Yes, that is dumb. i played through the combine and training camp with the heat only to start the season to see that lebrons number is 24 since mine was 6 and i had to restart

Playing center has become incredibly boring. I'm double teamed on every possession, no matter who I play. Even Orlando and Boston call for the double team every time. I've got a task right now of "Score at least 11 baskets using post moves", but I can't even get one.

something weird happend to my player, i was simming games after a trade request to try to get traded to boston, i have done this many times with no problem. This last time when i was traded it said that i was traded to denver but when the screen cleared i still played for spurs but it was like i just got traded to them. I thought it might have been a one time thing so i simmed 10 more games and was traded again and the same thing happened. I luckily have a backup save that seems unaffected but was just curious if anyone else ran into this???

Finally had a big game. It was against my hometown Pistons no less. Dropped 52 points 5 assists, 2 boards, 2 blocks and a steal. They had fired John Kuester in favor of Jay Triano but man, is that team a mess. Their defense consisted of running around like a chicken with it's head cut off! Last time I played the Pistons, they were much, much more disciplined. Oh well, I'll take the stats!

my 6'5 point guard career stated off ok. drafted to the Knicks in the 2nd round. was the 6th man until Felton went down wit an injury. named the starter after that. averaged about 21pts 8ass 8rebs (broke teams single game points record) but couldn't get on a roll with winning. me and amare were the only two scoring. asked for a trade when I was around a 45 overall but was denied. got my skill points up and started winning. asked for another trade around 55 overall and was traded to the lakers for a nobody. named the starter over fisher and my career took off. rookie v soph game mvp. all-star game MVP. league MVP. ROY. all NBA 1st team. all rookie 1st team. avg 28pts 8ass 7rebs. best record in the league. got the playoffs and now odom, bynaum, and brown are out for the season. startin 5- me, Kobe, barnes, pau, and artest at center with Morrison, fisher, Blake, and walton comin off the bench. after an amazing sweep over the Yao Ming (31pts 15rebs 5 blks in the series) we now have a 1-0 lead over dirk and the mavs. my playoff avgerage is a crazy 60pts 5ass 8rebs. my overall is a 72

I'm averaging 25 ppg, 7 rpg, 5 apg and 2 spg and 1 bpg shooting at 62% and an average teammate rating of A+ playing 8 min quarters. I'm second in the league in scoring, behind Bryant and my PER and EFF are #1. My defense is really good, my mid-range shot is unstoppable. I've played 22 games and my player's rated 57 overall; I got the billboard and magazine cover endorsements from Jordan. I'm a starter now, starting over Ginobili (the second highest rated player on the Spurs lol). My team's 19-3.

But it's getting a bit boring now; especially because there's no play calling or any sort of organization on the floor. I feel it's getting too repetitive... same thing game in game out. The post game press conferences don't live up to the hype, and I really haven't seen any ramifications resulting from my choices in the conferences. Also, why is there no information about player contracts in "my player"? I'd like to know how much they're paying me, my options etc...

P.S. This is my first 2k game, I used to play Live until Live 07 came along, then I just stopped playing basketball games. If a noob like me is doing this well in "My Player", then I bet the pros out there are tearing it up.
Try to change the difficulty level, Hall of fame to see...
Concerning the contracts there are not "available", each year you will have the option to change the team you are playing with to some others interesting.
I hope NBA 2K11 will fix this by an upate because no contracts is no realistic at ALL!!!!

well so far in my career with the Thunder im a 6'8 athletic guard

I have increased my mins now to about 30 and just got the nod for the starting position about 4 or 5 games ago. My team is 11-9(loss in OT to the Raptors, Durant missed the tying jumper)

                          Now i am avg 17.0ppg 5.6rpg 4.8apg

Oh and i just got awarded the rookie of the month.

So i am feeling pretty good

P.s i am also happy that my speed is looking decent now at 85, i am going to try and save up a little more to get it to 90.

Just started probably my last My Player... I have made an All Around 6'2 SG, and I only have one complaint. I could of swore on 2K website the cap for speed for a SG was a 98-99, but when I get to almost maxed, It turns out to be an 95... WTH MAN LoL

two things that I find "creepy", the first when I am walking into the parking garage and the coach is stalking me from a far while talking to the camera man, thats "creepy".

Secondly durring the confrence Gilbert Arenas is sitting off my right should eyeballing me like he wants to slice me up into a dozen pieces is a bit "creepy" as well.

It doesn't seem like there is a good balance on any difficulty...blowing out the Blazers on pro default with an A+ grade, 17 points, 3 reb, 2 assists...22 point lead in the 3rd(6 mins left in 3rd with 11 minute quarters)...on pro sim I am sure I'd be getting blown out, as would I be getting blown out on all star default. What are people getting good results on? I guess I would try again if you were using one of the ones I mentioned.

edit: Ended up going 28 points, 5 assists, 5 rebounds, 1 steal in a 95-76 blowout.
