I have a question. Does your coach ever take you out of the game? I've started noticing that I basically play the entire game. My coach never takes me out even if we are winning by 30 in the 4th. I play on 10 minute quarters and 10 minute simulate quarters. I checked my minutes and I play 40 minutes. I play more minutes than the best player on my team, which is Kobe and he only plays 35. SMH. He only good thing about playing 40 minutes is your stats will increase but that's it. -

Re: Official NBA 2K12 My Player Thread
I ran into a problem with PlayVision... Under the regular game settings from the My Player menu, I have PlayVisoion set to Lite, but when I'm in a game, I check the Presentation Settings nd PlayVision is set to Full. I change it to Lite nd choose to save when the game is over, but every time I get into another game, it's back to Full.
But, in the game settings from the My Player menu, it still says Lite.
Am I the only one with this problem? Is there a way to fix this? It's kind of annoying to go into Presentation Settings every time before each game.Comment

Re: Official NBA 2K12 My Player Thread
I read the other day that if you intentionally sell off some of your stamina skill points, you'll get less minutes. I'll test it tonight."You honestly don't really feel it when the shots are going down. You don't ever get the goose bumps until the fans start to appreciate what you're doing."

The only way to regulate the minutes is to foul... what I do if I want the AI to take me out during the quarter is to do silly reach-in fouls ... so for example: in my last game vs Detroit, after the 2nd quarter, we were +36 ... so I used the reach-in fouls to have the AI take me out in the third... It will usually take you out if you have one more foul then the quarter. (ie 2 fouls in the 1st quarter, 3 fouls in the 2nd quarter, etc.)
2K should limit the max minutes to 36 instead of 41 - or better yet make a slider that allows you to change it if desired.Comment

Re: Official NBA 2K12 My Player Thread
My Player
Abe Carpenter [not my real name btw]
Position:SG
Play Type:3-point Spec
Modeled After:Lebron James/Oscar Robertson
Jersey Number:5
Draft:1st Round, 25th Pick[Drafted by the Dallas Mavericks]
Rookie Showcase: 37 Points, 10 Rebounds, 3 Blocks, 55%FG
Set Difficulty:All-Star
Game Type:Simulation
Minutes:12
Interview: *Turned Down The Pistons, Golden State, and Bucks
*I didn't want to play for any bad teams anymore. It got really old carrying them on my back.
Our first three games in our schedule looks really difficult. We have the Bulls, then San Antonio, and finally OKC. If we win 2 out of those 3, I'll be very happy.
Bulls Game: 92-91 [Lost]
I have no idea how we lost. I was subbed out in the last 5 minutes of the fourth where we were up by 5, and when I simmed it, we lost.
Minutes:16
Points:18
Rebounds:7
Assists:2
Steals:3
Blocks:1
Highlight: A chase down block on Derrick Rose (he was going up for a dunk)
My field Goal percentage was trash. A measly 36% with 9/20 shooting. Most of it was because I couldn't finish hardly any layups, despite it being a solid 70. I plan on using my skill points to upgrade it so I can be a better finisher at the rim.
Spurs Game: 95-90 [Lost]
Minutes:16
Points:10
Rebounds:1
Assists:3
Steals:1
Highlight:A Three-Pointer two-three feet past the arc.
Just a disappointing lost overall. I had no minutes in the 4th and we just couldn't win. My shots, again, weren't just falling. My Field Goal percentage was horrible, hitting only 4 shots on maybe 12-15 attempts. Next up is OKC. God help us....
OKC Game:101-91 [Lost]
Minutes:19
Points:31
Rebounds:2
Assists:2
Steals:1
Blocks:1
Highlight:Scored 20 points in the last six and a half minutes of the 1st quarter.
Don't let my points fool you, half of them came from the FT line, where I shot 100%. I had a horrible FG% again, shooting 9/25. But, the thing is, every time I'm subbed in, it's like my teammates just want to stand there and do nothing. I try to move around and generate some assists but, again, their positioning is always horrible. But, thankfully, this was the last tough game, and it's a lot easier from here on out. It is possible for us to win our next 5 games since we're up against teams who are under .500.Last edited by HisAirness; 04-21-2012, 08:52 PM.Comment

Re: Official NBA 2K12 My Player Thread
So, I've been searching this thread for any tips on how to get assists, but I can't find anything recent. o:
I usually play as a center, so I don't really need to get any assists. However, today I created a PG, a 3pt Specialist. And in the rookie showcase, these were my stats:
M. Rieb - 17 pts. 3 ast. 4 reb. 6 stl. 2 blks.
For the life of me, I could not figure out how to get my assists up. I'd give my teammates some good passes, and I'd even hit square to 'tell them to shoot' but they'll never shoot them.
I don't think I use the pick and roll properly either, as it doesn't work that often for me. I'm just wondering if there's a way I can get more assists. Or even call plays for that matter. If I hit the right arrow on the d-pad, all it gives me is like five little options that aren't even plays. So idk.NBA - CHICAGO BULLS

Re: Official NBA 2K12 My Player Thread
Just played the most exciting game(and series) I have ever played in My Player, My Pacers went to game 7 against the Thunder and we won because I hit a buzzer beater as we were tied 95-95. We traded wins as the series went 1-0, 1-1, 2-1, 2-2, 3-2, 3-3, then we won 4-3 so there was not a winning streak at all in the finals but there were 3 blowouts. We blew the out the Thunder once home, once away, we blew them out on the road by 47 and while we were home by 61. They blew us out while we were on the road by 40. My PG truly is clutch. On the season I averaged .4 blocks per game but in the playoffs I averaged 1.9 and in the Finals I had 2 games with 5+ blocks. In thee Finals I also had 1 triple double and 1 quadruple double. In the playoffs I averaged a triple double also. I have about 12 contracts to choose from and all of them are about 11.5mil+ and I want a change of scenery but this Pacers Squad is also great.
there are great tandems I can form also:
Kings:Cousins, Evans, Me
Heat:Wade, Bosh, Me
Clippers:Blake, Me
Hawks:Melo, Horford, Ibaka(was on Pacers with me), Me
Thunder: Durant, Westbrook, Harden, Me(1. Said I would be go-to guy 2. Just beat them so no.)
Mavericks:Turner, Me(Loved when Turner was on the Pacers with me and we were dominant so strongly considering us to carry the workload but would be fun as they didnt even make the playoffs this year.)
I'm gonna sit on it for about an hour as all of these contracts are for about 4+ years. Also got offers from other teams but they already have good PG's, like Bobcats, Celtics, Bulls, and Cavs(Not a good PG but I hate Lebron and he went back there.)
Edit: I'm now a Dallas Maverick for 4 years worth $57.30M with a Player Option.Last edited by Bolsen; 04-22-2012, 01:43 AM.Comment
