    2) I've done a couple trainers and the shoot around, but is the a place I can practice my free throws? I am totally 0fer in the games I've played.
    3) Any place I can find some of the other things about the game? I figured the red meter on the floor is my fatigue, but noticed a different meter when shooting. I'm still trying to get down all the control buttons. With they had a more in depth manual than just control buttons.
We are not ignoring you...you are a bit vague in your questions, nevertheless here goes...

    2. You cannot practice Free Throws in My Player...yea its a bummer

    3. Yes, Red means Fatigue, every time you hit TURBO you are eating into your Stamina. The Blue equals the amount of Stamina your player has. The big "G" is the Gatorade Cup telling you that you are out of gas and need rest (you probably won't get it, so try to avoid shooting at this point)

The "Yellow Blocks" on your ring symbolize your Hot Shooting spots on the Court. The more Yellow blocks you have for a particluar area the better you will shoot there.

    1. Whew...

Play Styles: Pass-first means he primarily passes the ball instead of looking for his own opportunities to score. Scoring & 3-pt Specialist are scorers. Athletic is a player with strong physical attributes. Defensive is a player with strong defensive skills.

    Positions:
PG- The ball handler that controls the offense.
SG- A ball handling wing player who primarily looks to score points.
SF- A versatile and athletic wing player, he can score from the outside and in the Low Post, runs the floor well, good finisher on the fastbreak (dunk) and good shot blocker because of his athleticism.
PF- Primarily a low post player. Generally considered the Enforcer on the floor, scores in the low post, great rebounder and good shot blocker.
C- Primarily a low post player. Guards the paint, scores primarily in the low post, good passer, great rebounder and shot blocker.

The gameplay; set it on Pro/Simulation, I recommend you Turn the Plays to Auto; Show Plays: Full (Game Mode Settings)

Adding Skill Points & Abilities: Once you have selected the player you want to create...take a moment to look at the top players for that position FROM THE MAIN MENU - ROSTER.

Hit Edit and look at their skill points so you have an idea of where they are strong (number value) so that when you add skill points you are adding them to appropriate areas. For example a Center does not require much attention to his Off-Hand Dribbling!

Signature Moves: Default is just fine, but, while you are looking at skills take a peak at their signature moves. Remember you can change signature moves at anytime during your players' progression.

Plays: Once you have been Drafted. Go to the Main menu, create a temporary Assosication file for that particular team. Once you do that turn on the Practice and you can watch the plays being run so you have an idea of what to expect...PAY ATTENTION TO YOUR POSITION.

Things that will get on your nerves...

"Bumping" and "Suck-in" is a major Hurdle to climb; there are several posts about how to lessen the frustration

Rookie "Ice Skating" its when you lose control of your player...he will run around "out of control"

Ask anything, but be as specific as you can be...

I am probably forgetting something but this should get you to your first 5 questions!

From what I've heard, you're LWP has to be in the 80's in order to get the sig shoe. (I keep raising mine, but whenever I get close it goes back to 60's D: )

Re: Official NBA 2K12 My Player Thread

Just wanted to see what people thought about my attributes for a 6'7 Ath PG.

          Offense:

          88 Inside
          88 Close
          88 Med
          50 3pt
          90 FT
25 Low Post(don't feel a need to up yet)
          95 Layup
50 Dunk (good enough for now)
          25 Stand Dunk
          95 S.I.T.
          76 Off Hand
          85 Ball Security
          90 Pass
          80 Hands
          35 Off. Rebound

I feel confidant in my offense.

          Defense:

          25 Low Post
          35 Block
          66 Steal
          45 Def. Rebound
70 On Ball D(I feel that I should get this up soon)

          Physical:

          75 Hustle
          91 Speed
          85 Stamina
          90 Vert
          96 Durability
85 Quickness (I feel this should be close to my speed to take full advantage of my Speed)
70 Strength (heard it had something to do with lay-ups and dunks)

          Mental:

          45 Off Clutch
          25 Def Clutch
          50 Emotion
          70 Def AWR
          78 Off AWR
          90 Consistency

so any opinions on what I should focus on next I'm 74 OVR atm 36 games into my rookie season.

Tall PG. Seems good so far, one thing I recommend raising is your awareness. Either one usually always raises your OVR.

Yea, IDK why I originally wanted a tall PG maybe it was me liking magic.

                    PG/ATH/JAZZ/Rookie/OVR: 74

Playing against a struggling Memphis team at the moment.
The First Half just ended and we are rolling up 58-31 while I have shut Mike Conley down.

First Half stats from my player are 17 Pts 6 Reb 12 Ast 10 Stl 3 T.O. 4-11 from the field (need to improve) 9-10 from the line I missed a fluke shot hitting 89% but to already have a triple double i'm happy.

Game just ended my final stat line was a Rebound short of a quadruple double.

Stat Line: 23 Pts 9 Reb 20 Ast 10 Stl 3 T.O. 6/17 FG 35% 11-12 from the line. which I shot a higher percentage but atleast my T.O.s were down.

                            6'7 Ath PG (Penny Hardaway)

Off Hand Dribbling is important for a PG; expecially once you start mastering Dribble Moves
On Ball D - get it up! Better defense means better Teammate Grades!
Low Post Shot, agree, but don't sleep on this; its a great tool when your jumper is not falling. Posting up for a close shot can get you out of a slump and more importantly change your Tendencies on your "AI-Scouting Report"!

Don't over-due Consistency & Shoot in Traffic, your Shot Selection is the main thing in shooting.

If you are playing Pro/Sim; don't touch your shooting other than the 3-pt; those numbers are very good.

Save those extra points for your Abilities!!! This is something alot of us Guards, including me, have learned the hard way. You have been short-changed in your Abilities from the Start as compared to other Rookies and veterans alike. Don't let the big skill point numbers scare you off from saving!

I think he means his personal Jordan Brand Shoe that's being sold; as per Jordan Endorsement claim. Meaning he has seen his actual design on another player; which is pretty cool!

If my memory serves me right, you get the 1st shoe @ Overall Rating: 80 or 82....I do not remember what my league wide popularity was then but I don't this its was in the 80s. I got the shoe long bf I was really checking LWP though (noway I was even considering making the all star team).

I am waiting on my 2nd (OVR: 91), well I am really just hoping my shoe comes back, I lost after the last update/patch!

Oh, I wasn't going to play with any more shooting attributes other than the fact I decided to max out layup and I know I was nearing the point that I had to start saving up for abilities. I just added points from the last game against memphis before I saw your post the attributes I added too were to max out layup, get off awareness to 80, I upped On-Ball D to 75 and steal to 68 (going for 70) then continue to up OBD to 80-85 what do you think I should get Off-Hand too?
