Truth. It happens rarely, but watching the ball roll down the court only slightly faster than my player can turbo jog can be particularly frustrating. I know if my man caught up to the rock he'd have an uncontested dunk but I also know he's never going to catch up. It feels like this:

2K claims to be the # 1 "sim" basketball game. The game should be sim out of the box without sliders. I think the users that have trouble playing should be playing on rookie then. The game should be sim before tinkering with sliders. Sliders are more for tweaking the game for your style of play and not difficulty.

Then buddy...you would only sell a handful of games. Meaning you would make no money. "Us" hardcore user only make a very small percentage of the market. Probably around 20%-10%.....The other half are just kids or grown ups trying to play a little basketball for the hell of it lol

2k claim should be more like #1 "sim video game" basketball. You have to keep it fun.

Too true. Playing in some of these so called 'sim leagues' and seeing what their idea of sim is, I'd hate it if the game became that. At the end of the day you have to realize it's a video game, and everything isn't going to be perfect. It's all about balancing realism w/ fun, and I think 2k10 does that. Of course there's going to be online cheesers that use exploits, but that's w/ any game. 2k11 w/ a few tweaks from the direction 2k10 is going in could be a great game, not that 2k10 isn't already. My 2c.

I totally get your vision. Buy the game. Pull it out the warpping. And play it without changing a thing.....I'm sorry to say. If its made by a human. It will never be perfect.

Based on your replies it doesnt seem like you get what we are talking about. Especially what I'm saying. Let me try to make it clear

In 2k9 a player like Deron Williams could drive into the paint start a layup change his mind and throw a blind pass out to the threepoint line and it would hit its mark 9/10 times. The passing was so accurate that anyone could play PG. When you played the Celts chances are Allen played PG. PGs had no value. In 2k10 Deron Williams makes that pass about 60% of the time. A lesser passer might make that pass 20%. I would say thats relatively realistic and the least of the issues with the passing game.

So I dont understand how you could say the game needs to be playable. The godly pass accuracy was one of the reasons 2k9 was unplayable online. Who wants to play a game where its beneficial to bench Rondo? You want to talk about unplayable? I tried to see how many bad passes I could throw with Eddy Curry in 2k9 and it took me 6 in game minutes to intentionally throw a pass out of bounds.

I think you lost what I was saying....lol

I totally agree with what you are talking about. But what people are asking for is even more turnovers then they around are. I hated 2k9 system overall. From the paint to the passes to the glitchy sig shots. 2k10 covers all those things. What I was saying is that you have to find a happy meduim. Both causally users and hardcore users like me can enjoy it.

But to add to the list of things that bother me. This is one of those things I hate and love....lol Its weird.

I love that if you try to pass out of a shot. If a guy stands in front of you. You actually get charges called this year. But what I hate is that the charge is called so late by the refs. You start to wonder what ws the turnover for or why did I get the foul (until you see the replay lol)

Exactly! I don't get how people think making the game play realistic would make it unplayable. If you play it realistic you wouldn't have a problem. Maybe the ones that think it would be unplayable are the ones who abuse these unrealistic passes.

Not what I said. And its obvious you DON'T get my vision because you used the word "perfect". I know the game can't be perfect but, there's a way to make it playable and eliminate some things that don't happen in rel life. You can tell they're headed in the right direction though. They're not quite there yet.

Like I said there are less of us. And a lot more of them. Its a video game. If you want all out real basketball... go play it.

2k is so real. That I can't get some of my friends to play it for long.

Bruh, I play real ball. This is how I know 2K can be fun & sim at the same time. We just have a difference of opinion. You're not being open-minded. It's like you're saying the game can't correct these issues and still be fun to the casual gamer. Like I said before...that's what the easier difficulty setting is for. Just like with any other game, you don't start off on the hardest setting if you've never played the game before. Same thing with 2k. Casual gamers should play on rookie where things are made easier. Hall of fame should be the most realistic.
