The thing that raises your stock is your teammate grade. I am not sure if the amount of Skill Points you gain has any effect but I know the teammate grade has a big effect on where you end up and how high your pro stock is. Simming quarters for combine wont matter. The players will be drafted in the order they are drafted in regardless of where you go.

Re: Your Myplayer Career (NBA 2K11)
when building up your player is it better to max out one attribute and move on to the next one? Or do you spread around all of your skill points when you use them?
thanks.Comment

Re: Your Myplayer Career (NBA 2K11)
me personally i usually spread them out so now i wait until i get around 10000 points then i go an upgrade myplayer. some people max out one attribute then move on however make sure you can score because you get more points if you score also helps with getting a good teammate grade. if you play solid b-ball you will get a good team-mate grade no matter if u score 30 or 3 pointsComment

Re: Your Myplayer Career (NBA 2K11)
I agree with the poster above me. What I do is improve my player in one aspect on offense that will make my guy a threat. I usually do mid range. Then I start to spread things out equally among different attributes.Comment

Re: Your Myplayer Career (NBA 2K11)
I gotta say the injury rate with my player is alarming, playing through a game that I have an ingame save for and the guy can't make it through the game without getting injured. Not to mention he has only played 1 game since already returning from an injury already, I think I should rename my player greg oden at this point.Comment

I am actually enjoying playing for the Wizards, as long as John "ball hog" Wall doesnt come in its enjoyable, although I still want to go back to the Bulls (spent 2k10 with them) and possibly the Nuggets although played a road game there last night and the buzzer was murdering my ears and not at all the sound I remember when I went to a game last year.
as for the john 'ball hog' wall thing, for the the most part if you make cuts and get open near rose, he'll find you...with a decent enough mid-range jumper you can easily score 30+ ppg depending on your minutes....im a 6th man pg that comes in for the 2 spot and i rarely ever have to free myself up with isomotion once rose gets the ball to meLast edited by -ENiGMA724-; 10-26-2010, 12:46 AM.Comment

Re: Your Myplayer Career (NBA 2K11)
It took me 1 season of 8min quarters and I'm a 91 now... I was on the Spurs for my first season, but at the end of the season I switched over to the Bulls. They traded away Noah for Tyson Chandler + other junk, so we're getting killed on the boards. Oh and I'm playing on All-Star difficulty, Default.Comment

Re: Your Myplayer Career (NBA 2K11)
I'm thinking of playing on superstar difficulty... I've tried it before but I just couldn't hit any of my shots. I can't get the release right for some reason. Does anyone have suggestions on what player's shot I should give my player? Right now I have Jordan's jumpers and Kobe's fade aways. I'd like some suggestions on shooters with sweet releases... not too quick but not too slow either. ThanksComment

Re: Your Myplayer Career (NBA 2K11)
There is no doubt in my mind that this mode artificially increases the stats of every opponent CPU player and nerfs the stats of the User's CPU players. I just finished a game, Mavs (my team) vs the Kings. I have yet to see Jason Kidd make a single jumpshot, ever. The whole time I've played with the Mavs he has passed up every single open shot and ran into a group of 3 defenders to jack up a fadeaway.
I have yet to see my big men box out once. NOT EVEN ONCE. Cousins, Landry, and Dalembert each have 6 offensive rebounds. Every single time I tipped a pass it immediately goes into the hands of the intended player and he passed it to a big man for a quick dunk. This same exact sequence happened at least 5 times, they were running the same play over and over again I saw it coming every time and me tipping the passes somehow made it easier for them to score.
I have yet to see Cousins or Landry miss a shot after posting up. Landry hit a fade away through a double team AND he got fouled. It's like every single CPU post player is Hakeem.
I was able to keep up until the 4th quarter by scoring 39 points in 3 quarters, then as soon as the 4th started up the real nonsense started. The CPU shot 75% from the field, I swear the only shots they didn't miss were the ones I blocked. I wasn't able to score every trip down because my player was exhausted by then so I lost by 20.Comment

Re: Your Myplayer Career (NBA 2K11)
is it the same for everybody when i played myplayer do all the big men shoot outrageous numbers from the field nothing makes me more angry than having big men shoot over 70 percent a game no matter who they areComment

Re: Your Myplayer Career (NBA 2K11)
So if I set the playing quarters to 5 mins and the simming quarters to 1 min, will that give my player a greater advantage over the rest of the draft class and raise his stock in the draft by lowering everyone else's time?
Sorry, I'm a noob so don't know the answer to this. Be gentle.
Yes, you'll have the advantage if you lower the sim minutes, they will have lower production than yours, but will still depend on how you play...slow motion is better than no motion, now keep moving!Comment

Re: Your Myplayer Career (NBA 2K11)
Made my NBA Debut w/ the Knicks last night in game 1 of the 2010-11 season.
Played 18 minutes off the bench scoring 7 pts, dishing 8 assists, grabbing 2 boards, committing only 1 turnover, and getting a block and steal as well. Went 1/1 from 3pt range, and 2-7 from the field, and 2/2 from FT...all of this in a win too...86-85 over the Raptors.Originally posted by Edmund BurkeAll that is needed for the triumph of evil, is for good men to do nothing.Comment

I'm a back to the basket C and I find that John Wall actually will give me the ball in the post. Gilbert Arenas is the ball hog. If he makes any sort of basketball move, I just get in position for the rebound because I know he's chucking.NFL - Vikings
