Re: How's Your Association Going? (2K11)

Decided to bring back the Sonics(swapped 95 sonics roster and the raptors roster) since my nuggets franchise starting acting weird
Simmed the first year we went I think 11-71. I traded away my whole roster basically for Wesley Johnson, Eric Bledsoe and Hasheem Thabeet and about 8 other expiring contracts and some picks

I ended up with the 2nd overall pick and the 23rd which I used to pick Perry Jones and Tyler Honeycutt, and traded my 2nd round picks for the 28th pick and chose Tyshawn Taylor

Then in free agency I signed Nick Young, Deandre Jordan, Aaron Affalo Solomon Alabi, Austin Freeman and someone to fill up my roster.

We started out 4-0 with Perry Jones averaging 22.3 and 10 and Wesley averaging 25.5

Only trades I've done was move Kyrie Irving from the Hornets to the Lakers so that he could start right away cause he's to good to sit behind a young top 3 PG so i moved him to the team that has an aging superstar and he can take over that team in 2-3 years and him and Bynum will be the franchise cornerstones

2-2 so far in my 29 game knicks franchise..

Melo has been a boss out of the gate averaging 26.5 and 10 boards.

Chauncey has been rancid so far, but came through strong in my last game, going for 18-5-5,

Toney Douglas has been a bit time spark off of the bench..the dude can really snipe it.

        [25-9 PHO year 1/All-Star/82gm/10min]

Wow this Suns team is the funnest team i've experienced, so many knock down shooters especially Nash. Defense is another story though, giving up 105 while putting up 107. Currently in 2nd place in Pacific division behind the Kings who are always in front during the first third of the season.

Brooks is already rumbling even though i allocate the same minutes to him as Nash his agent says he would like a few more minutes, i hope i don't have to trade him come trade deadline. Childress is more unhappy than Brooks is, oh well don't really care about him.

        PG Nash | Brooks
        SG Carter | Dudley
SF Hill | Pietrus | Childress
        PF Warrick | Frye
        C Gortat | Lopez | Collins
        Lakers | Michigan | Dodgers

I just made the playoffs with like 12 games to go in 1st season in my Hawks Assoc. I play evety other game, except playoffs ofcourse. My current lineup looks like this:

Wall (big trade before trade deadline involving Bibby/Crawford, and draft picks)
          Johnson
          Williams
          Smith
          Horford

I love how games vary; top teams are either a struggle or go down to the wire, low tier teams I can consistently beat if shooting good and correctly. Recent games included a 3 OT win over Chicago, 15 point win over Detroit, 2 point loss to chicago, 8 point win over nets.

          Love this game!!!

Re: How's Your Association Going? (2K11)

With my Clippers at 10 and 10 going into the trade deadline, and having won the last 5, I wanted to make a couple of moves which would help the team in the postseason, should we get there.

Eric Gordon had been the odd man out so to speak this season, and although he was still averaging 14.8 PPG, this was a career low for him, and even though I enjoy using him, I wanted to trade for someone who would retain the ball better than Bledsoe at the PG position.

The Spurs came in for Gordon and my third-string Center in a straight swap for Tony Parker and one of their Centers. I didn't like the Centers deal so I negotiated a straight swap - Gordon for Parker.

Despite Gordon being a better player overall, Parker has 4 years left on his contract, and Gordon was in his last, so I reckon the deal's about even, because it isn't guaranteed that Gordon will re-sign with San Antonio, in which case I might try to get him back if Rudy Fernandez decides to become a free agent.

I accepted an offer for Craig Smith and a 2nd in exchange for Luc-Richard Mbah a Moute. This is good for me because Mbah a Moute is better defensively, and is amazing from 3-point range. The rest of his offensive game is limited, but he dropped 16 on the Nets in his first game, so maybe I can work with it. He's got good potential, and I had too many draft picks anyway, so a good deal all round really, however I will miss Smith in certain situations though.

First game since the trades was a fairly close affair against the Nets. Tony Parker fouled out in the 4th but still showed me some good things with 11pts/7asts. I tried to keep Bledsoe involved by occasionally swapping their guarding duties, and giving him some time at PG as well.

My problem will be next season really, because I may have to trade Wafer if Fernandez stays, simply because he's too good to be sat on the bench 35-40 mins a game. That way I can draft a rookie 2 guard in the second round and keep the cap down.

I'm hoping to make a run at the playoffs now after 6 wins in a row - exciting times!

Re: How's Your Association Going? (2K11)

Currently in the 2nd year of my 82 game Bobcats franchise.

I play every 5th game and sim the rest. Play games 1, 4, and 7 in the playoffs. Its a way to advance at a decent pace without playing a million games and keeping realistic 82-game stats.

I went into the playoffs as the 6th seed and won the championship against the Warriors in 7 the first year on All-Star. Thinking about moving up difficulty but my defense is abysmal at times and most games are already shootouts on All-Star.

              My current season 2 line-up:

              PG: Rodrigue Beaubois / Boykins
              SG: Steven Jackson / Henderson
SF: Aminu / Daye / Peja
              PF: Favors / Jordan Hill
C: Hasheem Thabeet / Brad Miller / Some rookie

Obviously I did a lot of trades but have improved the team a good bit. Augustine won Most Improved Player but I got tired of Tyrus Thomas and how he disappears in some games. Been having my eye on Favors (want him to actually play) so traded DJ and Tyrus for Favors with other randoms thrown in. Beabois got traded to the Pistons last season so I signed Reggie Williams and packed him with Dragic and a 1st for Beabois (with other randoms).

Thabeet is up to a 65 (used untapped potential on him) with 90 O/D rebounding. Been doing drills with him religiously.

Its been pretty fun so far but no matter how hard I try my defense still stinks!

9-7 with Milwaukee currently 4th in the east no trades yet and I will only make them if the cpu offers a good one that I like.

I think I may have made my CHI team too good on the defensive end.

                    My lineup is:

                    C: Noah
                    PF: Garnett
                    SF: Jeff Green
                    SG: Wes Matthews
                    PG: Rose

I'm playing 12 min qrts in the last 3 games the cpu has scored 68, 72 and 65 points while shooting less than 35% against me on default all star. Noah and Garnett just lock everyone down inside and Matthews and Rose are ball hawks on the perimeter. Currently riding a 5 game winning streak to a 8-3 record.

Im in a Knicks Franchise (old Roster) 82 Games/10min quaters, Allstar and no simming so far. Just have had the 60th Game of the season and im battling for a Playoffspot (6th place in the Conference). Amare seperated his shoulder and will be not able to play for about 2-4 weeks. What a shock. Hes current the league leader with 30.2 points per gm and im having no idea how to backup his scoring. Chandler is doing a very solid job every game so Fields does too but im afraid they cant close this gap. Turiaf is a beast when it comes to rebounding or blocking but hes only my 5th option to score. Damn im screwd big time

Swept the Celtics in the Eastern Conference Finals in some close and fun games, and the Lakers swept the Mavericks in four blowouts. I'm now in the NBA Finals leading 1-0 on the Lakers and I'm about to start game two. Should be fun.
