Hey guys!
I have a problem with the My Player mode. I'm an all-around SG. I was drafted with the 16th overall pick by the 76ers, got to the starting lineup after Iggy and Brand got traded to Celtics for Jeff Green and Kevin Garnett, since then I was playing really well, being the 4th top scorer in the league, number 1 in made 3-pointers, January's Player of the Month and broke season record with 59 points in a win over Pistons. And after a 99-96 win over the Celtics with a double-double (32 points, 10 assists) and A+ I had been sent to D-League team, Maine Red Claws. And here is my problem. While starting the 3rd quarter, the game closes and I have restart it. Did all what I could do, turned off auto-save, re-installed the game. I installed also the 2012 Off-Season roster with rookies like Irving and Faried and I think it can be the major problem, but I was changing it back to normal roster and it didn't help. I really like this game and want to play more. Thanks in advance!

My Player is a 6"5 point forward for the 76ers I averg 8.3pts per gm, 3.8, assist, 2.9 rb and 1.5 stl. My rating is 64 overall and our record is 37-19...we got Doug Collins fired sigh.

hmm... i did not know there was a D-League option in NBA2k12. You must be playing NBA2K11?

Guys i have 2 simple questions. First, in CAL you can earn shoe commercial etc. ? Second in CAL draft bug is still appearing like in MP ?

Anyone know any specific ways to get your My Player to start showing up on NBA2k.com? I can view my associations just fine, but my MP will never upload.

It hasn't worked for anyone since mid May. I really wish they would fix it.

May 16th seems to be the last day it ever worked for me and my friends.
Although I noticed he posted a video today and that finally worked. ( Edit: he told me he posted that video a month ago and it just now showed up )

This game mode is such a mess, it's crazy.

Your team plays ridiculously bad. They can't execute any plays, every plays that implies me doing an onball screen just blocks. When we freelance and i go set a high screen to the PG or LBJ, the guy just stays there for 20 seconds before doing some ridiculous iso moves that goes nowhere. When you're down 3 with 4 seconds to go they will never run a 3 points play... Seriously it's crazy how a mode can be this ****ed up.

It's still enjoyable at times, but this game mode hasn't improved a bit in years. You play with ******s, with a playbook that doesn't work and against teams that pumpfakes threes and make everything.

I guess it's a little easyier when you're a PG since you run the offense, but as a Center wow, this game can be so frustrating.

hmm... i did not know there was a D-League option in NBA2k12. You must be playing NBA2K11?

No, unfortunately there is a D-league in the 2k12, but the players there are not real.

From my play of CAl, there are no MJ commercials, billboards or shoe releases, no after game press conference and, the draft bug is still in place.

No, unfortunately there is a D-league in the 2k12, but the players there are not real.

I have had some pretty bad players in the MP game, but have not gotten dropped down to the D-Leagues as has happened in NBA2K11. The coach always seemgs to give me more minutes and an eventual starting lineup assignment regardless of my play.

Yeah it's pretty much impossible to play as anything other than a PG. Not only for the reasons you explained, but because of the constant pushing the CPU defenders do to you when trying to navigate around the court when you don't have the ball. It's impossible to set screens near the paint or even move around comfortably anywhere inside of the 3 point line. Even guys much smaller and weaker than you will muscle you up, push you around and box you out.

And the plays are terrible. Not only do they never work, but your team always runs the same stupid plays over and never runs any for you. The teammate A.I. in My Player really needs a LOT of work.

Had my first 50 point game with my PG a couple of weeks ago against the Clippers. It's probably the most realistic 50 point game I've ever had in My Player in any 2K game. I went 17-25 from the field, 2-2 from downtown, and 17-21 from the line. All of them were legit fouls too. No intentional fouls. I finished with 53/3/6 and 5 steals.

I have never ran a play.. should I do that will that help?

I play Point Forward SF/PG ( and SG/PF sometimes )

I keep beating the best teams and getting steamrolled by garbage teams at home.

I don't even know how to run plays. never have run a play in any nba game since nba live '95.

I don't even know how to run plays. never have run a play in any nba game since nba live '95.

If you want more realistic, controlled gameplay then running plays will help with that. There's usually at least 2-3 good plays (literally) in a playbook so just go through a bunch of them during a game and see how they work.

I really only run about 5 plays in total from my playbook (I play for the Timberwolves) and most of them are just for getting post position for Kevin Love or Derrick Williams. The rest are just 3 point plays for my teammates that never work.

When I'm at SG, I'll turn on the run plays feature to be more realistic instead of dominating the ball all the time. My team usually struggles when I'm not at PG because the A.I. is terrible at running the point, so it can be a little frustrating.

There is a run play feature?

So I'm SF but I usually call for pass so that steve nash passes it to me.. otherwise he dribbles around and runs the shot clock down. I usually play a 2 man game with my Center which works well one of us scores unless we are being cheesed by the CPU ( a lot )

I get my SG ( Josh Childress big fro guy ) WIDE OPEN I keep passing it to him.. I have YET to see him take a shot..dude just stands there he has half the court before the nearest defender just stands there.. SHOOT IT YOU PRICK! lol...is what i usually say.
