As an all-around small-forward, I think NJ is where it's at for many reasons.

#1) they're not already stacked. No one wants to go the Miami route and ride other superstars coattails to a championship , they want to create their own niche and follow the cover athlete's footsteps.

#2) The savior factor. The Nets have been looking for a franchise guy and are having a hard time getting Melo. You can be better than Melo and save a team that was challenging for the worst win total of all time last season.

#3) Two to grow with. The Nets have two guys with limitless potential in Brook Lopez (22) and Derek Favors (20). Who's messing with a front court of you and them? As you mature and progress, so will they. A dynasty in the making! You want assists, these two will deliver.

#4) Devin Harris is a great scoring guard who will also get you assists or set you up for baskets. Also great at running the break and throwing it down.

#5) With Damion James at the three you will split time at the 2 and 3 which is pretty nice.

#6) Whatever teams you wish to go to, look at their playbook before you do so you don't end up spotting up at the three point line again. In the main menu of the game, where the rosters are you can view the playbooks for every team. Look at the teams you are interested in and see what plays are called for a starter at your position. I did this for NJ and love their playbook.

Yea I see what you are saying. On the 360, I was a PG and I got traded to Heat. It got boring quick. NJ would be a good team to go to. I did not look playbooks yet. I have to look. I already asked for a trade. Hopefully it is not a team that relies on 3's.

So I'm trying to get back into this since my influx of Christmas games has taken alot of time.

My original player somehow got corrupted and I can't load him up anymore.

Started a new one and got drafted to the Hawks. Hopefully they can shoot better then the previous two teams I played for. Kings/Wizards


I was thinking of already asking for a trade back to the Kings, My Fav team, but I think I'll stick it out with the Hawks.

the player i created is only saved under a certain profile - that is annoying!

the my player file should be saved to the actual XBOX rather than to a specific profile, coz i ran out of my free XBOX LIVE on 1 account, so switched to my other account that still has 11 months left and now i have to start my player all over again!

So you guys know, I ran into an interesting problem that hopefully you will avoid.

I always keep like 3 save files per guy in case of glitches or freezing.

Very long story short, I finally decided I'm never going to play my old my pre-patch player and saved over him with my new guy. The old file was called "Nets". I saved my new guy to it and the very next game, I noticed my playbook was radically different. I went to the main menu and found out this crappy playbook was called "User Playbook 2" and I lost the Nets real playbook (and my coach hadn't been fired.

I think this was the result of overwriting a pre-patch save file. Luckily I only had to replay that one game (though it was my 101 point game), and the next time I saved to a new file called "Nets1". Next game, my playbook was in tact.

I asked for a trade out of Detroit. I couldn't handle Stuckey and Gordon shooting every time down the court. Got traded to the Bucks and it is a little better. Jennings and Salmons shoot a lot but not as much.

How long did it take you guys to start on your respective teams? I am only 8 games in.

Took me about 20-25 games... cant remember exactly.
I was drafted to OKC at PG and was surprised that I took Westbrooks spot so fast even though my numbers justified it. Just finished my 1st season and had to leave as I felt bad seeing Westbrooks rating drop 9 points! Im now with the New York Knicks after getting traded from the Magic 5 games in. Couldnt handle seein Dwight Howard take short jumpers over attacking the rim when he took an open pass. Plus the Knicks were the team I wanted to play for in the 1st place. Cant beat playing in the Garden!

Loving this game so far. My first bball game since probably NBA Live 2001 or so, and it has really delivered. My Player is my go to mode for now, so I have a few questions.

I'm a pass first PG, drafted by the Hawks. Was excited about this prospect, but am not thrilled with a couple things. I consider myself a realism buff, so I like to enjoy the game without "cheese" or unrealistic settings / plays / actions.

1) Why am I starting at an ovr rating of 50 and Bibby is benched? Furthermore, why am I now playing 35 minutes per game (after only 15 games total in my career...)?

2) How come I can't make a jumper to save my life? 75 is my med. range rating, 70 is my close range, SIT is 70, consistency 70, yet I have to rely on layups or FT to score.

3) Why can't Joe Johnson score? He's avg 15ppg and FG% of 30% or so. I'd figure my star would have more production / take over more.

4) How can I stop Jamal Crawford from launching 3's every play? I like his play style in general, but then some moments he just starts chucking 3s. Like last night, when I was up by 3 against the Mavs in a hard fought game, less than one minute left, and he chucks a 3 with 18 on the shot clock.

5) How can I get more players to lock down in the post? I don't want Smith or Horford dribbling away from the blocks and taking fade away 20 footers when I feed them down low.

I lost patience and asked for a trade after my 12th game. Waited, the team said sorry, couldn't find a fit. So I asked for another one with new teams.

I got the message after last game saying : "You were traded to the Spurs."

What, the Spurs? Are you kidding me! OMG, can't wait to play my first game with the Spurs!

To see that I'm still with the Pacers, and when I got in the "Play next game", I'm still with the team and nothing as changed.

I tried to ask for another trade, but got the message : "You have to wait 5 games before asking for a trade from your new team!"

Well, so much for the trade I guess. I'll have to suffer for some games with the same poor shooting by James Posey and Dahntay Jones!

Ahh! Came one rebound away from my first triple double as a 6'3 PG. It was my first game as a starter, and the nets must not be allowed to win because even when I drop 32-13-9 on the other team we lose. Oh well. I like playing with the nets so probably not gonna ask for a trade.

Took me 7. put quartes to 12 min for maximum performance. Im on the pistons also, i wanted to get trade there becuase for me, they feed me very time. Just call for the pass twice, but not three so you dont get excessive call for pass.

How do you get so many assists? I avrge 46 ppg 7.8 rebs and 1.8 asts. Im a SG and i have no idea how to do pick and rolls with a SG.

i'm on the pistons as a point guard and the first year we barely made the post season. second season we signed carmelo anthony and we're 44 n 0. if you still have greg monroe get him the ball on pick n roll or in the post. and if you run plays for gorden he shoots a little better then if he just runs around.
