Re: Your Myplayer Career (NBA 2K11)
Just played my first two post patch games in My Player. Loved it. For some perspective, I'm a 82 OVR on the Thunder playing against the Lakers in the playoffs. I beat them before, but loaded up an old file by accident and decided to roll with it. First game, KD scores 45 and I get a triple double but we lose. Second game, me and KD score 27 and 28 respectively, and we blow the Lakers out, having gone up by as much as 30.
I don't have a problem with the automatic playcalling at all. It makes my CPU teammates more reliable, paces the game better and makes my points feel much more worthwhile. More fouls, less dunks, no more magical big men and my teammates aren't terrible.
I should mention that I run the plays, and I run them hard. I trust in my teammates and coaches and only break plays if I'm wide open. Even then, my teammates have shown great recognition, hitting me on the perimeter and on cuts. Overall, this is a much, much better basketball game after the patch and didn't feel nearly as arcadey. And I still got a few dunks in there with my athletic SG, and this time it felt like I was really breaking down the D and giving my team momentum.Comment

Re: Your Myplayer Career (NBA 2K11)
what difficulty/setting/min is the best?
i currently play on pro, default, 12 minutes and its pretty easy. i moved up 1 to all-star and my teammates couldn't hit anything. and i'm talking durant missing wide open shots constantly. i'm tearing it up as a 6'1 PG on the Thunder, through 35 games i'm averaging 22 6 12. though it's obviously a bit skewed since it took me 10+ games to become a starter. i probably average close to 30 8 and 14 as a starter. already have 4 triple doubles and missed a few others by a single rebound.
the shooting percentages are going to be a bit horrendous for each level of difficulty(it needs to be addressed)...what you want to ask yourself is whether you want to give the cpu an extreme advantage over you...upping the difficulty might still mean poor shooting from your teammates but it really does bold well for your opponents who sinks shots at a more incredible rate...so instead of playing a game of 5 on 5...you're literally playing a game of 1 on 9Comment

Re: Your Myplayer Career (NBA 2K11)
Yeah, I think they give John Wall to much hype considering Im averaging 6 more points then him, have had multiple 40 point games, and broke the Pistons team record for Points scored with 59.
I guess now that I got traded back to the Magic I can get my assists up, my last game there I had 12 then in Detriot I couldn't get past 5 due to Ben Gordon playing like Shaq from 3Comment

Re: Your Myplayer Career (NBA 2K11)
pick 9 , went to the jazz ... averaged a trip-dub through the combine and summer league (19/14/10)
was difficult getting into any sort of form to start the season (mainly because of the adjustments i had to make to the new play vision feature that was added into myplayer with the latest patch) but im 15 games in and starting to find my feet.
averaging 11/10/7 , jazz are 9-6 , and ive got my first billboard. also, the organization asked me to pick 5 players whom id like to play with. i didnt wanna make it unrealistic if a trade actually went down, and i was scared of losing deron if i went for a guy like melo , so decided to pick players who would be role players and fill a void we had.
o yea im a 6'4'' sgComment

Re: Your Myplayer Career (NBA 2K11)
Not a fan of the new changes, I said I'd wait and play alot of games, before I just blindly bash after one day...
But I hate it so much, and there are 4 things that really get on my nerves:
1. The speed (dribble drill) work around was horrible in the beginning, because you could go long lengths without getting a speed increase, BUT NOW!!!!!!!! I went through 3 days just to get one speed (Luckily it was during the regular season, So I can play games and not be afraid of losing my drills. Like it happens in Summer League and Combine.)
2. People were saying ... "U noobs, why are you complaining, you can just play like before and they'll still act like before." No they don't!!! If you say you can play like before the patch, you are in denial... They never pass the ball, and you can do it almost every play and most likely a bad jump shot will be thrown up if you don't initiate the play.
3. The Fast Breaks are completely different, I was never the cherry pick, every play kind of person ... I would only run if my man was at the top of the key. But now they don't throw it down at all, I know position can play a part, but PG have had the ball and still don't throw the outlet... Without getting the ball during most plays, this should be an easy way to at least get double digits points off Fast Breaks...
4. The plays are so horrible sometimes, It feels like on my screens sometimes they pick, sometimes they don't... and I'll be running plays sometimes, definitely am not open, and the CPU will force it, and cause a turnover... Of course my match up is blazing down the court and scores
I do like a couple things though:
1. Rebounding is a lot better, I actually feel if I box out, I have a better chance of getting the ball even with a height deficiency (6'5 SF), mostly because I probably get subbed at PF so much
2. The plays, when they work are pretty good, I love running off of 2 or 3 picks and being open for a mid range or 3 pt jump shot ...
That's all I can really think of at this moment that was really changed.... And the negatives outweigh the pros by a lot. It's not unplayable, but it definitely not much fun, I'll play it some more, But I feel the climb will be long and frustrating, and I truly won't appreciate the mode again until I'm a beast (60 overall +)PSN = Leo202ndcComment

Re: Your Myplayer Career (NBA 2K11)
im going to get two more triple doubles to get that 25 milestone....then i'll start a new game file for a new career just to see how difficult it is post-patch with a lower rated player since the patch came out when my player was already 80+Comment

Re: Your Myplayer Career (NBA 2K11)
You guys ever noticed when your objective is to stop elite players like LBJ, there seems to be a force field of some kind or your player doesn't move like normal (Bad enough the animations aren't as quick and responsive as your stick skills)?
I'm early in my season (started over) to be a 6'6 all around SF 51 OVR, on All-Star level/12min. I was drafted by the Bucks but asked to be traded and went to the Magic. The team is on a 10 game losing streak because my teammates are throwing up contested shots at a high rate. And there aren't many plays that are designed for me to score. I have the play diagram up to try and follow the play being run. Should I simply take over to get a jump in production? I'm averaging 9.8ppg/5.7reb/4.5ast. I have a 82 mid range shot, and 76 close and near basket. I don't even try to jack up any threes at 52.
I have been bumping up the vertical with skill points and noticed my player is dunking every once in a while when he's open or on a fast break.
Where can I get some really good tips to get better production?Comment

What was the patch for? I'm sorry if this answer is somewhere else. I haven't been on here for a long while. I did notice 1.20 was downloading and didn't know for what.Comment
