I'm not sure what happen but for like 2 games my playbook had changed and they was calling these stupid plays that had me setting screens all day. I don't mind setting screens but I put almost all my points into my down low game so I coulde get the off rebound and just put it back up. Just checked the votes for mvp and rookie of the year...I'm sec in the mvp race and first in the rookie race.

Re: Your Myplayer Career (NBA 2K11)
Ah gotcha. Well I know what I'm investing in now.
I feel like I am starting to get the hang of the shot stick and iso motion. I feel I have a lot more control over my player each day. What shooting style do you guys use? Right now I am using the default SG jumpshot. I am shooting roughly 35-40% from the field each game. My summer team just got crushed by the Spurs though which didn't help my progression. Greg Monroe couldn't do anything against Blair and my crappy PG wouldn't give up the ball.
My biggest complaint is your defensive assignment changing so much in transition. A lot of times I am covering someone and one of my idiot AI teammates is off lost somewhere. His guy scores and it blames me for not picking him up.
If I am off the ball how do I call plays or how do I get my PG to call plays (on PS3)? Right now I am just running around screening for people and calling for screens. It's working don't get me wrong but I would like to change it up some.Comment

As far as calling plays, you have to have the ball to do it. Usually, I call plays when I get a rebound and decide not to push the break. I know my playbook well enough to know the ones that don't really involve me at all. If I see that blue circle, I'll cancel it, try to go around a teammate to get open and call for the ball when coming off a screen. If the CPU passes it to me with time, I can call a quick play, if not, I'll pull up, drive to the hole, or do a quick pick and roll. If he doesn't pass the ball when I'm coming off the screen, I'll usually set up behind him and call for the ball a second time. With his defender and mine in front of him, he'll usually pass the ball back to me with nowhere to go and I can then make something happen with whatever time is left.Last edited by Streets; 01-04-2011, 12:33 PM.Comment

Anywho. Anyone think there's any correlation between not touching the cones in Dribble Course and getting speed bonuses?Comment

Re: Your Myplayer Career (NBA 2K11)
i use 9 minute quarters while having the cpu simulated games set at their original 12 minute quarters
what i do is get my triple double and intentionally get into foul trouble so i sit out a bunch of minutes on the bench while the game simulates itself...Last edited by -ENiGMA724-; 01-04-2011, 07:37 PM.Comment

since i did all of the jordan challenges when i got the game...im really used to his jumper....it's actually a pretty quick release if you're pulling up and shooting a 3 in transition...im shooting around ~.550 in FG and .500 from the perimeter
the defensive rotation is really slow in this game...but you can usually make those lost teammate points back up by getting a rebound or an assist...dont worry too much about the mechanics of this flaw...
pretty much do what streets wrote...but supposedly after you call the play...you have to give the ball back to the PG for him to run the play automatically...but again...just cancel the play with the L1 if you dont like the one being runned
i just know that now after signing with a different team in the off-season...i automatically lose my floor general status and have to regain it back with each team...it usually only takes 5-8 games for me to get floor general now...
what's wrong with the pick and roll? are you holding it too long? it might result in a pick and pop in that case....Comment

Re: Your Myplayer Career (NBA 2K11)
Well, my Nets are currently the hottest team in the league, riding a 7 game win streak, and we've even moved up to 14th place!
However, the biggest streak in the NBA? My (ex-) Raptors, who have yet to win a game since I was dealt to Jersey. 0-16 since my departure and still in the top 8. That's how good we were when I was there.Comment

Re: Your Myplayer Career (NBA 2K11)
man I have had a crazy first season so far
I'm a 6'7 athletic SG
I get drafted by portland. Play about 10 games there and get effing tired of Brandon Roy doing his normal dumbness..
Request and get a trade to the knicks. going great till they start doing dumb trades. we're in 5th in the east and go on a slide. I get hurt for two weeks. Come back and see they traded Amare for Igoudala. So basically they traded form y backup/. I beg and beg but they wont trad eme. ! day before the deadline, I get traded to the bulls. turns out D Rose is out for 4-6 weeks
Works great for me. I start at SG and within 2 mins, i get subbed to PG. I beast on the small guys trying to guard me. We go on a streak and are tied for 1st in the East. funny thing is that i'm getting all kinds of accolades because I got the ball in my hands. ROy and player of the week awards. Good times. I just know i'll be taking a backseast when rose is back. PPG went up form 5.7 a game to 11 a game on the bulls. hoping to hold of Wall for ROY. Cant wait to keep playingComment
