Re: Attention to Detail in NBA's Greatest Mode

Awesome post man. The signature animations are a must for me for this mode. Magic should definitely have his big smile animation, and if they take as much care and attention to detail as they did with Jordan in 2K11, then hopefully all the legends will get signature animations.

      Thanks guys!

Here come the signature moves and traits for more players and teams:

One of my favorite players of all time, even though I never watched him play when he was alive. The NBA's first virtuoso...

      "Pistol" Pete Maravich

Jordan in 1998 wore pretty short shorts and shorter socks as illustrated in these pics.

From these pics it looks like Mike is wearing low socks but the 13s were pretty hi

          1998

Also I'm really hoping Dennis Rodman (the hall of famer) is given his due in terms of signature animations. In 2k11 his reactions were pretty generic in my experience. Other players in the game have signature animations like Jordan and Kobe's gum chewing or Jordan's after dunk reaction like when he dunked on Alonzo in 1993. It would be awesome if Dennis Rodman celebrated by fist pumping and jumping up and down after scoring a basket. He was known for this really. Or more hard foul animations for Dennis where he holds his hands up afterwards like he did not do anything. I know these animations are possible in the game, and I hope 2K implements them to do "The Worm" justice.

Thanks so much my friend for posting that video. That illustrates well what I'm talking about with signature animations for Dennis that could capture his signature personality and antics. That's wht made Dennis, Dennis.

Re: Attention to Detail in NBA's Greatest Mode

Hope these players appearances and looks are fixed from their 2K11 version, and done correctly for the new ones:

                Danny Ainge:

                6'5"
                Blue Eyes

His Trail Blazers version should be different than his Celtics version, with shorter hair. The guy is pink like a pig. His skin tone should be fixed and he should have a little hair on his arms and legs.

Jerome Kersey needs a better face and darker skin tone:

                John Stockton (overall face improvement):

Amber Eyes. Hair on chest, arms and legs. Tighter jersey fit and shorter shorts.

                Mark Price:

                Blue/grey eyes

Larry Nance could use a revamp too:

BJ Armstrong (his head shape isn't cubed ):

Traits> 3-point specialist (Best % in 1992-93), pullup jumper, dribble penetration, spot up shooting

Shawn Kemp (needs an improved non-fat face):

John Paxson could use a revamp too:

Blue eyes. A little hair on his arms and legs.
Traits> Pull-up jumper, spot up shooting, Clutch shooting, tactical passing.

                Patrick Ewing:

He should have the face and hairstyle he had in 1995 and not 2000. This picture is from the 1995 Eastern Conference Semifinals vs the Pacers.

A.C. Green: His 1991 version should have a flat-top hairstyle and not the mini 'fro he had in the 80's.

Traits>hustle, rebounding, tactical awareness, stamina and durability.

                Elden Campbell:

                6'11" F/C

Signature reverse quick hang dunk, good leaper, putback dunks
                Flat-top hairstyle.

                Drazen Petrovic:

                6'5" 1/2 Shooting Guard
Amber eyes. A little hair in the arms an legs.

Traits> Pull-up jumper, upper ball fake before taking a shot, step-back jumper, Eurostep, Clutch shooter, passing.

                Rodney McCray:

                6'8" 1/2 SF/PF

                Traits> Utility man, tactical passer.

                Kurt Rambis.

                6'9" PF

Blue Eyes. Hair on chest, legs and arms.

                Traits> Utility man, hustling, rebounding.

Black framed glasses with team colored croakies.

                Chuck Person:

                6'8" SF

Traits> Shooter, pullup jumper. Clutch shooter.

He should have a little hair on on his head and face (not fully shaven)

                Mahmoud Abdul-Rauf:

                6'0" PG
Traits> Shooting, ball handle, dribble drive, passing, good leaper.

                Dikembe Mutombo:

Flat-top hairstyle. Thin with long arms.

Outstanding job as usual Aloncho !

                  P.S:
Would also like to see 2k capture Rodmans running style ... his knees would go well above the waist when running and his back a little leaned to the back ... it often made me laugh.

Dennis Rodman would need 1000 animations just for himself.

I remember him clapping with his hands a lot after good hustle plays, or good calls made by the referees.

Back when he was a Piston, refs didn't gave him a Technical foul for doing that.

Also there needs to be a Jordan calf sleeve that is available as a knee pad. Jordan wore this in 1989 as well as Horace Grant both with the Bulls and later the Magic.

During the last few games of the 1992-93 regular season, and throughout the playoffs up to game 3 of the finals. Michael Jordan used a black wrist brace on his right hand. He played nearly all the 1993 playoffs with a sore wrist.

The addition of this accessory would be cool too.
