 90+ which is pretty close. In addition, there were 28 85-89 OVR Players in 2018 while in 2022, there were 22. So again, not too bad there.
For the last segment I counted 32 80-84 OVR in 2018. However in year 4 there were 59 80-84 OVR players. So quite a big jump.
Overall I am pleased with the results. I think going forward, I am going to lower the Peak Start Age of the default rosters by a year so that it mirrors what I do for the incoming draft classes. This is in addition to lowering the Peak End age by 2 years as well.
I haven't done any number crunching but it seems that 2k has player's prime years end a few years too late. Really no player should have a Peak End age of 34+ years and beyond. Of course there are some exceptions such as Lebron James, Michael Jordan, Hakeem Olajuwon, and Karl Malone who defy the norm and are able to reinvent themselves as they get older. So for guys that are superstars (80+ OVR in the draft and 90+ POT), I may keep their Peak Start and Peak End as is. This ensures that there are will be some 90+ players in the league as it is today. Of course, a nasty injury can change all of that where they don't reach their potential and which we have seen many times in the history of the NBA.
Thank you to Barncore for the countless number of hours in producing great sliders!Comment

Re: Barnsey's MyLEAGUE player Progression/Regression sliders (2k19)
I'm seeing way too much regression in all teams. Played as the thunder, after 1 season PG13 had dropped to an 87 while happy (actual rating an 86) and westbrook dropped to a 91 while happy (same applies). All the other players above the age of like 25 had regressed as well, even steven adams. Any tips on stopping regression?
I understand the concept of proper progression/regression sliders. But how come my entire team regresses immediately?
My chemistry is in the upper 70% range.Comment

Re: Barnsey's MyLEAGUE player Progression/Regression sliders (2k19)
I’m assuming the regression in our MLO came from the regression rate slider then? I was wondering why everyone on the each team was a -1 overall lol.
So, the easy fix it to lower the regression slider? Or is this correlated to something else?
Thanks again!PSN: bhzmafia14Comment

Re: Barnsey's MyLEAGUE player Progression/Regression sliders (2k19)
If you're seeing overall ratings lower than usual during midseason then I think it would have more to do with morale and chemistry sliders rather than the regression slider.
Regression deals with the offseason to offseason regress rate, morale and chemistry sliders affect the midseason form stuff. Tweak to your own taste, i personally like the way it is at the moment.Comment

Re: Barnsey's MyLEAGUE player Progression/Regression sliders (2k19)
Barnsey - I have begun a Knicks franchise and I am 7 games in - I play CPU vs CPU and have implemented your settings AS IS with no adjustments - I am wanting to know if you (or anyone else) are seeing a good amount of injuries - Now - I am not desiring an unrealistic amount but I have had no injuries to my Knicks team and have only seen one against the CPU in which I actually played and that was Giannis with a high ankle sprain and he was out 2-4 weeks. Thank you for any input and thank you for your hard work! 👍🏻
I'm seeing a much higher rate of injuries than default.
Maybe your Knicks team got lucky!Comment

Re: Barnsey's MyLEAGUE player Progression/Regression sliders (2k19)
I love the progression/regression sliders. However I am not seeing your sliders for gameplay (inside shot, mid-range shot, 3-point or fouls, etc.) Where am I missing those sliders?
ThanksComment

Do you have any house rule to rise manual some players to over 90? Base on a badge or type of player? Cause as you know after 7 seasons there like a lot of player over 80 to 85 but over 90 only 6 and half a from 2018 draft

just started My league with these sliders; CPU v CPU so that my bad stick skills don't turn every team into the Knicks. Just want to thank you...the game looks and is playing fantastically.Comment

Re: Barnsey's MyLEAGUE player Progression/Regression sliders (2k19)
Started a myleague with the nets, after 1 season every single one of my players regressed in overall by about a point or 2 including A potential Markelle Fultz and breakout 24 year old star caris levert. I’m a true sim guy but young players with good potential should not all get worse year after year.

Did you use the start from today feature? I think that feature messes up progression, so that could be your issue!
