Re: Official NBA 2K12 My Player Thread
Just started a new MP with the Rookies included. I made a Athletic Center that's 280 lbs.
First game of the season against the Miami Heat Dwade went down with a lower back strain. We still lost, though. My stats were 2pts, 7rebs, 4bks and 3tos. I thought I did a decent job. I have to limit my turnovers.Comment

Re: Official NBA 2K12 My Player Thread
Man, am I the only one who doesn't get pretty much obvious fouls called on him? My player hit the floor like 5 times going for a dunk/lay-up and they won't make the call, and if you just breathe towards the CPU they get the call?Comment

Re: Official NBA 2K12 My Player Thread
I just turned off 'run plays' and I like it much better. My team gets more shots per game since I control the pace, I get more assists since my teammates look to score instead of waiting for a play to run its course, and I don't have to run across the lane and play bumper cars. Man, if I bumped somebody three times while running through the paint IRL at the park, fists would be thrown.
Sometimes I'll turn plays back on if it gets too sloppy or I want to slow down the pace. Games also seem more varied without plays, not just going down to the wire all the time on Allstar and Superstar/default(games seem to stay close artificially). I'm in the playoffs and the Lakers beat me the first game, but I won by 20 in the second.Comment

Re: Official NBA 2K12 My Player Thread
Played 24 games into the season and my team has already made 3 weird trades. I'm using a downloaded roster with the rookies added. I'm an athletic SG on the Knicks. I started out coming off the bench playing the 1, 2, and 3 positions. Felt we were most effective when we went to a small front court with my player at the 3, Carmelo at the 4, and Amar'e at the 5 with Fields and Chauncey in the back court. Then right as my minutes started to get up they made the first trade.
Chauncey Billups and Toney Douglas for Chris Bosh and Mike Bibby
OK, so we now start me at the PG with Fields, Carmelo, Amar'e and Bosh. Carmelo got hurt though late in the first game together and I never got to really play with that lineup much. With Carmelo out, Bosh was moved to the SF and Turiaf was starting again at C. Then came trade #2.
Landry Fields and Ronny Turiaf for Marreese Speights and Craig Brackens
So with Fields gone that allows me to slide over to my natural SG position and with Carmelo still hurt Speights joins Amar'e and Bosh in a very big front court. But our PG becomes Iman Shumpert. The flow of our offense totally went out the window. Half the time I call for a pass and bust the play before Shumpert does something stupid.
Now we've made our 3rd trade.
Amar'e Stodemire for Pau Gasol and Shannon Brown
I'm yet to play a game since that trade, but it looks like Shannon Brown is going to take over as the starting PG with me at SG, Bosh at SF, Gasol at PF, and Speights at C at least until Carmelo returns from injury. Not sure I like the idea of Shannon Brown being the PG.Comment

Re: Official NBA 2K12 My Player Thread
The last two my players I had were both athletic PG's in both NBA 2K10 and 2K11. This year, I decided to do something different and decided to make a 7'0 faceup center named Marshall Bradford. For minimal rage, I turned on the "no trade clause" for a lot of players, which hopefully means the BS trade logic shouldn't be much of a factor. I used it mainly for superstars, franchise players, and role keepers.
So far, I'm 11 games into the season with the Indiana Pacers. We started off very well with a 3-1 start, however, we recently sputtered into a 1-5 slump. I helped pull my team through back-to-back wins, however, against Portland and our rival Detroit. Detroit delivered my first double-double with 18 points, 11 rebounds, and 5 blocks (a season high). The next game will be against Detroit again (don't you love back-to-back key games?) at home in Indiana. After that, it's Cleveland and another key game against rival Chicago.
Marshall is averaging a solid 13 points, 6 rebounds, 2 assists, 2 steals, 2 blocks, and only 1.5 turnovers coming off as the sixth man. However, a few more good games should see me replacing either Hibbert or Hansbrough as the starting PF or C. I'll be keeping this updated.
Oh, and our first transaction of the season? Roy Hibbert signed an extension for 6 years/68 mil. Something tells me that I might not be staying in Indiana for as long as I hoped...Comment
