Yeah I hear you, these are all things I have done (play calling off and jumper is almost a 90). And things I'm trying todo like play good all around team basketball. I guess my guy is just struggling idk lol it's just weird cuz a B was easy to obtain when my guy was rated below a 70. I have him at a 74 right now and its harder. I signed on with a new team in the offseason as my rookie contract ended so maybe a change of scenery will help. In my first game with the new squad now. -
Re: Official NBA 2K12 My Player Thread
I play with the Playcalling on.
For my PF, I still get around 16-25 shot attempts.
For my PG, I get around 10-17 attempts.
Sure, I dont score as much and dont get the ball where I want it at times. But, I dont want to HAVE to shoot over 22 unless I have to
PG is different because the only thing I would probably do is PNR with Griffin or pass it to a wingComment

Kind of new to the game, so was wondering about two things.
1. How do you box out?
2. How do you fight against being boxed out?Comment

Re: Official NBA 2K12 My Player Thread
A question about making a new My Player
I currently have one, but I'm thinking of restarting over now that I'm much more familiar with the game mechanics of 2K12.
If I do start up a new My Player, is there any way to use the My Player I've already created?
Because I put a ton of time in creating his looks, size, and especially his face. I don't want to go through all that again. I'm also not sure I'll get the new one to look like my current one and I really like the look of my current My Player.
Damn man.
How about at least a way to copy the one you've created before? Sorta like using a template.Comment

get steals and blocks assist will be hard because like you said teammates can barely shoot and get blocked to hellHand Down,Man DownComment

i think you can do that but i think you can only do it before the showcase and after your first game unless you save and quit the game under a new oneHand Down,Man DownComment

left trigger keep your eye on them the entire time because they can throw you to the side and spin off you
fighting out i guess rotate the shot stick but you probably wont get themHand Down,Man DownComment

Re: Official NBA 2K12 My Player Thread
Well I had a decent first game as a Warrior but once they took me out after half time(47-46 LAL) it was all down hill from there with us losing 99-79.

Re: Official NBA 2K12 My Player Thread
Is anyone having this problem?
My team (CHA) always get the 2nd pick in the first round, while the 76ers get the 1st. It seems like it goes in order by the team name.
Even though we were 1st in the entire league last year(69-13). We didn't trade anyone last year too. Shouldn't that set us for the 30th pick? I find this confusing.Last edited by xIcee; 01-06-2012, 11:13 PM.Comment

Re: Official NBA 2K12 My Player Thread
I find it amusing that some of you are having a hard time getting A's. I really, really stink at this game (hence the 7'5" center I play) and I am averaging an A- with 14 games left in the season.
Best advice I can give is Box out, box out, box out, and set screens, set screens, set screens.
Also, unless your steal rating is 90+, don't even bother, it hurts worse when you get a bad one then when you actually steal.
Good transition D/Off also gives good boosts, as well as scores off steals/blocks, scores off screens you set.
Pretty much you don't have to score a point to get an A+, just play good fundamental basketball.Comment

I was on 76ers. we had one of the worst records, but should have been in 3-6, not #1. I could have stayed there and be on a loaded team in a few years. But, I didnt want to do it that way. Plus they already had a good PG and drafted a PG with the #1 OVR pick, it was too crowded there.
Clippers will be #7 every year, but guys outside top 5 dont really provide much. That is my problem. You dont see rookies outside top-10 really do much in the 1st couple of years.I want to see booms and bustsComment

Re: Official NBA 2K12 My Player Thread
Easy way to get steals is to try to steal Post Passes. The Wing/Guard usually throws the pass high. So when you see a big posting up, play off the guard/wing and back up and try to swipe it in the air. But, make sure you recover if it is a 3pt shooter
I have problems at times because I try to cherrypick(not gonna lie). If I deflect the ball or see a rebound, IM OUT at times. Instead of trying to get the ball, I try to get a easy bucket, since I have a high Shoot in TrafficLast edited by illwill10; 01-06-2012, 11:35 PM.Comment

Re: Official NBA 2K12 My Player Thread
Sixers still on a roll after my coming back from injury, 7 and 1 since with the loss coming to Miami 63-56.
Just played an awsome game against the Knicks in Philly, 73-69 and it was a fight all the way through.
27 pts, 10 boards, 2 assists, and 7 blocks in 26 minutes. 10-13 from the field and 7-8 from the line...One of my best defensive games of the year.
If the Playoffs started today:
