Re: The Official Rate My Trade Thread
Started a Cavs franchise, looking to rebuild. Made one big trade so far:
Thunder get: Antawn Jamison, Joey Graham, Leon Powe, 2012 1st round pick
Cavs get: Serge Ibaka, Morris Peterson, Nenad Kristic
Main reasons for this trade for me was to get rid of cap and I wanted Ibaka. Thoughts? Suggestions?
Also, should I do one of these trades? ( Main purpose is to free up cap space) Any others in mind?
Mo Williams, Anderson Varejao, and 2011 2nd round pick for Greg Oden and Joel Pryzbilla.
Mo Williams and Anderson Varejao for Troy Murphy and Damion James.
Mo Williams and Anderson Varejao for Rodrigue Beaubois and Tyson Chandler.
Mo Williams and Anderson Varejao for Michael Redd and Chris Douglas-RobertsLast edited by knicksfan8; 12-29-2010, 09:27 PM.Comment

Re: The Official Rate My Trade Thread
Took someone's advice. In my 30 team Association, Richard Jefferson went down for the year 6 games in.
Spurs get:
G/F Tracy McGrady
F/C Chris Wilcox
Pistons get:
F/C Matt Bonner
The Spurs need a wingplayer and McGrady (nor Wilcox) were playing in Detroit. Wilcox was getting more frustrated than McGrady.Purdue Boilermakers

but so far i trade antwan jamison and jawad williams for azibuike and curry then i traded joey graham and eyenga for chris duhon. Duhon is out performing Mo so im trying to trade him for good value and i might do the oden or chandler trade thanks for the idea lolComment

Re: The Official Rate My Trade Thread
I'm using the Bulls and have Jordan, Pippen, Rodman, and Armstrong from the 92 team on my roster. Noah went down and I needed a big man so I used the trade finder with Rodman being the main part of the trade. I was offered Bynum and a 2012 2nd round pick for Rodman and Armstrong. I thought it was a okay deal.“Those who would give up essential liberty to purchase a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety.”

Re: The Official Rate My Trade Thread
This is weird, let me start with my starting lineup...
pg. Miller - 74
sg. Roy - 93
sf. G. Wallace - 86
pf. J. Smith - 86
c. Hibbert - 78
I'm in the middle of the '11 - '12 season and the Lakers offered me Kobe for Roy and my first round rookie pg (rating - 69, potential 93). I haven't accepted it yet, and I know it's unrealistic and some will jump at it, but Kobe (as good as he'll continue to stay) is aging. I really want to keep Roy until he retires but this is tempting. My rookie pg has a positive upside with comparisons to JKidd before I drafted him so he'd be a big loss in the next 2 years considering Miller decides to stick around.
Suggestions?
Note: I traded for Wallace before the start of my first season, and acquired Smith for Oden and Aldridge before the trade deadline. As of right now, Oden although healthy is only averaging 6ppg with 6rpg., Aldridge is averaging 17ppg and 8rpg both are still with the Hawks.
Smith is getting better as a big-man, but I originally wanted him because he had a better upside defensively than Aldrige who's averaging 1.8bpg......we held several meetings to discuss the future of the franchise. After going through those meetings, it became very clear that the vision I had for the game was different from where the leadership wanted to take it. I parted ways with EA shortly after...Comment

Re: The Official Rate My Trade Thread
I wouldn't do it. there's not a huge drop-off from Kobe to Roy, and Miller will almost assuredly retire after your current season (he retired after my first season).Comment

Re: The Official Rate My Trade Thread
I made a few trades and they looked good at the time. What do you guys think? I'm the Cavs to let you guys know.
Trade 1:
Me: Mo Williams, Antawn Jamison, Ramon Sessions, 2012 1st round pick
Nets: Devin Harris, Troy Murphy, Jordon Farmar, Travis Outlaw
Trade 2:
Me: Anthony Parker, 2011 1st round pick, Ryan Hollins
Knicks: Kelenna Azubuike, Shawne Williams
Trade 3:
Me: Jawad Williams
Clippers: Jarron Collins
Trade 4:
Me: Troy Murphy, JJ Hickson, Christian Eyenga
Nuggets: Nene, Shelden Williams, Arron Affalo
Heres my starting lineup after the trades. The only original player in the lineup that wasn't traded is Powe.
PG: Devin Harris
SG: Arron Affalo
SF: Travis Outlaw
PF: Leon Powe
C: Nene
I got Nene and Azubuike because I had them in my 2k10 association and played pretty good with them. Trade 3 was a mistake I somehow selected the wrong player and didn't pay attention and they accepted the trade right away.Comment
