Re: Will You Use Real Player % Or Shot Stick Timing?
...continuing the discussion from the 'Real % - why?' thread...
Neither is really 'better', it just comes down to how you want to play the game.
If you want to learn all the players shooting actions then use shot stick timing.
If you don't want to focus on that kind of micro-detail then just go with Real %.
I personally like shot stick timing but don't really want to spend a lot of time learning all the different player's jump shots. Sometimes I use it, sometimes I don't.
That's the great thing about this game, you can tailor it to suit the way you like to play.Comment

Re: Will You Use Real Player % Or Shot Stick Timing?
Well I for one, will not be using the Real player % anymore. It's completely broken. I've played 4 or 5 games with it and I cannot knock down a wide open mid range jump shot to save my life. I like playing with the Heat because, aside from the obvious, I like trying to replicate certain animations that they do in real life game situations, and I try to play as realistic as possible but this real % garbage is horrible. Honest to god, Mike Miller is one of the best 3 pt shooters in the NBA but he will never hit a wide open 3 no matter how many times you give it to him on the wing, try it. You won't make it.
I'm just not digging it at all but I thought I'd give it a fair run but it's time is done for me. The shot stick is alot more realistic.Comment

I'm loving real player %. I'm actually kind of shocked that I'm hearing people say that it is broken. I actually had to turn my sliders down some because I was making too many threes.SimWorld NBA 2K19 Fictional Draft Classes

Re: Will You Use Real Player % Or Shot Stick Timing?
I'll stick with shot stick timing. I like being rewarded or penalized based on my timing. I feel as if it makes a difference in close games cuz if you rush your shots chances are you'll miss just like in real life.Comment

With real player% on I would never (or maybe once) hit that shot. If forces you to respect everyone on the floor. Then what happens is that people will leave certain people wide open. Not even caring knowing they will miss.Hands Down....Man Down - 2k9 memories

Re: Will You Use Real Player % Or Shot Stick Timing?
No that wouldn't make you respect everyone. What would happen is that you could wander around off of Rondo with out any worry of him hitting any jumpshot. With the shotstick on...It makes you go "oh damn....I need to get a hand in his face". Real player%Hands Down....Man Down - 2k9 memories
