Saying anybody can score 25 a game efficiently can be considered a stretch. Its called a prediction. I feel if he has the opportunity to play 35-40 minutes a game he has the potential to be a big time scorer. I never said he would. Its no different than people predicting anything else. If he ends up only being a 15 ppg type of guy, then fine, but I feel he just has the scoring ability to potentially become a great scorer. He averaged 25 a game in college, and obviously thats different, but clearly he has been a scorer in his past and thats a big reason teams like him
If he's not scoring efficiently he's not going to be playing 35-40 minutes per game. I agree the Lakers wouldn't trade Fisher, but I just found it unusual. I wasn't really suggesting anything, but rather pointing something out

That's a terrible trade. Why would you do that?

            WEEK 3: ONLY TWO GAMES?

Game 8: THERE GOES OUR EGO
            JAZZ-98 KNICKS-119
After a week full of challenges last week, this week Earl Watson returned (still injured, but could play), but, it also is regrettably a week against the Knicks and the Clippers. The Knicks just killed them. It was a guard's game for the Jazz, as Harris and Douglas both produced. Harris having 19 points, 5 assists, and 3 steals. Douglas having 18 points, 6 assists, and 1 steal. The reason for such a big loss would have to go to Al Jefferson, who got 11 minutes because of big time foul trouble. He only had 4 points and a block. Carmelo Anthony had a solid game of 40 points,11 rebounds, 2 steals and a block, but he did suffer from 5 turnovers. Amare Stoudemire contributed with 25 points and 2 blocks, with Baron Davis having 17 points, 6 assists, and 4 steals.
WHY CAN'T WE ALL JUST GET ALONG?
The game tonight was a game full of fouls. Both the Jazz and the Knicks suffered foul trouble. Jefferson and Millsap both had fewer minutes than usual in the game, (extremely fewer for Jefferson). Amare Stoudemire also had foul trouble, and both teams were in the high 20's when it came to fouls.

Game 9: AL JEFFERSON'S REDEMPTION GAME
            JAZZ-94 CLIPPERS-92
The game today was a close one. This game never had a clear cut winner, but the happiest person of all during this game would have to be Al Jefferson. Al Jefferson led the Jazz to the win with 29 points, 9 rebounds, and 3 blocks. Jefferson's 29 points were a career high, and that was after a bad game against the Knicks. Other Jazz men contributed as well. The Clippers almost had the game, due largely to Blake Griffin's performance, (21pts, 15rebs, 1stl, 2blks). Caron Butler had 21 points and a steal, and CP3 had 17 points and 2 steals as well. The game was a great win for the Jazz.
            GREAT PERFORMANCES
While Jefferson clearly shined as the MVP of the game, many other Jazz players contributed a lot as well. Devin Harris, Josh Howard, Toney Douglas, and Alec Burks all had double digit scoring nights, (the highest being Howard with 14). Each of these players also had dished in 2 steals for the Jazz cause.

Re: NBA 2K12: The Official Association/Online Association Thread

Finally got my Raptors franchise under way. I started by sending Valanciunas to the D-League for the year. I signed Robert Vaden from FA (Possibly going to D-League as well Im not sure yet). I traded away Aaron Gray, Gary Forbes, and Linus Kleiza away all for picks, I swapped some of mine as well I just wanted to get rid of those 3 for cap and roster space. Im deciding who I want to sign for a 1-year contract. I may sign 2 more players, but 1 would be a benchwarmer and the other would be a possible starting SF. I may just start James Johnson as he is a solid defender and then have Rasual Butler come off the bench, but I wouldnt mind adding another player in that spot.

I usually sign people I like as fillers, and Jamario Moon was a nice player for Toronto, so I am looking at him as a possible signing. Also Rodney Carney, Al Thornton and Cartier Martin. I may sign Patty Mills or Ben Uzoh at PG as well as a reserve, but with Vaden, I feel he could be decent anywhere from the 1 to the 3, so maybe not.

I ended up signing Jamario Moon. He will be my backup SF. I liked him in Toronto when he was there and I hope he can contribute to the team where I may keep him past this season

Quick Question- Is there a way to force the fake d-league players to retire this year. I know last year you could set all their ages to be 45-46 and they would retire the following season, forcing real players to fill the d-leage roster. Thanks in advance and sorry if this has already been asked.

I saw on this site that it isnt possible to do it that way this year. Maybe that's wrong though.

Lost my first game against the Sixers 97-90 (10 min quarters). I had 30 in the first and just did awful in the 2nd and way worse in the third. I was down 11 at the end of the 3rd and I did fight back to get within 4, but I missed a wide open 3 with Barbosa and it led to Iguodala slamming and getting fouled, which pretty much ended that. Ed Davis seems to be a bright spot off the bench, as he had 21 pts. Bargnani had 17 but missed a lot of shots. Also, I never got DeRozan going like I wanted. I played a lot of people a good chunk of minutes, but I had 3 or 4 guys with 2 fouls early into the 2nd so I rotated a lot.

I like what I have and as far as keeping this roster intact, that is the plan. The only thing I may do is trade Calderon and Amir Johnson later in the year so that I can clear cap space and also start playing Ed Davis more minutes. That all depends on how those 2 do throughout the season though.

I decided to rebuild the Toronto Raptors, since they seemed like a challenge. After a terrible first season (in which I focused on freeing up cap space), I was able to sign Eric Gordon, Kevin Love, and OJ Mayo. I also had the top draft pick, which I used on what ended up being an overall 83 rated point guard. After some trading, I've ended up with a starting lineup of:

PG: Scott Guerrero (the 83 point guard I drafted)
                      SG: Eric Gordon (82)
                      SF: Nicolas Batum (77)
                      PF: Kevin Love (83)
                      C: Al Jefferson (81)

I also have J.J. Redick (63), Raja Bell (65), Brandon Rush (66), Mehmet Okur (65), Boris Diaw (64), Troy Murphy (64), and Will Johnson (55 rated generic player)

The Raptors should be a much more improved team this season. I also have a couple first round draft picks from (currently) weak teams for the next draft and the one after, so things are looking good for the Raptors right now.

Do you go into practice mode and run plays, or edit your playbook at all? Or do you free roam an take Kobe-like shots lol. Also do you think I should start a new 29 game season? I'm only 5 games in it couldn't hurt could it...
I work on editing my playbook once I determine whats working and what isn't, but I let the CPU call my offense, so there is a set play run every time up the court. I love also that it allows you to go into individual players and set up their plays by midrange, 3pt, etc - so that each player plays more like their real-life counterpart.

As far as 58 games, I guess that's up to you, man. I haven't tried it, but that's a lot more hours to get through one season of 12 min quarters. 29 games with everyone playing everyone once is a fair judge of who deserves to make the playoffs, along with a decent sample size for realistic averages for stats. It all depends on how much time you have, and for me I'd rather play this size season and get through a few more of them.

As I hoped, my second season with the Raptors had a LOT more wins than the first one. With a completely different team than last season's, we finished with a 63-19 record, and a top seed in the playoffs.

In the first round, we eliminated the Pacers, 4-1. The Magic then swept us in the second round, and were swept by the Heat, who again failed to win the championship, this time losing to the Thunder, 4-3.

TEAM OUTLOOK AFTER 3 YEARS OF REBUILDING

The chips started falling in my favor when I was able to get the 2nd pick in the draft in the Stephen Jackson trade and get C Andre Drummond. This made the injury prone Andrew Bogut expendable and his value landed me another good trade via trade finder in Demar Derozan and a future 1st round pick. Josh Smith was a great free agent pickup turning the teams biggest weakness after trading PF Larry Sanders into one of its biggest strengths. However, the ultimate prize was landing the Raptors 1st round pick for the 2014 draft and getting highly touted Chicago native Jabari Parker. I was going to try to trade for the 1st pick to get him but the lottery went my way when the projected 3rd pick turned into the 1st. Free agent additions of Ibaka, Humphries, & Gortat over the past 2 years give the Bucks one of the deepest frontcourts in the league. The trade for Ginobili was mostly a financial one but adding the declining Ginobili should add much needed veteran leadership and scoring off the bench since the Bucks are finally in position to make some noise in the playoffs!

I'm bringing them back to glory, preaching Chuck Daly's/Larry Brown's defense

                              My current roster right now...
                              C: Marcin Gortat
                              PF: Udonis Haslem
                              SF: Tayshaun Prince
                              SG: Rodney Stuckey
                              PG: Will Bynum

Got Haslem in a trade with the Heat.

                              Trade Finder got me:
Udonis Haslem and 1st round draft pick
                              for
                              Ben Wallace

What draft class did you use for 2014. I found a 2012 and 2013 I really like and I would love to find a 2014. Im from Illinois and my brother is a junior in HS now and he's been playing against Jabari Parker since 5th grade. Its nuts cuz I remember him back then and I just saw him play a few weeks ago when I went back home. I would like to find a good 2014 draft class with him and some other top players in it.

Im 1-2 in my Raptors franchise. I easily beat the Cavs and had a great all-around game, especially defensively. Ed Davis is becoming a favorite of mine in the game, and I am very happy with Solomon Alabi. Bargnani got a lot of fouls in that game, and he stepped up on both sides of the floor. I simmed my game against the Wolves and lost by quite a bit. Ill make sure to play against them the next time, since my plan in this is to play every team once and play key division games as well as games late in the yr that could decide positioning. I play the Mavs next, who are rated about 20 better than my team, so I am not expecting much unless I can get another good defensive game.
