Re: How's Your Association Going? (2K11)
Just had an absolutely ridiculous 109-101 2OT loss to the Magic with the Knicks. I scored 40 with Amare and managed to snag 11 rebounds, while Raymond Felton scored 17 and got 14 assists.
That wasnt enough to stop Arenas and Jason Richardson though. Richardson won POTG with 32 points. He was unreal from 3-point land, and Arenas was nuts going through the paint and drawing fouls.
Dwight Howard didnt do much at all aside from rebound, I think he finished with only 1 block and 6 points.
I'm currently 3-2, as I simmed the Boston and Chicago games, surprisingly beating both. I lost badly to Portland though, 75-69 (ugly game for both teams). I play the Wizards next and I'm hoping for an easy victory.Comment

Suns drop Game 2 of the Western Conference Quarter Finals to the Lakers 100-81. Kobe was the Player of the Game with 29 points, 7 rebs, 1 steal and 1 block. Vince Carter lead the Suns with 24 points and 9 rebs. Grant Hill also added 19 and 9 boards. Nash, Dragic and Childress all had off games and the rest of the team just couldn't pick up the slack.
LA beat us in basically every facet of the game- rebounds, second chance points, points in the paints, steals, blocks, fast break points, bench scoring, hell every thing. We were pretty much dominated. The series is now tied 1-1. Phoenix looks to bounce back in Game 3 at LA.My 2K17 Boston Celtics MyLeague

Re: How's Your Association Going? (2K11)
Nope, I found out how to do it! Its a good idea to trade away Turian, because he has a player option, and will likely accept. Other than that, either trade Curry, or keep him, doesn't matter. At the end of the year, don't resign anyone, as Chandler and Fields are restricted free agents. You'll have 19 mill cap left, make sure you offer first on Melo (I did, and it seems to make the offer more enticing). You can get Melo, bring back Chandler, and Fields that way.
Playing sim is great!Comment

Re: How's Your Association Going? (2K11)
I am 6-0 with the Knicks. I am playing on All Star difficulty, I have played every game, The sixth game with against the 76ers was a tight game, but in the 3rd quarter, Amare and Landry Fields led the team and started a blowout. We ended up winning 128-111. I have Carmelo and Stephen Curry on my team through some trades I made. My lineup right now is
PG: Raymond Felton/Stephen Curry/Kelenna Azubuike
SG: Landry Fields/Kelenna Azubuike/Wilson Chandler/Bill Walker
SF: Carmelo Anthony/Wilson Chandler
PF: Amare Stoudemire/Serge Ibaka
C: Ronny Turiaf/Anthony Randolph
Currently, Anthony Randolph and Stephen curry is injured, I am not letting them play but once they recover, they will be back on starting lineup.Chicago Bulls 1996

I think I'm going to trade away Azubuike. I don't really like his play style (I prefer athletic guys who can handle the ball & shoot well) and I'd let him go in Free Agency, so might as well see what I can get for him.

Looking to WIN NOW as the Chicago Bulls.
thinking about moving Deng & Brewer (two of my defensive assests) probably in a sign-n-trade 3 team deal. looking for Prince, Hamilton (& maybe McGrady) in return. although Deng is one of my fav, Prince & Hamilton could help me win now. then use Hamilton as trade bait when he is in the last year of his contract.Currently playing:

Re: How's Your Association Going? (2K11)
Started a NY Knicks chise. I generally don't like playing with the Knicks in past 2k games, and you know why. But this is a really fun team to play with.
As of right now, we are 2-0, just played both of my games. The Toronto - Knicks game was close for a while, but Amare came up big with 36 i believe. I actually did really well against the Celtics, beating them by 10. Now i'm playing against the trail blazers, i don't play on playing all 82 games, but most of them.
I plan to keep everything realistic, not pulling off any stupid trades. Anthony Randolph is a real surprise, he's such a beast on the boards, and he really do reminds me of a younger lamar odom. I'm keeping Randolph, he's not getting traded anytime soon. I would like to trade Eddie Curry though, i find him to be useless. I could possibly trade him for another Center, but i couldn't find any decent deals on the trade finder. Take note that i also signed Larry Hughes to a 1 year minimum contract, i could use him.
Another player that impressed me was Ronnie Turiaf, i always watched him when he was with the Lakers, dude is entertaining on the bench. He's a great shot blocker, i could use him in the next few years. Pretty much all of the Knicks starting 5 is good, this team can be deadly in the future.
Oh, and in my association, Miami is killing everyone so far, Bosh, Wade, and Bron went for a combined 95+ points against some team. It was crazy.
Overall, i got this game today, it's REALLY good, it shocked me at how good this game is. It seems as if i can't get bored with it, a lot of different animations so you won't get bored of the same ole animations.
Back to my association, anyone have any tips on who i should trade Eddie Curry for? I want to clear up some space for the off season so i can sign a "decent" free agent, not going for someone like Carmelo.Comment

Re: How's Your Association Going? (2K11)
Just overcame a 13-point deficit to get a victory over the Bobcats..that team's defense is pretty scary. CP3 and David West carried the team on their backs..with CP3 getting the POTG with a three point play in the closing minutes of the game to keep us in it. It seems like every game I want to trade my wings but they always find a way to calm me down haha. We're 3-2 after wins against the Wiz and Bobcats.

Re: How's Your Association Going? (2K11)
The Miami Heat are going into a critical 3 game stretch to end their first season as the Three Kings. At 53-29 they are tied for first place in the Eastern Conference with the Atlanta Hawks.
So to recap the past week it has been a whirlwind. First the Heat went into a half empty Quicken Loans Cleveland arena (yep dynamic crowd attendance works everyone!) and ran the Cav's off the court blowing them out by 32 points. It was a major send off for Lebron and Wade as they each took turns displaying their skills. Wade ended the game with 41 points and Lebron recorded his 3rd triple double of the season with 25 points, 11 dimes and 12 boards. Then the Heat ran into a very pumped up Wizards team who had lost the previous 3 meetings. Well game 4 saw Rookie of the year canidate John Wall put on a show and lead the Wizards to an upset victory by 8 points. But even more critical was Dwayne Wade falling to a lower back injury that will keep him out at least a week but up to 2 weeks. This puts his status for the start of the post season up in the air. The second night of a back to back found the Heat playing the Timberwolves and another blow out was in store. Lebron James dominated from the opening tip along with Chris Bosh and Mike Miller. They ran the Wolves off the court with a big 24 point victory. Next up was the Nets who at the tip off of that game sat at the 7 seed (since they have fallen to the 9th seed as of 4/10/11). The Heat let the Nets know what they would face in taking them down by 12 points, again led by MVP hopeful Lebron James and Chris Bosh. The Heat then lost another player to injury the next day at a normal shoot around. D-League sensation Chris Jennings who was now getting 15 minutes a game and who was looking to even maybe get his first career start at home vs The Bucks, severly sprained his ankle and is out for 3-4 weeks. A huge letdown for the kid. He had cooled off considerably since his 3 game tear back in March, but he was part of the rotation and really developing into a fine swingman option.
The Heat then ran into a Bucks team that swept the season series (3-0) over the Heat with a resounding 18 point win at Miami. This team seems to have the Heats number so far and The Heat if they should slip to the 2nd seed would face the Bucks in the first round! Gilbert Arenas and Andrew Bogut scorched the Heat all night.
So now we come up to 2 critical games at home vs Boston and then on the road at Atlanta to maybe decide the number one seed. The Heat close the season at Toronto.
Dwayne Wade thinks he will be back for the first round of the post season, but Coach Spolstra will ease him back the first few games to make sure of no re-injury to his tender lower back. Speaking of bad backs Coach Spolstra has been starting Mike Miller for Wade but has been limiting his minutes to 20-22 a game to keep him healthy for the post season. Eddie House has been getting more PT in Wades absence as well.
The Heat play Boston tonight!Last edited by Armor and Sword; 12-27-2010, 02:38 PM.Now Playing on PS5:

Re: How's Your Association Going? (2K11)
Started with the sixers added two caps one at point other at center, after two games of getting blownout traded brand and speights for okafor and someone else. third game get blown out to indiana ...promptly tunes down to all star instead of superstar , change to button shoot and fieldgoal %. won next three games . I'm blowing teams out its a gradual blowout, but neverthe less it ends up being a 20-40 point blowout which is what i was getting blownout by when i was on superstar. Anyway having fun my cap point guard is fun to play with can't wait to get commentary on my team doing good.
