Re: Your Myplayer Career (NBA 2K11)

is there a way i can choose the type of playbook my team runs. I'm with the bobcats now in year 4 and i'm not a 3pt shooter. I barely get plays when i get it i'm spotted for a 3

i know how to call for an alley oop...it's the finishing part...i can only do what illwill10 can and that's merely flicking the ball in for a tip in...all my stats are maxed out so i dont know what the issue is...timing? height? because im thinking if im at the point where i can flip the ball in...it shouldnt be all too impossible to throw it down

this is the only thing i havent been able to do in the game with my PG...i've already done a putback dunk once which i wont lie, came to me as a surprise
I've got a play that is almost a guaranteed oop. But, I'm a small forward. The thing is, I think you have to have a guy with the passing and awareness to throw it to you, and that's usually the PG. When our rookie shooting guard subs in at point, I never get the lob when I cut to the basket, but when Harris is in, it's highlight time. I wanted to upload the highlight reel of oops I made, but it has to be limited to 19 seconds, which sucks.

I made me a 6'10" All-Around PF who resembles his game after Chris Bosh. I snuck in the first round by being selected by the Wizards at pick 30. After an impressive summer league, I am the first big off the bench, but it has not been easy. The last game I did manage to put up 10 points though against NY at the Garden. Wizards have started out 0-5 and none of the games have been close.

My dunk is a 73. But I have the 10+ shoes. Once The 3+ or 5+ Med shot shoes come up I will switch.
So I can dunk. I might have to get a new controller.

The starting PG for my team(Stuckey) turnover the ball 3-6 times. My team turnover the ball 12-22 times a game

I feel bad. Devin Harris' turnovers have gone up astronomically since I learned to oop. I ran the play (back when I was a starter and could) all the time. Much of the time it ended in a lob to the defender and a fastbreak the other way. No turnover or missed shot penalties for me fortunately. But poor Devin...

Oh yeah and I hate Nick Young when he is in the game, I always get position down low and either jacks up a 3 or holds the ball and I get called for 3 seconds, every time. Bastard.

John Wall is legit though, he looks to pass to me all the time, I love it.

Having trouble finding a release for my athletic PG, he is 6' 3" with 95 shot medium, 90 shoot off dribble and 87 consistency. I have never had a a problem with making shots, but it seems like with higher stats I am doing terrible lol. What shot animation do you guys recommend? Also Im having trouble getting assist every time I pass it to someone that is wide open they don't take the shot, but every time they get perfectly contested they make the shot, but I won't get an assist because it takes them 9 hours to take shot. Maybe being on the Bucks is part of the problem, but Im pretty sure Im just a bad PG, I usually play PF lol.

Since I am the go-to-guy, I dont have to call for the pass unless It is intended for me and they are taking to long to pass it to me. If we run 40 plays I get called for 30. Most of Stuckey turnovers are when he passes to me and a defender tips the ball(all the time). The turnovers when at the wrong time(especially on the plays I love).
I love being the Go-to guy. Once I max Shoot low post(60-68) and 3pt(61) I can truly strive with this team.

I really need to start using Direct(Button) passing. If I dont use button for a specific player, my player will just pass to anyone that cause turnovers

I am in the first year with a 6'4'' Athletic Point Guard.
I am with the hornets though, so I rarely play the point
Any suggestions for me to get assists, as I struggle with them.

Assists will come once a go-to-guy(Mostly likely with a different team). You will get double teamed a lot and someone will get open.

Just got my first ever Triple Dub. 40-19-11. I never thought I would get over 5 assists. Being the main threat opens up alot of players open when you are being doubled

you cant choose your playbook per se...it's based on the coaches of the team...you might have to find a different team if you dont like the way things are being called in charlotte....either that or hope for a new coach

do you know the stat caps for an all-around PF? i was thinking about creating such a type of player but i wasnt sure which had an overall better statistical output in every category...like my all-round PG is better in the long run compared to the other molds of athletic, 3 pt. specialist, and etc.

i mean i've tried it when derrick rose was still my teammate and he was at the SG slot...it's always the same tip/layup finish...im thinking it's height but like i said...if my player can get that high for a soft finish like a layup...im sure it's possible to dunk the pass
