Re: NBA 2k11 Custom Arena Music
I messaged you back but as far as results:
I think Im locked in around 95dB as awhole (TRACK GAINED them all. Album gain is an entirely different process that doenst seem to apply here).
The vast majority sound just right. I have returned my presentation settings back to default. I had lowered crowd volume and commentary. so now with the higher dB, it sounds perfect in game.
Thats for the vast majority of tracks. There are a few that I cant really pinpoint or CARE to pinpoint that need some work.
But being that picky may take me years to get every track sounding just right.
There are a few I may increase. Player sounds seem way too low even at 95. All the "LIVE" Chants may need to be at 98 range. So you may want to start with them all going down to 95db, as a flatline, and then ADD more gain to the other tracksLast edited by RubenDouglas; 10-08-2010, 06:59 PM.Comment

ok i dowloaded the ps3 music on my console and i know that i have to separate the songs by playlists but im a little slow as to which songs goes where cause my idea is to place songs into playlists that real teams use
i guess im asking for a starting point to get things rolling. i seen some songs that has teams names but im really hammered on the generic oneComment

JCEVO, generics go wherever you want. place half in half of the NBA teams playlists with the other half going someplacfe else. Or place them all as one playlist for all arenas.. This is the easy part out of all of this mess.Comment

Re: NBA 2k11 Custom Arena Music
did you download file option #2 by mistake? #3 has been confirmed to work. Im not sure what to tell you. (now listed on the first post is only file option #3, so as to not cause any confusion)

Re: NBA 2k11 Custom Arena Music
rawdeal, I dont know what to tell you. all of the tracks picked up just fine on my ps3 when i used file option #3. and I have heard no other complaints. Is it visibly showing a Corrupt Data icon?
gbx34, the fix, using file option #3 or the new file option #1 is quite simple with MP3gain. So much so that It would take more time re uploading the entire set than it would for that entire program to fix the tracks on your own computer... Even so, many are saying the tracks are too low, just right, or too loud, so if I appease one crowd, I'll get requests for others. Then i'll need to do another file option.
ive done too much work to be doing this back checking. mp3gain will take literally 3 minutes of your time to set up, and it does all the files at once for you. Thats far easier.
If someone else wants to upload something, then by all meansComment

Re: NBA 2k11 Custom Arena Music
Thank you for the help. I was correct, it is the Galaga theme. Here is the theme below, but not that exact version. It is very close to the Thunder version, but not 100%. Do you think you could get it up to par with the db's Ruben? If it sounds good enough in game, I might just keep it. Cheers!

-added reverb and the dBs are set around 95. Pretty much every song was set around that mark
MediaFire is a simple to use free service that lets you put all your photos, documents, music, and video in a single place so you can access them anywhere and share them everywhere.
I think it sounds awesome. Presentation is set to default. 100 commentary and sound fx. crowd is at 70. You can possibly go one 1db lower, althought I heard from other mp3gain users that a 1.5dB difference is really all your ear can distinguish. So I dont want to change things too severely.

Re: NBA 2k11 Custom Arena Music
I'm editing some of the tracks for the Lakers Staples Center using ProTools. I'm adjusting the volumes and adding fade to the beginnings and endings of tracks. I'm also cutting the tracks so the songs fit seamlessly in a specific time frame to match what's on screen.
Quick question: Does it only use one song per playlist or does it shuffle through all within the playlist? I'm tired of hearing "Go Lakers Go" all of the time for Home Up Court. I have three sounds for that particular playlist.Comment
