I absolutely LOVE my player mode. I've played the madden and NCAA equivalent game modes, and my player is miles ahead of the others in terms of gameplay and experience. I just don't like the lack of a sim option.

Re: Official NBA 2K12 My Player Thread
Sim stats in my player mode are HORRIBLE! I am a rookie point guard for the Milwaukee Bucks. I played every game up until I was put into the starting lineup. Then I started playing only key games and thats when it started. I never shoot threes because I simply dont have the skill. However, when I sim, I often have games where I shoot several threes a game. Once I was 2-9, another time, I was 3-11....even went 0-8 once. 2K really needs to fix these MP issues because this game mode has the potetial to be the best mode ever.XBOX 360 GT:TOOinsane89Comment

The most likely cause is the tendencies. The highest, or 2nd highest shooting tendency is 3pt shot at like, 30. In general, the tendencies for your my player aren't very good. I think my guy has like a shot tendency up into the 90's, but shot inside, shot close, and shot medium are all only in the 10-20 range, while 3pt shot is in the 30's? Makes no sense.
There are some other tendencies that seemed off to me as well, but I can't recall them at the moment. Definitely something that 2k needs to look into for 2k13.Comment

Re: Official NBA 2K12 My Player Thread
It's been a week or so since I had a chance to play/post.. was off covering (photography) 2 local teams in the Minnesota State softball tourney..
anyway.. my first game in a week or maybe a bit more and.. 8/14 shooting 20 points 9 boards 9 assists.. in 30 minutes.. had those stats at the end of 3 and I sat the entire 4th quarter again. It's only the 13th game with my Suns PG/SG but I wanted to finish the triple double.
Rookie season average for this player after 13 games 22.8 minutes, 16.8 ppg, 4.3 boards, 5.7 assists 1.3 steals & blocks .42 shooting .81 from the line.. but 3.5 turnovers per gameView Through My Lens sports photography

Faced the Thunder in my ChiTown, and we actually won for once.

CHI 100
OKC 90
My stats: 44 minutes, 37 points, 16 assists, 3 boards, 4 steals, (91 stl rating) 4 blocks (50 blk rating), shot 50% from the field and from the arch, and perfect from the line.
By the way, I also set my career high in assists.Comment

A lot of them were from defender fronting my center I I want to pass over the top guess thats impossible because they just do a bounce pass directly into the defender lol.Comment

I just checked mine. First in MVP race, First in most improved player. about 7th for allstar "forwards" wtf..
Pull A's nearly every game but my team is in 10th place in the west at 23-21 ( season 2 ). May be missing the playoffs again unless my team stops sucking.Comment

Re: Official NBA 2K12 My Player Thread
After 14 games with the mentioned PG/SG with the Suns.. interesting split with a 7-7 record
I score 1.2 ppg more in losses, and have nearly 3 more assists in losses, and shoot 45% instead of 42% in those losses also so it's not like I'm really costing the team right?
By the way, where does Steve Nash go when he's not in the game? He's never on the bench in this game when he's not on the floorView Through My Lens sports photography

Re: Official NBA 2K12 My Player Thread
We just took game 1 of the first round playoff serie off the Hawks with the Heat on the road in double over time. I had the game winning mid range jumpshot. 31 points 14/22 / 12 rebounds / 2 interceptions / 1 block / 2 TO.
Btw I'am a defensive center with a good midrange J.
Great game.Comment

Re: Official NBA 2K12 My Player Thread
I see a lot of guys having problem with 3's so I'm going to give you a few suggestions.
Before I do, just know that you're going to miss 3's, it's normal and is going to happen regardless of your statistical ratings.
I am the most effective hitting my 3's in two scenarios...
First one is on fast breaks coming off of a defensive board, block, or steal. I use the sprint button and quickly get out to a preferred spot behind the 3 point line and start calling for the ball (mind you I'm in my third year and max rated in just about everything), they oblige and kick it out to me and I have a high percentage of making them like this.
To better understand this part, it seems most effective if I sprint the entire floor down to my 3 point spot and call for the ball just as I'm about to get to where I want to shoot from. I try to catch it in stride then stop and shoot.
The second way is me holding the ball at the top of the 3 point line and calling for a pick (rb I believe, if not the lb hehe), I slowly move (using the walking animation) around my pick so that the guy that has me on defense kind of starts to get picked. Then it's just a matter of putting it up.
I don't hit on as high a percentage with the second one as I do the first. I shoot about 49% for the season on my 3's for the season. I mostly play key games now, I have gone anywhere from 3-6 to 11-14 shooting 3's in games using only these two methods.
I'm not saying my way is best or anything like that, just trying to find ways to help those of you who struggle hitting 3's.
If you have any specific questions (ratings, position, etc) just ask. Hope it helps someone.Comment
