Getting to the RIM is hard at first for everyone. W Plays On

    1. Slow down your player's movement on the court!
    2. Watch the plays develop an look for an opportunity to go to the basket. You can get to the rim much more if you read, anticipate picks and player movement.

    3. Watch where your PF/CEN posts up, run right at him and go to the rim in the space between him (off left/right shoulder) and the out of bounds line.
    4. Exploit the AI overplay on defense and use Misdirection to get to the hoop.

    <iframe width="420" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/21TQPbC61Yg" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

Only use the TURBO once you come Off/Around the Pick! If you Turbo in the begining of your drive you will get NO SEPARATION to the basket (dang gone hip check)!

    5. Use a Dribble Move (Hesitation or Crossover) to give yourself some space on the floor to drive.

    <iframe width="420" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/US9yzpK-2ng" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

    6. There are about 6-7 opportunities to get to the rim each game.

Over time this will become much easier to see golden opportunities to get to the basket just remember to move UNDER CONTROL on the floor!

Small Note: I am at the point where I am saving up for Abilities. I am thinking about going after the euro or hop step ones first any suggestions?
IMHO, go for shooting first. Being Athletic you have speed and vertical to successfully make layups. Try implementing the Euro Step (PS3 - L2 button) on some of your drives in traffic before spending on Layup Abilities.

All of our Competition (AI/CPU) have either Good or Great Shooting abilities. Dribble Pull-up and Fadeway is a good plae to start regardless of your personal playstyle.

I have been implementing them the raise in FTs is actually due to it, I see where your coming from about that I will probly Dribble Pull-up first then because I can use that to help me after the guy that is covering me is picked and the roll guy is covered.

            Sort of, yes.

            PG/SCORING/KNICKS/SOPH

            24-9; 1st Eastern Conference (MIA 0.5 GB)

My PG continues to show the "best" PGs of the league (CP3, Westbrook, Rondo, Williams, Parker, etc.) why he is the beset PG in the NBA, and is the MVP frontrunner. The Nets are 8th place in the conference this season, and we just dismantled them 115-76. The Big 3 (me, Carmelo, Amar'e) did usual work with 20+ points each; I was in foul trouble through most of the game, and our other team-mates did a great job of scoring, and the bench unit continues to improve and impress, this time scoring 35 points.

In our next game, I decided to sim vs. MIL (yawn). I checked the sim stats, and I finished with: 37 points, 5 rebounds, 8 assists, 2 blocks and 7 steals!

We face the Wizards, and this time it's to show John Wall what high % shooting, no turnovers, and assists mean haha.

That is exactly what it is.

Btw does anyone know the requirements of a key match-up for PGs I had one against washington and not against the Spurs and I was pretty sure Parker was in the area of rating for a key game.

Ok. I was making sure before I use 9k+ skill points on it.

                  PG/3PT/BULLS/YEAR 5/OVR:86

                  Barely won against the Nuggets.

                  CHI: 83
                  DEN: 79

I did get the MVP chant while I was shooting my free throws.

My stat line: 43 minutes, 41 points, 8 rebounds, 8 assists, 8 steals, 1 block, 6 turnovers, and I was 8-11 from the line.

Good win, curious question did you miss any while they were chanting because I'm pretty sure if you miss 1 you ruin the buzz.

I think it has to be another young up-and-coming PG. Maybe even the likes of a CP3 who has already made his mark. Someone like Parker is definitely more of a veteran, though. If you play Westbrook, Paul, Rose, etc. you should get a key game.

One thing I just noticed in Creating a Legend is that key games are highlighted on the schedule. I don't remember this being the case on the schedule in My Player. Can anyone confirm/deny?

I honestly have no idea but with me saving up points for abilities. I am pretty sure 80 might be my overall at the end of my rookie campaign with a few abilities at good or great.

I can confirm if you go to my team and schedule they are highlighted but injuries can change them. I lost out on a key match against nash(which is why I was curious about parker) because he was hurt and replaced by rubio.
