How's Your Association Going?

Nowhere,
I cannot WAIT until the patch comes through, so i can start my bucks association. I'm already eyeing up players for the off-season/deadline in jordan hill and austin daye. I cannot express how frustrating it is not being able to play assoication, i read this thread pretty much everyday/

Its the long term glitches, player development, no trades after 2 years, ridiculous home win advantages. I like to play 82 games for at least two years, so its worth the patience.

My Kings Association continues along.

Tyreke is having a monster year, averaging 30 pts a game, 5 assists. He was also the MVP of the All-Star game, dropping 40 and having 10 assists.

I dropped three straight around the All-Star Break though, running into a tough stretch, The Thunder, the Knicks and somebody else I can't remember just destroyed me. The Knicks just rolled me with Azabuke. I had NO answer for him.

I rebounded though, with a really road nice win AT orlando! Howard beasted and feasted on me (expectedly), but I came behind from a 12 pt deficit to win. It was just a great, great game that was probably one of the most fun video games I've ever played. Seriously, it was back and forth and everything was true to life, no weirdness to ruin the moment.

Loved it! I'm 15-8 on the season, 4th in the West.

Overblown. Association, as it is now, is great. I control all-30 teams of course , but its still fun. Home/road advantages are not as big as some are making them out to be, and I actually welcome the challenge/dynamic.

I've won on the road...just beat Orlando by like 7 or 9 pts. I lost to Miami by 7 on the road, but that was more/less due to them getting to the line 35 times (LBJ 12). As a team they shot worse than I did.

Player development I can't speak on, but one thing that does seem overdone is the ratings of prospects/rookies.

Started a new associated with the Brooklyn Beach Badboys. Simulated first season because I'd go 0-82 anyways. Stating 2nd season, now have a GREAT young 1-2 combo in Rondo and rookie SG Kenny Cross.

doesn't problems with ratings of rookies become irrelevant if you download a draft class?

Made a wizards association, trying to support the home town team. Made just one trade to get rid of arenas, and i ended up w/ al jefferson. so, my starting lineup is:

Wall
Hinrich
Howard
Blatche
Jefferson

6th:Thornton

Bench:

Young
And I forget everyone else

I played the first game, all star/sim, 12 mins, and got my butt kicked. Orlando just abused me w/ dwight howard, and when i finally put 2 on him, they dished it to one of their million shooters, and I lost 102-82. My top performers were Hinrich, with 18 pts, and 6 assists, and blatche with 24 pts and 14 rbs. I realy dontlike playing w/ wall. He's fast and all, but i can't seem to make a shot w/ him. I guess I'll just practice w/ him. Jefferson did not impress me in hi 1st start, but hey, who does against howard. anyone else not like playin w/ wall?

Lebron went down with a strained back a week before our Christmas day match-up with the Lakers. We went into LA and were down by 15 at one point in the first half. We fought and scratched and our bench came up huge with James Jones putting up 34 points!!! He was on fire all night. Wade was in the zone as well with 44 points. Bosh poured in 13 and pulled down 15 boards.

We were down by 2 with under 3 seconds left and the ball. Inbound went to the red hot Wade who launched a last second 3 for the win.....that clanked of the rim. 104-102 Lakers win. We have managed to win 3 out of 4 without Lebron and he is on the mend and should be back to 100% in another 5 days.

The Heat lead the Eastern Conference at 22-11. I am having a serious blast with this game and it just keeps getting better and better.

Chalmers has really taken off as a nice point guard. He has been averaging 8 assists a game for the month of December and has been draining his open shots (he is getting around 6-8 points a game). Big Z continues to be huge off the bench along with Miller. James Jones has thrived in the starters role at SF since Lebron went down...and will be a part of the rotation once Lebron get's back. Eddie House has also come on and contributed since Lebron's injury. I am finding this team to have plenty of weapons.

after that close game with protland I am straight murdering teams beat the lakers by 25, the hornets by 27, and the mavs by 22.

my all nba rookie sg had 37, 41, 21.

I traded for aldridge he had 23 in his debut which cost my sg some of his points. against hte mavs I had 3 players with 20+ points

Went through FA period and all I got was Shannon Brown. He's not even that good, but with my star rookie passing PG, Brown fits our style perfectly with very high dunk and vertical ratings for the pick and pop.

Well me and my spurs have been strucked by the corrupted bug. I was 8-2. Losing to the hornets and clippers as posted earlier. I'm not starting a new one anytime soon.
