Re: Attention to Detail in NBA's Greatest Mode

Just want to say that this thread is incredible, it definitely brings back a lot of memories. This is honestly a great resource for 2K and I hope they are using this stuff. I can't wait to see the final product on October 4

Re: Attention to Detail in NBA's Greatest Mode

A couple of players and their respective accessories from the 1993-94 Houston Rockets.

      Hakeem Olajuwon:

Right double wrist band (white), left wristband (white), left elbow brace (red), small red pads on both knees, the 2K12 Dirk Nowitzki length socks (in between short and medium)

      Vernon Maxwell:

very short socks (like the 2K12 C.Butler socks) Wrist tape in his left hand, mostly white, but also red sometimes. This would be a very nice addition to the game too.

      6'4" SG

Traits> 3 point Specialist, attempts a lot of 3 point shots, good defensive guard who could guard the PG/SG and SF positions, dribble drive, pull-up jumper, passer, good speed and strength. Clutch shooter.

Used to raise up both hands straight up while running backwards after hitting an important long range or 3 point shot.

Only respectable people deserve respect, you destroyed the game.

Wow, A gem mint 10 PSA graded John Salley Miami Heat card. That must worth upwards of 50 cents, lol.

No Laimbeer Traits? (I know this is hard from a Bulls fan)

                Cool stuff though.

No at all. I was just trying to write up the traits of players that are either new or were off last year. That is in my opinion of course. The 2K11 team did a good job on Laimbeer (except for the color of his eyes), Thomas, Rodman, Dumars and Edwards last year

Got it, makes perfect sense. But the 2k team does need to have Laimbeer have his jump shot and free throw routines in this year. As he did have a very unique one for each, and none in 2k11.

^^ Should have had this song included on the soundtrack. I'm not a big fan of sports games soundtracks, but if you create a video game with so many classic teams, the soundtrack should have consisted songs from those years/eras/atmosphere.

i noticed in one of the screenshots with dikembe the old nuggets road uniforms are WAY to light of a blue. they were really dark navy and almost looked black on tv. i hope they get that fixed.

From the Legends video I hope 2K sports makes the appropriate corrections to players:

                              - 1991 Mitch Richmond has his head shaven like in 1995.

                              He should look like this:

-Danny Ainge has his 1986 look in the 1991 Blazers.

                              He should look like this:

-Penny Hardaway has his 36 year old face.

                              He should look like this:

Dikembe Mutombo has an older looking face.

He should look like this: (flat-top hairstyle)

-Patrick Ewing has his old face too

                              He should look like this:

-Scottie Pippen shouldn't have a high flat-top in his 1989 version.

                              He should look like this:

-Horace Grant should have no goggles in his 1989 version.

                              He should look like this:

-Horace Grant has the wrong goggles in the Magic

They should look like this: (shaved head also for Horace)

-The Warriors are wearing 80's shorts

                              It seems odd to me:

-The 80's and 90's Lakers accessories are purple.

They should look like this: (Blue. Compression shorts too)

I've been thinking the exact same thing. I still have my Nuggets Jalen Rose rookie jersey and it's a lot darker than what game has from what I've seen. They only had the home jerseys in the trailer and the blue on the numbers look closer to what it should be so hopefully that is fixed.

Still not dark enough but looks a little closer
