Re: Official NBA 2K12 My Player Thread
Yes. However, having the CPU on 12-minute quarters seems to give them higher point totals (in terms of league leading PPG). In my MP, Durant is leading scoring with 29.8 PPG...not too far fetched; however, there are 21 other 20 PPG scorers, the 22nd being Ramon Sessions at exactly 20.0 PPG. There are lots of players in the 20~23 PPG range, however. Haven't tried CPU at 11 minutes, though.Canucks | Packers | Blue Jays | Lakers | Raptors

Re: Official NBA 2K12 My Player Thread
Also, has anybody had any stand-out rookies in their MP? This year (12-13) rookie class has been pretty poor, with only two real "standouts": Jamon Rivera (Bobcats) and Drew Karl (76ers). Both are SF/PF and Karl is great when we play against the 76ers. He's averaging 16/6 on the season. Rivera also plays well when we play them...perhaps taking advantage of Carmelo's defense lol. He averages 14/7 per game, and both shoot over 48%.
Any great rookie seasons? I think Karl's for me is pretty decent, but any real standouts, maybe not like guys like Duncan, or my MP (Rookie Season: 23/10) but maybe like a season Wall or Irving had?
There are 2 guys on 76ers who became 90+rating but on their rc seasons, they averaged just 10+ppg and even when they became 90+rating, they average around 15-17 ppg.Last edited by nbanoname; 04-03-2012, 01:24 PM.Comment

Wow.
I have had by far my best game as a SF so far. We just finished playing the Chicago Bulls and we beat them by 11 points. I was able to foul out Derrick Rose late in the game, which ultimately gave us the win. The highlight of the night was I dropped a career high 50 points, while playing 33 minutes and on 18-29 shooting and 13-15 from the free throw line. Also I had 7 rebounds, 2 steals, 1 assists, and 1 block. When I hit the 45 point mark the crowd started chanting M.V.P. every time I was at the free throw line (Which actually felt good lol). Throughout the game I was being guarded by Dang, Brewer, Rose and even Taj Gibson but none of them were able to stop me. The final score was 84-73. Thanks and sorry for the long read.Comment

Re: Official NBA 2K12 My Player Thread
Even though things are going great with my new SF on the Mavs, I'm thinking about making a new PG tomorrow. I'm such a control freak, and it is starting to get on my nerves to not be able to run the plays I want.
Though at some point I need to stop making new players and just stick with one.
What are the downsides to playing a CAL campaign instead of MP? I've never done one, and don't really want to waste my rare days off on messing with it if there is too big of a difference."You honestly don't really feel it when the shots are going down. You don't ever get the goose bumps until the fans start to appreciate what you're doing."

Re: Official NBA 2K12 My Player Thread
I almost had a triple-double in a loss against Portland. We overcame a 19 point deficit and in the fourth quarter I got subbed out and when we came back in we were down 5 and I was put as shooting guard. I stayed as shooting guard the rest of the game which is the main reason we lost because when I can't call plays we force a lot of shots. I had 7 rebounds by the end of the third and finished with only 7. Pretty frustrating loss. Final stats:
33 points
7 rebounds
17 assists
6 steals
9 turnovers
So far my guy is a 79 overall and there's three games left in the season. I bumped my dunk up to 72 and I really want to buy a dunk package but I only have 200 thousand and even the cheapest ones cost at least 500.GT: assassinK24Comment

Re: Official NBA 2K12 My Player Thread
Finished season one with my 6'4" athletic PG. Now up to 83 overall and crazy athletic: 99 Vert, 98 Speed, 97 Quickness, 85 dunk, 92 layup. Unstoppable going to the hoop. Tons of fun to play with (got him to 99 passing as well). I probably played about 25 games in reg season and 8 games in the playoffs.
Finals MVP with the Suns, but then they decided not to re-sign Shannon Brown and moved me to SG. So, I requested a trade and man did I find a gem:
The Clips signed Dwight Howard after he opted out and Jeremy Lin as well (they lost CP3, who didn't re-sign). I request a trade to the Clips and BAM three days later I'm swapped for Lin. Now, starting PG with Howard and Blake Griffin in the front court and who else but Shannon Brown at SG. Greatest/most athletic team ever. First game, I threw about 8 alley oops and dished 16 dimes. Howard, Griffin, and Brown are alley-oop machines. So much fun.
Now, I just need to upgrade my dribble moves and shot types...they're super expensive.Comment

Re: Official NBA 2K12 My Player Thread
Post trade dead line center help. So started a center with the tomba rosters and forgot was drafted by the warriors. I was excited at first until I remembered the traded monta for Bogut. I don't really care about winning too much I just want to be dominant. So what team would be a good team to be traded to that needs a good athletic center....well besides the heat.Comment

Re: Official NBA 2K12 My Player Thread
Another loss due to my team allowing a huge lead when I'm not in the game and later putting me in at shooting guard so I can't lead us to a victory. We were down by over 20 to the Clippers (who for some reason didn't have CP3) and I brought it back to 7 points but nobody stepped up their game and we lost pretty badly. I finished with 25 points and 24 assists.GT: assassinK24Comment

I love Carmelo in my MP. He actually passes, and is averaging 23/8/6 while actually shooting above 50 FG%. I'm a genius as a PG. lol.Canucks | Packers | Blue Jays | Lakers | Raptors

Re: Official NBA 2K12 My Player Thread
Apologies for this question as I'm sure it's been covered but I am new and having a hard time searching through this thread for the answer ...
Is there any way to see my MP's hot-zones on PS3? I know there's an icon under the player during the game, but isn't there a way to see the full breakdown at once?
ThanksComment

Re: Official NBA 2K12 My Player Thread
Depends on your shoes...do you have custom shoes for your MP? Because some of the in-game shoes have no attribute increases.
Hope I helped.Canucks | Packers | Blue Jays | Lakers | Raptors
