Re: Your Myplayer Career (NBA 2K11)
I recently made the switch from simulation to default and haven't looked back! Now my team consistantly scores 90+ points and I don't have to score as often as I should on sim.
Try a game on pro and one on all-star. See what you like best... I'm still switching between the two.Originally posted by Anthony BourdainThe celebrity chef culture is a remarkable and admittedly annoying phenomenon. Re: Your Myplayer Career (NBA 2K11)
I had Jordan's for the same reason you did (used to it from the Jordan challenges), but I was getting screwed up with the quicker release points post patch. After switching to Harden's (Waves) I'm shooting over 50% from three with my 3 pointer at 90 and my consistency at 25 (believe it or not).Comment

Re: Your Myplayer Career (NBA 2K11)
If I request a trade is there anyway I can cancel it? If not how long does it usually take to get traded? I really think I made a mistake asking for a trade. I was drafted by Portland as a SG and I do get decent minutes and shot attempts, but, our team stinks. The other guys toss up brick after brick and I got frustrated. Anyway I would appreciate any info on recinding a trade request.Comment

Re: Your Myplayer Career (NBA 2K11)
Just had a career game of 25 points 5 rebounds and 11 assists against raptors got jordan player of the game had 3 milestones including shooting 60% from the field had my first injury a few weeks back and my team went down to lots of losses so im hoping that i can come in again and get them back up to a decent seedingComment

Re: Your Myplayer Career (NBA 2K11)
Got the game on Christmas, so I'm a little ways into my career thus far. I'm a 6'0" 46 OVR All-Around PG out of Penn State and got selected 28th by the Memphis Grizzlies in the draft.
I'm doing okay. I'm averaging a little over 7 PPG, 3 RPG and 2 APG in about 28 minutes in the nine games (out of 19, my guy got an ankle injury that had me out for 10 games) I've played so far. I was doing great in the combine, averaging close to a triple double, but I was quickly hit with a reality check when I got into the NBA.
I admit that I do not have the best shot selection. I throw up a lot of 3's, and I'm shooting about 33% from the field and 25% behind the arc. Looking to get those numbers up, particularly my FG %. I just have a bad habit when it comes to shooting the trey ball, so I guess I'll just have to start choosing my shots wisely.
My teammates, however, are another story. Rudy Gay hits absolutely nothing and O.J. Mayo will throw up anything. I've been trying to get my assists numbers up, but it's pretty hard to do so when you have guys missing wide open shots constantly. Plus, I get played at the 2 a lot, so I'm constantly abused by guys that have nearly half a foot on me. We're 9-11 I believe, so all is not bad.
Overall, I'm having a lot of fun. I'm actually glad I'm not just running through the league in my rookie year. It's a bit challenging working your way up, but it's a fun road to go down and I'm sure it will all be worth it in the end when my player progresses slowly but surely.Comment

Re: Your Myplayer Career (NBA 2K11)
For speed I started of with Athletic which started me at 85. I than did the drill/load trick to max out speed.
I don't touch my stats till after every 10 games. 10 games worth of saved up points took my 3pt from 50ish to 84. Than I just did the shooting drill to get it up. If you shoot nothing but 3's during the drill, more than likely you will be rewarded with 1 or 2 3pt skill points.Comment

but holy...i'll test out that Waves jumpshot....i wonder how good you'll be shooting with it at 99 consistency and off-dribble

as for how long a trade will take to go through....i have no clue...i want to say 5-7 games? i did it once but i had an extra game save file which i reloaded because they sent me to a cruddy team

once you get consistency and shot off dribble up...try nailing 3's by pulling up in transition or when you come off of a running animation...the release are usually smoother...
i wouldnt rely too heavily on jumpshooters because they're so bad in this mode....master the pick and roll and get your assists to players who attack the rimLast edited by -ENiGMA724-; 01-13-2011, 09:24 PM.Comment

i got snubbed as a rookie because i missed like 3-5 games....john wall even made the all-star selection even though i was above him in roty votes and led mvp votes...Comment

Re: Your Myplayer Career (NBA 2K11)
A cool animation I've never seen before. I'm playing my old team for the first time on my home court, and I'm in the corner with the ball. I hit Favors with the pass. As he barrels through two defenders to get me the assist, my guy runs along the sidelines high-fiving fans. It was the coolest thing ever. should have saved the replay.
The reporters also asked me about facing my old team after being traded which was a nice touch.Comment
