Man Melo would be an ideal fit for me. Right now I have Terrence Williams starting at 3, and I don't even let him take jump shots. I think my PG is useless because I commit so many awful turnovers anyways.

[2-2 TOR year 2/All-Star/82gm/10min]
Wow this year started off with a bang, won the first against IND then lost 99-81 to CLE, and 103-61 @ MIA [couldn't hit a damn thing].
Injuries: Jamal Crawford 2-4 weeks bruised tailbone
A.Randolph 1-2 weeks sprained ankle
Bayless 1-2 weeks sprained wrist
At the moment I am pondering trading Bargnani to CHA for Tyrus Thomas. Reason being that I no longer want or need a 3pt shooting big. I may take 2 weeks to make a decision but i'll most likely pull the trigger, and i think CHA will accept b/c their only C is Kwame Brown, and a low rookie.
Barea's also letting me down, he's a good passer but he got punked by Wade and Mo Williams. I'll see if he redeem himself in the next 5 games.
PG Bayless(73rtg) | Barea(71rtg)
SG Derozan(72rtg) | Jamal Crawford(73rtg) | Weems(63rtg)
SF Battier(75rtg) | D.Greene(65rtg) | D.Kelly(rookie 63rtg)
PF Odom(77rtg) | A.Randolph(75rtg) | Amir(63rtg)
C Bargnani(78rtg) | A.Clancy(72rtg)Lakers | Michigan | DodgersComment

Re: How's Your Association Going? (2K11)
Anybody have any recommended settings or tips for someone playing an NBA association mode for the first time. My sport is usually Football but I can only torture myself with so much madden franchise mode. So any tips?Comment

Dirk Nowitzki always kills me. So what do I do...play good defense on him? Nope! Dirk played a total of 12 minutes before he fouled out. Whenever he was in, I attacked him while drawing fouls. He may have had 13 points in those 12 minutes, but imagine if he played his 35 minutes.
I won the game. Rudy Gay's first game back from injury; had 20 off the bench. Memphis 99 Dallas 88.

Re: How's Your Association Going? (2K11)
Decided to start an Association with the Blazers.
We done pretty good the first year, i believe we went over 50 wins, i simmed the first season, btw.
We went to the second round before losing to the Los Angeles Lakers who then lost to the Heat in the Finals.
One disappointment was that Marcus Camby decided to Retire, so that wasn't very pleasing, considering he was having a pretty good injury free year, which gave us such a good record.
I decided to let go of Rudy, i'm keeping Matthews because he's an overall better player than Rudy, i got rid of Elliot also. I resigned Batum, and resigned Oden to a pretty big contract. I signed this rookie auto - generated SF rookie to back up Batum, he should be good, he's an high flyer. I also signed Kenyon Martin to back up LA, who is going to have a good year. I decided not to resign Andre Miller, i felt he was getting a bit old, and i needed someone younger, so i signed Delonte West to a 3 year deal, and he's a starter on my team. I also resigned the back up PG for the Blazers, we're looking to go deeper into the playoffs, possible the WCF's, that's our goal for now. One weak spot in our team, is our back up C spot, we signed Turiaf, but he's a bit undersized, Oden is known to get injured a lot, so..we'll see how that goes.Comment

Re: How's Your Association Going? (2K11)
Nice signing's, I actually kinda like Turiaf. Only thing I don't like is Delonte, I would have gone ahead and let Patty start and get a backup for him. But sounds good so far man. Make sure you drop some updates along the way of the season.Comment

Re: How's Your Association Going? (2K11)
I did easily my best fantasy draft ever tonight - been meaning to try out a fantasy association for good this time, 58 games, playing probably 40 or so of them.
I like the Magic's colors so I chose them as my team, then used a random number generator to decide what pick I should be.
I got 6. Kind of lucky, but this is the team I drafted:
PG: Aaron Brooks/Jose Calderon
SG: Azibuke/JJ Reddick
SF: Kevin Durant/Josh Childress/Damion James
PF: Serge Ibaka/Kris Humphries
C: Kevin Love
Team was rated as a 91 overall and the #1 team in the league. Gonna try and gun straight for a championship.
Started off well as I beat the Steve Nash-led NO Hornets 101-91 in my opener. Love led the team with 26 points, and Ibaka contributed nicely, scoring 14 and grabbing 7 rebounds. Durant scored 24.
Really looking forward to using this team.Comment

Season #2: All 30 Teams Association / "Defending the Mavs Title"
Free Agents available of interest are: Kelenna Azubuike, CJ Miles, Reggie Williams, Peja, Mike Dunleavy, Anthony Parker (Waived by CLE), Sonny Weems, Vujacic, Marco Belinelli, and Willie Green.
Any suggestions on who you guys like to use from that list of availables?
So I choose a player that I didn't have listed above...Roger Mason.
He's a knockdown shooter and can defend on the perimeter. He has enough size to matchup one-one-one w/ some Small Forwards, so I feel comfortable running him at the 3 if need be. Bottom line though...he gives me another shooter which I desperately need and his D is an added bonus.Originally posted by Edmund BurkeAll that is needed for the triumph of evil, is for good men to do nothing.Comment

Re: How's Your Association Going? (2K11)
I would put Ibaka at center and let Love play PF. Ibaka is a much better post defender than Love, and Love could more easily score on PFs than centers. Or you could just put Ibaka on their best post player. I think your team could score a ton of points, but I dont see any defensive stoppers besides Ibaka, Childress, and maybe Humphries.Comment
