Re: Attention to Detail in NBA's Greatest Mode
I hope defenders can hand check offensive players, now that I now that some old rules like no 3 pointers, jump balls to start every quarter, different time on the shot clock are in.Only respectable people deserve respect, you destroyed the game.Comment

Re: Attention to Detail in NBA's Greatest Mode
Get them right!
Hope these players appearances and looks are fixed from their 2K11 version, and done correctly for the new ones:
Danny Ainge:
6'5"
Blue Eyes
His Trail Blazers version should be different than his Celtics version, with shorter hair. The guy is pink like a pig. His skin tone should be fixed and he should have a little hair on his arms and legs.
Jerome Kersey needs a better face and darker skin tone:
John Stockton (overall face improvement):
Amber Eyes. Hair on chest, arms and legs. Tighter jersey fit and shorter shorts.
Mark Price:
Blue/grey eyes
Larry Nance could use a revamp too:
Shawn Kemp (needs an improved non-fat face):
John Paxson could use a revamp too:
Blue eyes. A little hair on his arms and legs.
Traits> Pull-up jumper, spot up shooting, Clutch shooting, tactical passing.
Patrick Ewing:
He should have the face and hairstyle he had in 1995 and not 2000. This picture is from the 1995 Eastern Conference Semifinals vs the Pacers.
A.C. Green: His 1991 version should have a flat-top hairstyle and not the mini 'fro he had in the 80's.
Traits>hustle, rebounding, tactical awareness, stamina and durability.
Elden Campbell:
6'11" F/C
Signature reverse quick hang dunk, good leaper, putback dunks
Flat-top hairstyle.
Drazen Petrovic:
6'5" 1/2 Shooting Guard
Amber eyes. A little hair in the arms an legs.
Traits> Pull-up jumper, upper ball fake before taking a shot, step-back jumper, Eurostep, Clutch shooter, passing.
Rodney McCray:
6'8" 1/2 SF/PF
Traits> Utility man, tactical passer.
Kurt Rambis.
6'9" PF
Blue Eyes. Hair on chest, legs and arms.
Traits> Utility man, hustling, rebounding.
Black framed glasses with team colored croakies.
Chuck Person:
6'8" SF
Traits> Shooter, pullup jumper. Clutch shooter.
He should have a little hair on on his head and face (not fully shaven)
Mahmoud Abdul-Rauf:
6'0" PG
Traits> Shooting, ball handle, dribble drive, passing, good leaper.
Dikembe Mutombo:
Flat-top hairstyle. Thin with long arms.

Re: Attention to Detail in NBA's Greatest Mode
I wish 2K would let us edit facial features like hair because if I play a season with the '92-'93 Bulls which I probably will, I'd like to give Jordan that goatee he had for a little while during that season.
And isn't MJ supposed to have a black wrist band for that season? In the starting lineup picture he has a red one on, but I thought for that season he started going with the black one for the most part for home and away games.Last edited by jd@os; 08-29-2011, 11:28 AM.Comment

Re: Attention to Detail in NBA's Greatest Mode
MJ wore the black elbow band from the start of the 1991 Eastern Conference Semifinals up to 1996-97, were he wore a black elbow band for home and a red one for away games. He then switched back to all black during the last games of the 1998 Eastern Conference Finals.Only respectable people deserve respect, you destroyed the game.Comment

Re: Attention to Detail in NBA's Greatest Mode
Aloncho--
I know 2K can match-up the 89 Bulls vs the 93 Hornets in their video(s) and it NOT be a mistake, but I'm getting a little worried here...
...it keeps on looking like the '93 Bulls have the heavy gloss number / name jerseys--in the "Greatest" video and by MJ's jersey in the starting line-up screen. At first I was thinking they are just showing the 89 Bulls when I saw the video, but since I saw the lineup screen and watched the video again, I'm thinking that maybe they didn't give the 93 Bulls the sewn-on name and number jerseys. I really hope I'm wrong.Comment

They also took away the white outline from the Bulls logo had on their home shorts:
1991-92
1992-93 and onwards
I'm not expecting too much from 2K at this point, so who knows?
They gave the 1992 Blazers unis a red waist band last year so...Only respectable people deserve respect, you destroyed the game.Comment

Re: Attention to Detail in NBA's Greatest Mode
Looking at a lot of these old basketball cards brings back so many memories. I still have some in my attic. Particularly those early 90s UD cards. Those were nice looking cards. Will have to dig those up and see what remains of that collection. This thread has a lot of great info. Just hope they pay a little more care to the blazers squad. Not enough TLC in '11. Kersey looked atrocious.Playing:
