attributes yes...there's no such thing as tendencies on my player though

but creating a player from scratch on the main menu does allow me to edit tendencies and it allows me to have all the available post-moves, dunk packages, and other animations that i wasnt allowed to have on my player mode due to the stat cap or my playing position

say hello to shawn kemp's dunk package

i was a complete noob...i at first thought player lock was just the camera angle...and when i was using it i still controlled every player on the floor...only the camera focuses in on the person you're controlling at the time..so of course i was like what the hell is the point of all of this?

anyway...found out it was the setting you change from the controller menu or whatever and a 'holy moly im an idiot' moment ensued

Re: How's Your Association Going? (2K11)

I just had the best offseason Ive had in an association...
              Clippers 2011 Offseason:
DeAndre Jordan decided to test free agency as I was hoping to resign him.
Every other free agent I let go.

Entered the lottery with the 3rd worst record and wound up with the 1st pick in the draft. I wanted PG Josh Selby in the draft and he was only projected 11th. So I traded PG Eric Bledsoe, C Chris Kaman, and the 1st pick of th draft to the Kings for PF Jason Thompson, SF Omri Casspi, the 7th pick of the draft and a future 1st round pick.

The Bobcats swooped in and picked Selby 1 pick ahead of me at 6.
I drafted Brandon Knight and traded him and J. Thompson to the Bobcats for Selby.

In Free Agency I resigned DeAndre Jordan and went after Carmelo just for kicks. Ive done about 4 associations now and never got Melo so I didnt think that would change. Surprisingly, he signed! Stunned by the development of getting Melo I felt inclined to trade him to New York.
              I signed C Samuel Dalembert to the mid-level exception. 3yr 2mil

              Executed this three team trade:

Clippers get: SF Wilson Chandler, SG Wesley Matthews, PF Anthony Randolph, C Ronny Turiaf, 2nd rd pick(Trail Blazers)

Knicks get: SF Carmelo Anthony, SG Rudy Fernandez

Trail Blazers get: SF Al-Farouq Aminu, SG Randy Foye, C Samuel Dalembert, 1st rd pick(Knicks)

              Clippers 2011-2012 Lineup
              PG: B. Davis(OVR 75), J. Selby(69(Combo Guard TC)), W. Warren(62)
              SG: E. Gordon(82), W. Matthews(76)
              SF: W. Chandler(82), O. Casspi(67), R. Gomes(66)
              PF: B. Griffin(88), A. Randolph(73)
              C: D. Jordan(68), R. Turiaf(67)

The center position is probably my weakest link but I feel we are a very good rebounding and shot-blocking frontcourt. I love the depth on the wings and with Baron's expiring contract and the potential of Selby I think this team is definitely a contender! I also have 2 1st rd picks and 2 2nd round picks in next years draft.'

Just curious... whoever has Carmelo on New York in their assoc. what number did you give Melo since 15 is retired? His high school number, 22, is retired on NY too! I gave him 44..

I think in player lock association, when you tell them to shoot, they will shoot, and you get to manage your teams roster and stuff in player lock association

Long time since i last posted my chise...anyway, just started a 29-game season using the Warriors. Current standing is 12-4 which is good for the 2nd spot in the West.

                        My Lineup:
                        PG Steph Curry/Mo Williams
                        SG Monta Ellis/Richard Hamilton
                        SF Dorrell Wright/Reggie Williams
                        PF David Lee/Ekpe Udoh
                        C Drew Gooden/Kwame Brown

As you guys can see, i done alot of trades and so far we are doing pretty good. Monta has been a beast for me. while my bench thrives on Mo and Rip. Although im really lacking in the post and interior department as Lee is the only capable player from the inside.

                        Notable season injuries -
Ron Artest - out for season
Matt Barnes - out for season
Steve Blake - out for season
Kevin Garnett - out for season

The draft was a busy one with many teams trading up to acquire talent. Most notably were the Memphis Grizzlies moving the #9 pick and OJ Mayo to Minny for the #1 overall pick; Zach Randolph opted for free agency (landing in Sacremento), and the Grizz used the #1 selection to take the consensus #1 pick. The Grizz also signed vet Vince Carter to a one yr deal for the max MLE.

Perhaps the biggest move was a sign and trade involving the Bulls, Nuggets, and Pistons. Will post the details of that later on as they escape me atm, but it involves the Bulls getting Carmelo Anthony and Birdman.

I think the thing that worries me the most in my 30 team association is the Off Season. Mainly the trading. Is there any way to avoid having to make trades for every single team? Can't I just monitor the trading or something?

Re: How's Your Association Going? (2K11)

I have a problem getting bored of associations, but recently started one w/ the rockets and it's sweet. My first season I basically didn't want to change anything, and ended up with the second seed in the western conference. I lost eventually in a six game series to the lakers in the finals, and looked toward next year.I traded my 26th pick in the draft and an asssortment of players for their number one next year.

Changed very little the second season again, except for naming patterson a starter, because of our success the previous year, and again ended up w/ the second seed. Took my first round matchup against portland to seven games, them defeated the spurs in six, only to meet those damn lakers again. I was able to neutralize kobe for most of the series w/ battier, but Pau really stepped it up and patterson and scola couldn't stop him. martin floundered in the conf. championship again and i ended up losing by missing a step back jumper with brooks at the buzzer. the high point of the series was buddinger's output, putting up 17 a game.

Advanced to the offseason and the wizards pick turned out to be the first pick! Picked a shooting guard, 6'6 rated 82 overall, and later in the first round got a center to back up yao. Drafting the SG made k-mart dispensable and I packaged him and a second round pick for jeff green a second and some scrub. I'm gonna start green at SF with buddinger as an energy guy off the bench. Here's what my lineup heading into the 2012-13 season:

PG A. Brooks 82 OVR (Averaged a 21-7-3 last year)
SG C. Westbrook 82 OVR (1st pick of the draft)
SF J. Green 79 OVR (Moving him to his natural position)
PF P. Patterson 79 OVR (Progressing nicely, sent him to BigMan D camp)
C Y. Ming 83 OVR (I guess he has about 2 good years left in him)

6th K. Lowry 79 OVR (Good change of pace from brooks)
7th C. Buddinger 74 OVR (Slow white guy who can shoot)
                            Bench
                            Scola
                            Lee
                            New rookie center
                            Hill

I really want to win a championship with yao but if I don't I think the pieces are there for a yao-less championship. Suggestions or thoughts?

26-0 now with my Miami Heat in season two, might move up another difficulty level now but the problem is is they score over 100 every game on the next level, so I'll just have to tweak the sliders a little bit.
