awesome job on this Ruben. can I ask what db you have changed all the files to? I'm playing around with mp3gain but it would help if I knew a good starting db point. are you using constant gain or track gain?

I think most were set to 91 on the onset, which was too low. I then tried 93, and many clips stated they had CLIPPING. Then I jumped to 95db and even more clipping. To be honest, it may be the reverb that is setting up the dBs so high and the song itself isnt really clipping.. Im not all too familiar between the differences in ALBUM gain or TRACK gain. There are a few guides online that may help.

So im just keeping things at 95dB and letting it ride out for a few days

jeebs, in regards to BURNING audio cd's, I had that same issue using one of my computers cd burners.. I then tried another computer and it worked fine in game. The weird thing is, both processes burned to 100% and did so just fine. Its when you try to rip that you have issues. Not everyone has two computers to try on, so it makes it tough. But that solved my problem.

^ shug if you can stream it to your 360 you don't need rip them to the 360 hdd

I won't get the game until thurs but you have to look for the custom arena music option in the game it has nothing to do with xbox dashboard music player

Dirtyneedles is right. If you got them in your MY MUSIC LIBRARY and your PC is listed, you are good to go.. Go to the 2k BEATS area in the 2k11 menu and look for ARENA MUSIC. Now youll have to use that 2k11.htm website page as your GUIDE and get those playlists associated with each arena.


beau21, most are generic. And even the team specific ones, most were REQUESTED or SUGGESTED to be a part of a teams playlist..

90% of the generics came from those websites dirtyneedles posted up there. Magic website, Hawks website, Knicks website, and even the TWOLVES had a arena music listing.. Those all combined for what is basically your GENERIC NBA ARENA.

So yea, I tried to rip the CD I burned some of the tracks I wanted on 2K on, onto my XBOX but when I tried to burn it, it wouldn't let me select that option. Now I just bought a new XBOX last night(4GB)so do you think the fact that it's only 4GB would have anything to do with it? I burned it onto a Audio CD as well.

I have one more suggestion for players sound. I was think how about for Dwanye Wade we have that Queen song for the movie Flash Gordon. We could have that "Flash...Ahhhhh"

I have some of these player sounds up to 95dB and I can still barely hear them. They are at the same dB as the in game stuff and that stuff is loud and clear. I wonder what Im doing wrong with player sounds. It sounds like they are being drowned out BIG time. jeebs, how did you get them in there sounding good?


I told myself I would stop with this editing and just play, but some of these venues sound so flawless. Im playing at WIZARDS ARENA now, and Im hearing no overlapping. Just solid crisp custom arena music.

All LONG tracks are 70 to 90 seconds. With maybe a rare two or three in the 50 second range.

I played at Miami last night and I'm hearing no overlapping songs there.

It just may be MSG.

I'll play a qrt at each venue and figure out where the playlists need to be turned off

mgoblue, I dont think this streaming affects your internet performance. The router uses has two areas, and the streaming locally is different from internet uploading/downloading

Yeah, I figured, just wanted to make sure. If you guys play online and whatnot and are fine then I'll be fine...Way easier than copying all that ish to my 360

Ok, I've read through the entire 47 odd-some pages of this thread since Day 1.

I just need clarification:

--I am on PS3.
--I understand the PS3 music is broke, so if we create Home/Away Up/Down the playlist will NOT play randomly, (it will repeat and get annoying), so it's basically broke.
--BUT, I CAN (& will) create playlist for specific players, POTG, and the halftime show (even though the halftime music only plays for around 6 seconds).

That's what I DO get!

NOW, question.....


Specific player music? I did not know that after a player hits a bucket that "specific player music" plays over the P.A. in NBA games? Is this true? I thought the Public Address announcer announced the player's name and that was it....

...someone please clarify for me so I can make the game the most authentic NBA experience out there.

Is there a limit on playlists cause I have around 60 or so playlists for NHL11 but when scrolling through my playlists for 2k11, it only goes up to a certain point on the playlists I have, so I'm guessing maybe there's a limit to how much playlists the game recognizes?

I'm on ps3.

But has there been any rumored date to when the patch will come out and if it'll possibly fix this?

So Jeebs you're on PS3, now that you have the game the sounds only work for certain things perfectly right?

Can you break down the steps as to how you transfered the sounds. Did you customize all arenas? You used Ruben's files on page 1 correct?
