Okay, so I made me a scoring PG/SG, did a decent job (not great as I wanted to) at the rookie showcase, got to the interviews, the suns interviewed me. I was asked about replacing Steve Nash when he retired, which got me excited to do the whole rebuilding thing around me, and thinking that I was going to back up Nash. I actually get drafted by the Suns, third on the PG depth chart. a few Key Games later, we play the Lakers for the second time, I shine, scoring 40 points, going 10 for 10 from deep (I always seem to shine against my favorite player (Kobe) for some reason), next thing I know, I go to the next key game, and half of my team is different. the entire starting line up, including the person who I'm supposed to be getting taught by, is gone, and in comes all new guys. Aaron Brooks took the starting PG spot, and I'm pissed. I didn't like being on the floor with Brooks before cause he hogs the ball and the only team that wants me is the Knicks (another team that interviewed me). My question is, does my success effect the decision of the GM? Because they went and traded for Zack Randolph, Rip Hamilton, and other guys when I liked the team that they had.

Re: Official NBA 2K12 My Player Thread
Ive had to start my player over twice now, because it somehow keeps becoming corrupted. Has anybody else experienced this problem? I dont think its my system because all my other saves have worked perfectly just that one is giving me issues. Hope somebody can help me out.Comment

Re: Official NBA 2K12 My Player Thread
Can you expand on this? What do you mean? Do you mean like "Shot Close" or "Shot Medium"? Or is there a way to make my player a master in, say, hook versus fadeaway? I don't recall seeing that (but I'm brand new to 2k basketball in general, so wouldn't be surprised if I just missed it).Comment

Re: Official NBA 2K12 My Player Thread
Does anyone know what attributes you get for going to each camp?
How often are the key games if you play on them? I have been playing every game due to fear of missing most of the season if I choose the other option.
Are there any attributes that are a must / bust in your opinion for a center?
I am curious to what the hustle stat adds as well as the emotion? Can anyone help with either of these two?Comment

Does anyone know of age plays a role in getting to the hall of fame? Like are you forced to retire at a certain age regardless of HoF progress? I just realized I made a 26 yr old rookie. I should be about in my prime at that age.
I'd rather restart now than later on down the road.Comment

Warning, these are very expensive to upgrade. They cost around 16,000 to upgrade if you have an Average in that area.Comment

Re: Official NBA 2K12 My Player Thread
Right under "Attributes" there is a thing called "Abilities" when you go to increase your MyPlayer's rating. In the Ability section it gives you something like "Poor, Average, Good, or Great". If you made a Back to the Basket type of C/PF you should have an "Average" in everything related to Post Offense. You do have specific abilities such as "Hooks, Fadeaways, Post spin" and stuff like that. That's what he meant by making one of those your go to move.

Re: Official NBA 2K12 My Player Thread
Not sure if they changed anything from 2k11, but vert is still king. Get that in the high 80's+ and rebounding is easy. Good way to improve your grade when the rest of your attributes are low.
8 games in, have it to 80 right now, and I'm grabbing 5-8+ boards a game off the bench with my 6-7 shooting guard. Although, I sag of my guy so I can grab boards. Bites me in the *** sometimes. Played the Bucks and SJax dropped 45 on us...
My dude is on the 76ers and we blow. I don't understand why I leave the game within 3 points of the other team, come back the next quarter and we are down by 22 -- every game. This is a playoff team, ffs. 1-7 right now, and I swear I had nothing to do with it. Maybe just a little, but only getting 15 minutes a game right now.
My best game of the season to this point. 15 points, 8 rebounds, 7 assist, 2 steals in 18 minutes, and we still lost by 26.
FYI, Hawes is a ****ing bum. Should have went to a team with an actual center.Comment

Re: Official NBA 2K12 My Player Thread
Got drafted 11th by the Utah Jazz. Had a pretty good showing at the Rookie Showcase dropping 26 points and 7 dimes. My guy is at 63 overall right now. On the season we are 3-0 and I have been getting some pretty good minutes behind Harris and Bell. On the season I am averaging 16 pts, 4 assists, 3 rebs, 2 steals.
Up next we have the Miami Heat. I am looking to do my blog on My Player here soon.Comment
