    Trade 2
Clips send Ryan Gomes and '11 2nd round pick to Sacramento for their 2012 2nd round pick.

During the season Cartier Martin was not happy with his play time and I needed some frontline depth. So:

Clips send Cartier Martin to Chicago for Kurt Thomas.

This puts us $9.44 Million under the cap.

Next season Kurt Thomas, Josh Howard, Ike Diogu, Jarron Butler and Rasual Butler all come off the books. I am looking at about $22 million in cap room next year and $54 million in hard cap space.

Although I may attempt to extend Josh Howard.

So far this season I am 3-6..

    Starting Lineup:
    PG- K.Hinrich (10.3 PPG, 6.1 APG, 4.8 RPG)
    SG-Eric Gordin (23.3 PPG, 1.2 APG, 4.2 RPG)
SF- Josh Howard (9.9 PPG, 1.0 APG, 4.3 RPG)
PF- Blake Griffin (21.2 PPG, 2.3 APG, 10.0 RPG)
    C- Chris Kaman (9.6 PPG, 1.1 APG, 7.8 RPG)

    Bench:
Eric Bledsoe (7.4 PPG, 4.3 APG, 2.3 RPG)
Craig Smith (6.3 PPG, 0.3 APG, 5.0 RPG)
Al Farouq Aminu (5.9 PPG, 4.1 RPG)
Kurt Thomas (2.1 PPG, 4.5 RPG)
    Randy Foye (1.8 PPG)
    Rasaul Butler (1.3 PPG)
    Ike Diogu
Blake is putting up some nice numbers. I love using him. I have dominated like no other when using Blake Griffin....although John Wall is starting to grow on me.

Re: How's Your Association Going? (2K11)

So I just picked up the game and decided to start an association. I played with a few teams, including the Clips, Warriors, and Kings. But I settled on the Magic. I'm going to play all 82 games, and as a stickler for accuracy and realism, I'm trying not to make too many trades, and I'm using the default rosters. I beat Washington pretty easily in my first game, but the Heat were another story. Big Z destroyed my team on the glass and was unstoppable from mid-range in the 1st half. Not to mention James was having his way with my D. The Heat had a huge run at the end of the 2nd quarter. I think I was down by 25. But Carter caught on fire for me, as he went 8 for 12 from downtown in the 2nd half. I think I even tied it up at a few points. But I couldn't overcome LBJ, he had 41 points and 6 assists.

I'm pretty sure I'm going to move Bass to the starting line-up, and make Peitrus the 6th man. He just isn't doing much offensively for me. And in the long run, I would like to move VC and Jason Williams for a big man, or two. Candidates include Antwan Jamison (because of his ability to shoot down low, something Dwight Howard can't do), or maybe even Jason Thompson and Sam Dalembert (JT for his potential shot making ability, and Dalembert because he can swat shots). I just feel like if Howard isn't down low, I can't stop the opposing team.

Re: How's Your Association Going? (2K11)

Been a long time since I posted in this thread. Started fresh with my Nets franchise since they just acquired Deron Williams.

I knew this season was lost, so I simmed, and the Magic won the championship in 6 games against the Thunder.

Going into the 11-12 season, my team looks like:

        DWill/Farmar/Uzoh
        JR Smith/Morrow/Jordan Hamilton
        Kirilenko(cuz of Prokhy)/Damion James/Jarvis Hayes
        Zach Randolph/Humphries/Jajuan Johnson
        Lopez/Chuck Hayes/Cole Aldrich

This team isn't quite a championship contender yet cuz of my big men. With development, my wings can be very good.

Also, I'll have 34 million in cap space to spend on Deron, Brook Lopez and others. I'm set to do a sign-and-trade involving Lopez and Howard.. if Howard does want to leave.

I did make two moves right before the trade deadline. I made a pact with myself to only use the trade finder for any trades. I traded Anthony Parker and Jamario Moon to Minnesota for Martell Webster and their 2011 2nd rounder. Then I traded Leon Powe and my 2012 2nd rounder to Golden State for Brandan Wright.

I got younger and more athletic with these moves. I have a bigger body with Wright down low swapping with Anderson Varejao and JJ Hickson. Also now I have a 6'8 scorer at SF who can hit 3's in Martell Webster. Both have worked out well until Webster broke his ankle last game and is out for the rest of the year.

As of now here are my scoring leaders.

          A.Jamison 17.9 PPG 7 RPG
          M.Williams 15.8 PPG 9.5 APG
          A.Varejao 13.4 PPG 7.3 RPG
          D.Gibson 10.8 PPG
          J.Hickson 9.1 PPG 7.9 RPG

I named and modified all draft prospects for the upcoming draft using info from a few websites and am looking forward to adding some pieces via the draft and free agency.

Good fun but frustrating losing so many games and usually by blowing leads and stupid turnovers!
Finished my season with the Cavs...10-19 bad enough for the 5th pick after they pulled the ping pong balls.

Ended up trying to trade up for the 2nd or 3rd pick but the top teams wanted too much. Finally I moved up one spot by swapping my #1 and one of my 4 second round picks I had. Good thing because I was able to land Derrick Williams from Arizona. I switched his position to SF from PF and he dropped 2pts(which he got back in training camp) but I want him as my tall 6'8 SF.

Later on I saw what was left in the second round and I swapped 2 more second rounders this year and one from next year for the Hornets 1st rounder next year so I have two #1's next year. then picked up Trey Tompkins PF from Georgia with my last 2nd round pick. I got a second rounder each for Joey Graham and Ryan Hollins earlier in the offseason.

Then, I tried to pick up some free agents but had no cap space since I kept pretty much everyone else including Mo Williams and Antawn Jamison who combine for $23 mil and I did re-sign Brandan Wright for 2 more years. As sad as the East is I can actually make the playoffs this year! 13-16 made it last year in the 8 spot.

After the free agent period was over and I was rejected for having no cap space, I did see I had a mid-level exception to use so I picked up Nick Young for my SG. So after all that here is my team now. Much younger, taller, better shooters and way more athletic. I have 5 players that are 70+ from 3pt range to make up for my weak post play.

I plan to unload Jamison by the trade deadline since its his last year and maybe M.Williams unless I am strong in the playoff hunt. Jamison for sure though because I have a good feeling about Derrick Williams.

          PG-Mo Williams-80
          SG-Nick Young-73
          SF-Martell Webster-74
          PF-JJ Hickson-76
          C-Anderson Verajao-78

          PG-Ramon Sessions-78
          PG-Daniel Gibson-65
          SG-Manny Harris- 67
          SF- Derrick Williams (R)-74
          SF/PF-Antawn Jamison-78
          PF-Samardo Samuels-64
          C-Brandan Wright 66

Re: How's Your Association Going? (2K11)

I started a 82 game season with the Grizzlies shortly after the opening night rosters were out on default pro. I've tried to keep the rosters as accurate as possible by updating the player ratings for my team when a new update comes out. I think it makes it more intersting for me.

Through 61 games (playing all games) I'm 40-21 and 2nd in the west behind LA. The last 12 or so games i've bumped it to All Star sim with some tweaking and they feal really nice. I'm about at .500 or a little above since i've bumped the level up.

Rudy Gay is just flat out the man. He's averaging 22 pts a game and if I need somebody in the clutch I give it to him.

I also created my self as a PG. However in the past 20 games or so i've limited my self to coming of the bench instead of starting to get a better feel for the team.

I really like the team but I'm worried about the 2 spot. I've been juggling Mayo (after he's back from his supension) Xiaver Henry and Tony Allen. But I really don't feel to confident in any of the 3. I prefer the jumper over pounding it inside but if i ever get shut down in the paint I might be in trouble.

I looked at what was out there before the trade deadline for a pure shooter but other teams wanted me to give up too much so i never made a move. We shall see come playoff time if this indeed haunts me.

This is the first NBA game i've owned since NBA Jam back on Super Nintendo and I must say i've never had so much fun in a Franchise/Association game mode in a long long time. It rivals the Madden 03-05 days back on the PS2 at least to me.

              Thunder/Lakers in the west.
              98 Bulls/Celtics in the east.

Pacers gave the Lakers a lot of trouble there.
Durant suffered a minor injury when closing out the Mavs.

                [0-2 HOU year 1/All-Star/82gm/10min]

I scrapped the SAC association and started yet again with HOU. I've had a terrible time with Martin's release so far, 1-16 from 3pt range. I'm not a fan of Miller or Jeffries but Yao's bound to go down [i turned his durability down all the way since he's injured in real life] so Miller will need to put in some minutes and Jeffries will expire at end of year. I've always been a big fan of Scola and like using him.

                PG Lowry | Dragic
                SG Martin | Lee
                SF T.Williams | Budinger | D.Carroll
                PF Scola | Patterson | J.Hill | Jeffries
                C Yao | B.Miller | Hayes | Thabeet
                Lakers | Michigan | Dodgers

This game would be waaay better if I knew how to really run an NBA offense! I am terribel. Got a association goin with the wizards and I lost my first game VS the magic 67-74. Wall went nasty with 35 points. Like I said though, I just plain suck at this game. I could even win vs the lakers with jordan when I first booted up the game! Although jordan is sick as junk in the game

made a few more trades. My new Thunder depth chart

PG - John Wall/Nolan Smith or Eric Maynor
SG - Nick Young/Kawhi Leonard (had to trade for my boy) or Nolan Smith. Depends on SF/PG situation
                    SF - Kevin Durant/Kawhi Leonard/Kyle Singler
                    PF - Kenyon Martin/Marcus Morris/Ryan Anderson
                    C - Serge Ibaka/Kendrick Perkins/Brad Miller

After a huge change for my team (nets) this is my lineup

PG: deron williams (92); jordan farmar (64)
SG: anthony morrow (65); wayne ellington (62)
SF: travis outlaw (69); sam young (65)
PF: jason tompson (71); craig brankins (63)
                          C: brook lopez (78); marcin gortat (69)

I like this team I have five good bench players that are all young and my starting rotation is all young, bad part is I have no draft picks I'm 2-9 so far on a 29 game season...id like it if you would rate my team vs the real life nets.

After all the trades i have around 34.34 for the 2011 offseason and have alot of players under contract so i can make a run at a good free agent or just wait for the 2012 free agent class.
