Re: Official 2k13 Wishlist Thread
- Please tone down the "psychic" awareness and reaction times of the CPU. It's starting to become an all too common occurrence for me to get blocked by a guy who has his back toward me. Even though he can't see me nor the ball, somehow he'll still jump at the perfect time and angle to block my shot. As for passing, I get at least 1 turnover a game from a defender tipping or stealing a pass before it even leaves my hands. He'll be right in my face but as soon as I start my pass animation he goes into a deflect ball animation and steals the ball.
- And is it just me, or does the CPU rarely if ever bounce the ball off of your feet when they dribble? They crossover in my face all of the time, but they never bounce it off of my feet like I do when I crossover, in and out or anything of the sort near them. That's one reason it's difficult to guard them, they can change directions right in your face.

Re: Official 2k13 Wishlist Thread
in association mode...i wish they could have all future draft picks already traded between teams, assigned to the correct teams, in the correct years. say in the rumored houston/orlando trade, hou offered orlando 2 1sts in 2013 (one they got from the raptors) and future picks...would be nice for realism if they were already available on the proper teamsComment

Re: Official 2k13 Wishlist Thread
1. Improve offline association. This is my favorite mode of the series, it takes a lot of time out of my life, and I'd like to see some improvements, as it's been the same for a few years now. Improve the scouting, atmosphere, storylines even... add a weekly show where you show highlights from the week and power rankings and a Top 10 plays. Also, fix the potential system. Too many stars in a few years. And let us use custom draft classes for 10+ years if you won't fix potential.
2. Bring back crew mode. During 2k11, I had a bad internet connection and me and my friends could not find any other crews to play. So fix the servers if you bring it back, I'd love to be able to play Team-Up with my friends with their My Players, because My Player just loses its shine after a day or 2.
3. Be able to choose alternate jerseys in online matches and My Player games.
4. More hair styles for CAP, more face templates. Also, you can't make a chubby guy unless they're like 320 pounds. Fix that.
5. Be able to have a Home Accessory for a player, and an Away Accessory. So that way teams can have white sleeves at home, black for away, etc.
6. Let guys like Dirk Nowitzki start the season with short hair, and as it progesses, have their hair grow out like it does in real life. This would be great. Ask NBA players how they would like it to progress. If LeBron wants to make a joke to where he shaves it after 2 years or so in the Association, then so be it!
7. For Ratings wise, have a base rating for a player in Association. I.E.- Say Shawn Marion is having a couple strong games shooting the 3. So his base rating is a 65. Since he's having a few strong games, let his rating fluctuate up a few points to the 70s. If he is struggling, reduce it to the 50s. I'd enjoy it if it was like MLB's to where they have a trend. So guys like Steve Nash wouldn't retire in a year, because he'll be playing for a while.Twitter: @TyroneisMaximus

Re: Official 2k13 Wishlist Thread
Variable CPU Large Deficit Defense: In most past iterations of 2K, it seems if the user works up to a double digit lead at any point of the game, the CPU automatically implements a man-to-man full court press for either 1) the rest of the game or 2) until the lead is brought under 10 points. I find this to be relatively generic and unrealistic for a couple of reasons.
First, I feel it'd be worthwhile to perform a little bit of research to discover exactly how teams tend to react once they begin to face a double digit deficit (and how it varies depending upon what quarter they begin facing this deficit). Do teams really begin playing tight man-to-man full court defense all around the floor when they fall behind early in the first quarter? Even when defenses do extend the length of the floor, is it really everyone matching up, or is it the point guard applying pressure on his own?
Second, I also find it unrealistic when a team has more or less mailed it in (ex: trailing by 30 with three minutes to go) and yet, they're still pressuring the length of the floor (as they may have been doing non-stop since the first quarter depending on how long they've been down by 10+). I believe there should definitely be a moment where, even if pressing made sense at one point, when a blowout loss seems close to inevitable, the full court pressure should cease.
Thirdly, somewhat tying into the first point, in the event a team should in fact be pressuring in the backcourt, I think it'd be worthwhile to have computer opponents switch up their strategies. Perhaps instead of having a hapless point guard attempt to turn me a few times before I inevitably blow by him, maybe it'd make more sense to pressure a few times full court, then the next trip spring a halfcourt trap.
Essentially, I do not believe every NBA team begins a team-wide full court press the moment they fall behind by more than ten points. This would exhaust the entire roster and would be all for naught in most cases, as backcourt pressure isn't nearly as effective in the NBA as it is in other levels. Further, the token defense during these presses can often lead to human players blowing by for fastbreak scores ad nauseum (I have to force myself not to exploit this portion of the game). As it stands now, things are just too predictable. If I get hot and build a big lead early, I know I can count on having to deal with playing the rest of the game trying not to blow by the haphazard full court press for easy points.Last edited by VDusen04; 07-14-2012, 10:18 PM.Comment

Re: Official 2k13 Wishlist Thread
- Please tone down the off-ball bumping, pushing and suction CPU defenders do to the user in My Player. If you want to keep it in that badly, at least make it where excessive pushing results in a loose ball foul. Also, make it where the user can do it to the CPU as well. As it is now, the user can only bump the off-ball CPU player to a certain extent. But when the CPU wants to receive a pass or get to a certain spot for a play, we can no longer interact with them.
- As I alluded to in my previous paragraph, we need a wider variety of loose ball fouls. There should be fouls called for excessive bumping of cutters, when fighting for post position, etc. All we have now are over the back, moving screens and those nigh random "pushing a guy much bigger than you after a rebound" fouls.
- Our players' tendencies in My Player should be dictated by our in game performances when we play. From my experience, the only tendency that is affected by my in game performances is the overall shot tendency. But when I sim games, they make me shoot a lot of threes. I even had a PF with a 45-50 3 Point rating and the game would make me shoot 1-3 3 Pointers every game when I would sim despite the fact that I NEVER shot 3 pointers in game.
- I would also like to see the CPU give up on some plays. What I mean is that if I get a steal at the half court line, no player is generally going to try and chase me down if they are all in the paint already or we are blowing them out. As it stands now, the CPU goes 110% on EVERY possession whether it be offense or defense. Maybe this could be affected by the Fatigue level as well.

Re: Official 2k13 Wishlist Thread
Literally in every single pre-game intro. Literally the same camera angle. Literally every time.
I can't imagine who thought this was a good idea, or why. I hope we, as players, weren't expected to not notice the fact that this clip gets recycled every single time.
While I'm on the topic, the pre-game intros in general were, and I'm not gonna sugarcoat it, complete butt cheeks. They lacked flow, a lot of the same clips were re-used from intro to intro, and it was just terrible overall.

This is how a pre-game intro should look. If you can't even come close to that, it'd probably be better not to have them at all. This isn't something that absolutely has to be in the game if it can't be done well.Comment

Re: Official 2k13 Wishlist Thread
Hopefully the ball is now inbounded to players who really receive inbound passes after a made basket. NBA 2K12 had many incorrect players over-handling the in the backcourt (shooting guards who don't do it IRL).
The 90's Bulls should inbound the ball to Scottie Pippen also.Only respectable people deserve respect, you destroyed the game.Comment

Re: Official 2k13 Wishlist Thread
- I just finished a My Player season and I noticed that they announce the MVP before the playoffs even start lol. They need to change it so that the awards aren't announced until almost the 2nd round of the playoffs. They could have some big ceremony before the game with Stern presenting the award to you.
- And speaking of celebrations, they need to make the players more emotional when someone hits a big shot. I'm not just talking about a game winner, but even a shot to end the half. If it's an amazing shot just have the teammates all come out and at least give dap or something. Guys just walk around and act like nothing happens when I hit a buzzer beater.
