I'm killing it with the 'Textbook' jumper 11/12 from 3pt in a game earlier, just kept mixing my shooting with '2's' and I was on fire!

There were a few on here who suggested the same thing (forgive me for not searching for you guys) but I did this and want to thank those for making the suggestion, you saved My Player mode for me. I like that my team mates will actually hit open shots and we're not dead last in scoring.

I had Jordan's for the same reason you did (used to it from the Jordan challenges), but I was getting screwed up with the quicker release points post patch. After switching to Harden's (Waves) I'm shooting over 50% from three with my 3 pointer at 90 and my consistency at 25 (believe it or not).

If I request a trade is there anyway I can cancel it? If not how long does it usually take to get traded? I really think I made a mistake asking for a trade. I was drafted by Portland as a SG and I do get decent minutes and shot attempts, but, our team stinks. The other guys toss up brick after brick and I got frustrated. Anyway I would appreciate any info on recinding a trade request.

Re: Your Myplayer Career (NBA 2K11)

Got the game on Christmas, so I'm a little ways into my career thus far. I'm a 6'0" 46 OVR All-Around PG out of Penn State and got selected 28th by the Memphis Grizzlies in the draft.

I'm doing okay. I'm averaging a little over 7 PPG, 3 RPG and 2 APG in about 28 minutes in the nine games (out of 19, my guy got an ankle injury that had me out for 10 games) I've played so far. I was doing great in the combine, averaging close to a triple double, but I was quickly hit with a reality check when I got into the NBA.

I admit that I do not have the best shot selection. I throw up a lot of 3's, and I'm shooting about 33% from the field and 25% behind the arc. Looking to get those numbers up, particularly my FG %. I just have a bad habit when it comes to shooting the trey ball, so I guess I'll just have to start choosing my shots wisely.

My teammates, however, are another story. Rudy Gay hits absolutely nothing and O.J. Mayo will throw up anything. I've been trying to get my assists numbers up, but it's pretty hard to do so when you have guys missing wide open shots constantly. Plus, I get played at the 2 a lot, so I'm constantly abused by guys that have nearly half a foot on me. We're 9-11 I believe, so all is not bad.

Overall, I'm having a lot of fun. I'm actually glad I'm not just running through the league in my rookie year. It's a bit challenging working your way up, but it's a fun road to go down and I'm sure it will all be worth it in the end when my player progresses slowly but surely.

allright, ill save up to about 10 thousand which might be 10 games maybe more adn work on speed if i get any drills.

aside from the jordan challenges...i just like the animation on jordan's shot for some reason

but holy...i'll test out that Waves jumpshot....i wonder how good you'll be shooting with it at 99 consistency and off-dribble

you cant cancel trades once you have requested for one...the only thing you could do now is hope that your team doesnt find any offers....a suggestion for next time is to make an extra(backup) game save file

as for how long a trade will take to go through....i have no clue...i want to say 5-7 games? i did it once but i had an extra game save file which i reloaded because they sent me to a cruddy team

take care of that durability...it's a liability...hell...it's a liability even at 99...but it's usually less severe of an injury

get your durability up as well...the injuries that you will sustain(if that) are usually ankle sprains in which you can sit out for 2-4 days....very minor(for some reason whenever i get injured i have gaps in my schedule where i normally wouldnt miss a single game or just one)

once you get consistency and shot off dribble up...try nailing 3's by pulling up in transition or when you come off of a running animation...the release are usually smoother...

i wouldnt rely too heavily on jumpshooters because they're so bad in this mode....master the pick and roll and get your assists to players who attack the rim

i would mix in 2's but i dont want to score that much points...im doing just enough to become the scoring champion

i mainly just sink 8-10 three pointers and that's the brunt of my scoring...im trying to get the 1000 three pointers made milestone...

I got injured again in 2nd Q, but I still got POG. Bad time. All Star weekend is coming up fast. I think I can make Rookie game, though.
I won rookie of the month.

My off-dribble and 3 pointer are both at 90, it's just my consistency is low. But yeah, let me know what you think of Waves though. It's probably not the jumper, I just probably take good shots.

A cool animation I've never seen before. I'm playing my old team for the first time on my home court, and I'm in the corner with the ball. I hit Favors with the pass. As he barrels through two defenders to get me the assist, my guy runs along the sidelines high-fiving fans. It was the coolest thing ever. should have saved the replay.

The reporters also asked me about facing my old team after being traded which was a nice touch.
