Anyone know why as a forward/big man sometimes when you pass the ball in, it just sits there and your guy gets the 5 second violation? I will be pressing pass over and over to a wide open guy and nothing happens! wtf

Anyway created a new guy because my 6'2 pg ginger bread is maxed out and in my fourth year. I made a 6'8 small forward named Quinn Flowers. He looks like a homocidal ben wallace. He got drafted to golden state and I am happy because I love curry and ellis. Were 5-1 right now and Flowers still really sucks! I want him to be a sick rebounder and an elite defender. As a pg I got tired of going for assists so for this guy I am just not going to care about my assist stat. Points, boards, and steals! Hopefully I can lead golden state to their first championship. With this mp I don't plan on trading, I want to work on my team.

Any tips on grabbing boards better? I average 6-7 right now as a bencher

I'm done with MY PLAYER. This mode blows. 2k needs to just remove it, or completely rebuild it from the ground up.

Game CHEATS for your CPU opponents. I've been TRYING to win the finals against the HEAT by no matter what, LeBron will NOT miss a shot. I lost game 5 in which he literally made every shot. He had 51 points on 20 shots. (2 3PG and 5 FT). Meanwhile, Westbrook and Durant miss easy attempt after attempt at lay-ups.

Grading scale is AWFUL. I saw a pass coming my way (defensively) so I jumped the gun to attempt a steal. I got BAD STEAL ATTEMPT... EVEN THOUGH I STOLE THE DAMN BALL!!!! Are you freaking kidding me? Hahaha wow.

No matter what, this game mode is out to get you. I draw a foul and go to the line. I make both shots, and I barely get rewarded. If I MISS both shots, I lose half my current grade. Uhhh.... What?

This mode just blows. It needs to be removed. It's clear 2k developers did not even try with this mode and clearly failed to test it with all the bugs and issues that go on with it.

man i know that feeling, i guess its better to play with low end teams so you wont expect anything

yes this mode has its share of problems. it does have a few bugs that get annoying, and the mode definatly needs a little working. but they do not need to trash the mode and remove it.

i've played pretty much every other "my player" type game mode for most every sport game(besides MLB the show). and i have to say, this one is FAR ahead of the others.

and they did try with this mode, actually my player and greatest mode are the only ones they even tried on. create a legend is basically player lock, and association is identical to last year. but they are trying with my player and adding new features.

now obviously the game does have issues, im not saying it doesnt. i agree the grading scale is a little wack sometimes, and the AI is off. but come on, its not bad enough to the point where they need to scrap the mode. its not even close to that point

the calf sleeve is Dmayne's d rose calf sleeve. and im fairly sure that's gory's knee pads but im not positive.

My SG just missed a chance to break career hi in Assists. When I was with Bulls, I did 17 Assists during the simulated game once. Currently with TWolves, I made 16 assists at the end of 3rd quarter (as well as 5 turnovers). At the beginning of 4th Q, I got in-game objective "break the team record in Assists (Previously 17 by Billups)" My team got a huge lead so the coach (P.Ewing) left me in the court with all benches (3 of them are genertaed player rate 55-62)

I got my 17th assist (tie with my career hi and team's record. It is more special than when I got 17 assists with Bulls since this is not a simulated game) However, my teammates cant hit anything and I ended up getting more 3 turnovers in a row since I try to boost my assists. I lost my temper and try to steal the ball and ending up getting my 5th foul while there are around 7 minutes left. The coach then took me off for the whole game so it screwed my chance to get career hi and break the team records. Ending the game with 17 asts and 8 Turnovers.

Right now I average about 8.3 apg as a SG, if I play everygame and not sim, I think I can easily average 10+apg. However, my turnover/game is huge too. Right now I have 3.4 turnover/game (2nd in the league) Just committed 5,8,6,9 turnovers in 4 games I played (Even if I got 10+ assists every game). When I simmed, I also comiited a lot turnovers too.

As SG who cant run the play, I have to make some risky passes to get assists and risking getting turnovers instead. For ordinarly pass, my teammate just didn't shoot.

BTW, my passing is maxed out at 82. (80 for 3pt SG +2 cap boosts) Thinking my ball security rating is not much relate to my assist/turnover rating but it is maxed out too .

Sounds like you need more practice. Which difficulty do you play on? If LeBron is giving you trouble - double him. Last game against the Lakers (pro/sim) my SG (90 ovr, 95 on ball def) couldn't stop Kobe. So every possession I doubled him and we blew the Lakers away: winning by 30 points (my Knicks are 35-6 at the moment, and I am not cheesing!). I regularly win by double digits and every 2nd/3rd game is a blowout. When I lose now it is mostly against very good teams or when I play badly.

Once your my player gets his skills up and you play solid ball it is rather easy to win (with a decent team). Maybe I try HOF-difficulty next.

Grading system needs work though. I regularly get: "bad call for pass" before dunking an alley oop

Why doesn't My Player have it's own sub-forum? This thread has double the posts as Arena Sounds and it would easily have as many and probably way more threads

also looking through this thread, there are a lot of questions going unanswered because of waves of random people posting their stats from last game

I created an all-around PG. I really should have chosen scoring or athletic because I don't excel at anything (speed and 3pt are really expensive too). Got drafted by Bobcats (with their second 1st round pick) after telling all of my interviews that I didn't want to play for them haha. Got traded in this deal after a few games:

Bobcats trade - Corey Maggette, Me
Clippers trade - Caron Butler, Trey Thompkins

I am loving life in lob city. CP3 and Blake are a blast to play with. I have taken over for CP3 despite being rated almost 30 points worse (shaking head at 2K). He will probably ask for a trade soon now that his rating has dropped due to his 6th man role. Anyway, I had my first key game as a Clip against the Lakers. Kobe went off for 61 points and 10 reb(21-43 FG, 16-17FT). He was unstoppable. Luckily, Billups was hurt so CP3 got to start, but Kobe was making everyone look bad. I had my best game to date, going for 25 points and 13 assists (averaging 12pts/6ast/1stl). Griffin "chipped in" with 36 points 17 rebounds. We overcame a 10-pt 4th quarter deficit to tie it up with 2 minutes left. We ended up pulling it out 108-104 at the end. The Clips are now sitting pretty at 23-12 (2nd in West behind Thunder). I am on 12min/pro/sim because I am learning the game.

For other PG's out there, can anyone offer me advice on what to upgrade first? I thought pass, ball security, and off-hand dribbling would be best (want to be Steve Nash-like).

I love this mode, play it all the time and, at times, experience the same frustrations that the rest of you do. Last night I finally got my own Jordan shoe. Really cool. Liked the Billboard, the Commercial etc. When I go back to the home screen, my player doesnt have the shoes on! So I go to my shoes to equip them, and accidentally delete them! Now I know its my fault, I thought I was equipping them. But WHY have a delete option AT ALL!!!! If I dont want to wear them, I dont! But now its all gone! The billboard, commercial, everything.....Any idea on how to fix this, or am I out of luck?

I made a 6'4", 187lbs, 3-point specialist PG named Freddie Gibbs from Indiana. Some of you may be familiar with Gangsta Gibbs work.

My player was drafted by the Rockets and he's been starting for weeks now after Kyle Lowry went down with an ankle injury in the first month of the season. Right now the Rockets are sitting in 9th place at 17-17 in the west. Gibbs just recorded his first triple-double in a win against the Knicks at MSG with 33 points, 15 assists, 10 steals on pro/sim 12 minute quarters.

Recently I played a ridiculous couple of games. First against the Clippers where my player had 13 turnovers. CP3 was ripping him all over the court. Then the next game Russell Westbrook went off for 50 points. My team managed to win the game thanks to 4 clutch 3-pointers by Kevin Martin in the last 2 minutes of the game, all assisted by Gibbs.

On the season, Gibbs is averaging 23 points, 4.5 rebounds, 8.5 assists, 1.5 steals, 1 block on 39% shooting.
