    Re: Official 2k13 Wishlist Thread

    Some Association wishes here

-More blockbluster trades or just more trades in general man. After season 1 no more than 5 trades are being made. And if they are made, they're low level players(EX. Luke Walton for Francisco Garcia.......ooooooohhhhh)

-More realistic free agent signings. In 2014, Anthony Randolph's going to be a 100 million dollar man.... are you serious. And this is probably the reason for diminishing trades. Overspending for Anthony Randolphs and Javale McGees takes up cap space. And another thing-The Cavs aint picking up CP3(5 yr. 95 mil....) when dey already got Kyrie Irving coming off his ROY season. Come on 2k you're better than this.

-Might tie in to gameplay but, Stars putting up Stars stats. When it comes to association i usually dont play, unless i do a FD, so i sim through the season. I'm looking through some of these box scores man, Kevin Love getting 26 mins, 12 pts 7 rebs and he aint even hurt. CP3 averaging 5.4 assists throughout the season. Andrea Bargnani making the All Star squad( It's not that he's not a good player, but he plays for Toronto, man.)

-Last thing here, Madden might have got this right in '13, but player progression. If Greg Oden plays 5 gms in a season he doesnt deserve to be 80 ovr. the next year. All sports games have this issue because they dont base it on stats, but rather potential.

So basically im just wishing for some better GM AI.
    MLB:Seattle Mariners
    NFL:San Diego Chargers
    NBA:Minnesota TimberWolves

      Re: Official 2k13 Wishlist Thread

You guys really need to fix the glitch that occurs when the defense calls zone, and this causes the offense's big men to be unable to put their back to the basket and post up off the ball. It makes it almost impossible to throw entry passes.

        Re: Official 2k13 Wishlist Thread

        1. Get rid of the Rhino Forehead in the CAP system.

        2. Let us create coaches.

        3. Create A Team - Really needs to be fixed, if you download something from 2k Share get ready for name glitches

        3. Explain what each Rating, Attribute, Tendency, Coaching Profile and Slider Effect. This would give us major help for sliders and fixing coaching profiles.

        4. Have a team have like a mind-set, Rebuilding, Normal, 3 More Years Of Playoff Run(ex. Celtics)

        5. Fix trade logic no more being able to trade LeBron James for a bench warmer like Kwame Brown

        6. Server : This has to be 2k's main focus for NBA 2K13. Reason being is because 2K dropped the ball on online last year. Matter of fact 2K online hasn't been the same since 2K8 -2K9. 2K must update their server or invest in a new one to minimize the number of network errors and reduce the wait time for connecting to an opponent.

        7. Lobbies : Another obvious improvement 2K has to make to online is to implement lobbies again. 2K should bring back the 2K8 styled lobbies where there was a HoF lobby, Superstar Lobby, All Star Lobby, Rookie Lobby, and Street Ball Lobby. This would help players find games faster and allow players to play on their preferred skill level.

        8. More Camera Options : We all love 2K, Broadcast and Beluba cameras, but 2K needs to offer a wider selection of cameras that can be used online. One of my favorite cameras that I cannot use online is the High camera. In addition to that side and nosebleed should be included in online camera options.

        9. Better Match Making : Lets be honest NBA 2K's match making system is terrible. You either get matched up with a player that's a total novice, one that is a quitter, or a decent player. 2K needs to take a look at the NCAA Football match making system where every player is giving a rank. 2K skill ranks should go as follows Rookie, All Star, SuperStar, and Hall of Famer. So lets say im a Hall of Famer the match making system should try to match me up with other Hall of Famers or Superstars. This would be a plus for the online gamer that wishes to play a competitive game and for a rookie that wants to play somebody that is also new to the game.

        10. 2k Online Tournaments : Bring back the NBA 2K All Star tournament. VirginGaming tournaments are great but nothing compares to the official all star tournament. 2K should keep the VirginGaming tournaments option in the game but should improve it to where you don't have to go on the computer to find a match.

        11. Saved Playbooks : This is another thing 2K took away from online gamers, the option to save online playbooks. This is vital to any online gamer. Reason I say that is because of that dreadful 3 minute timer 2K gives players in the pause menu to set up all the in game adjustments. If one has 5-10 plays they wish to set up they may not be able to get it done due to the timer or because they wish to make other adjustments.

        12. Ability to play with the NBA Today team match-ups for that day would be awesome and would make team-up alot more fun to play, instead of having to play with the same team match-ups over & over again.

        13. Friends invited to play together this year will sometimes end up on different teams. Friends in a lobby need to be grouped together like they were in 2k11.

        14. Private team-up, add back the ability to use custom sliders, options, rules, injuries, fatigue, like what 2k11 offered.

        15. Ability to see how many timeouts are left would be nice.

        16. Ability to see who is talking in the pre-game lobby and be able to mute people should be added back.

        17. Stop making your teammates run right next to you on the way down the court so when you try to switch ball hands the ball hits their foot and the computer takes it down for a fastbreak score.

        18. Can we hear other players speak at interviews? Like can Lebron comment on how I can be a future star, or can our coach speak on how I can improve on the court, or have other players comment on how things could have been played.

        19. Let us get drafted as high as #1 and as low as #60. Literally anywhere based on our play on the Rookie Showcase

        20. Please have the announcers actually talk about whats going on in game instead of the same 5 stories for each team I can get a triple double and the announcers keep taking about Al Jefferson and his two subway sandwiches a day.

        21. If i'm scoring 20 points straight, can I please see a double or triple team? Tired of dominating. I want to feel the struggle of how can I score like players do in real life.

        22. If my team is up by 30 at the end of the 2nd, 3rd...Please let us have the option of taking ourselves out...I got so tired of being up by 20 and still having to play the 4th quarter...

        23. Better Collision/Non-Sliding System- If I am running full speed with a Lebron type players, I shouldn't get bumped back easily(especially against PGs). I want to be able to drive the basket without CPU sliding and stopping it easily. You dont see the Westbrook/Rose/CP3 pure speed/athleticism type of drives to the basket without the defender being slid out of position. Currently you have to have high dribble abilities to drive to the basket. I also want to see players split the double team more if they are good.

        24. Fastbreak- The obvious speed issue needs to be fixed. When I have a very fast player, I shouldnt be run down by a center. I should be able to burn them. Right now, I dont try to go for layups on fastbreaks at all because It would be either blocked or contested.

        25. Better crowd and commentator reactions. I don't want to see the crowd just wailing their hands or sounding the same all the time. Crowd should be trying to distract players when their shooting FTs for example. There needs to be more variety of things to make it seem more real.

        26. Have celebrities court-side

        27. Users can also choose between having their shooting shirts be either Jackets, long-sleeve or short sleeve or all three. All this stuff should also apply to the warm-up pants as well.

        28. Practice Gyms
        A. This feature can really apply to not just created teams but teams currently in the NBA .
        B. This feature should also be as creative when it comes to designing it as it was with the actual game courts .
        C. Oh, and dont stop there, take us even further and have us build weight rooms and locker rooms and give the players actual emotions as if we really were in a NBA practice gym.

        Pre-game gameplay:
        1) Warm-Up shots before a game
        - before any game being played, whether its quick game, association, my player etc. While the game is loading you can have your players from both teams take warm-up shots and then when the game is ready, you can choose when you want to play by hitting a specific button
        - and during this you can also see the crowd coming in and trying to find a seat to get ready to watch the game
        2) Starting line-up announcements
        - in the settings option, users can be allowed to choose between having a regular starting lineup introduction like this game has done recently, or they can have the starters have the introduction show that they normally have to make it feel more real

        Timeout gameplay:
        1) during timeouts when the user is not playing maybe you can add in some minigames, like have some random person shoot half-court shots or something

        The little things:
        1) allow more than 12 people to play:
        - this may seem weird but its better than looking at the bench and seeing that there are 3 empty seats just sitting there
        - maybe in the settings you can choose to have as many number of players play on a team from 12-15 players

        Playoff situations:
        - Just allow it so that the crowd can wear team colors and this can be changed in the create a team option ( What i mean is if a teams colors are blue, red, white users can choose to have the playoff shirts be either blue, red or white )

Mike Breen and JVG commentating, don't you want it like it is in real-life BANG! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FaCRBWfuAk0
        Real PA Announcers

-Glasses/Masks optional to put on players

-More shoe companies (ex. Spalding, Li-Nings, ANTAs, Under Armor, etc.)

Fouls- blatant fouls get no calls but phantom fouls get calls.

        Get rid of generic shoes

        Add Under Armour shoes

        Home/ Away gear options

        Better Tattoos

Let us pick our jerseys in ranked matches and online association

Change sound of the ball hitting the rim..Dallas Rims sound different then The Pistons rim...

Long 3 point shots in real life bounce off hard, in 2k they bounce short.

Tip rebounds that are tipped back out towards 3 point line to the point guard.

Sig animations that give players more realism:
I want to see Durant point to the sky each time he hit a three
Perkins complaining each and every foul with a mean mug
Wade on the ground almost each time on a lot of his drives to the rim , tumbling complaining after each foul
Kobe complaining to the refs about missed calls
Ibaka doing his Air Congo after a dunk
Westbrook animated after every dunk, holster when he hit threes
Garnett yelling to the crowd yelling at himself
Noah hype about getting a block
Heat players Wade, Bron, Bosh talking to Chalmers about a turnover
Deandre Jordan more hyped about a Blake Griffin posterization than Blake himself
In general players need to communicate more after play stops like a foul to discuss why things didn't happen

        - Sit down players during Full timeouts with more coach using the clipboard interaction with the players and keep the layers standing during 20's

        - Since all NBA players do this in real life, have players who have been subbed out of the game and are seated on the bench, wearing their warmup top to keep their virtual muscles warm and loose

Real Sweat and Hair! - Dirk's hair is weak.

        More on Court Chatter

Better Facial Expressions when slam dunking and getting physical in the paint

Let guys like Dirk Nowitzki start the season with short hair, and as it progesses, have their hair grow out like it does in real life. This would be great. Ask NBA players how they would like it to progress. If LeBron wants to make a joke to where he shaves it after 2 years or so in the Association, then so be it!

Be able to hire an agent to negotiate contracts or request trades. The better the agent, the more money you can receive, but will also cost a higher percentage of your paycheck. Include contract incentives and milestones. Your agent would also present you with all the offers from different teams if you become a top free agent.

Bring back crib mode. The more money you have, the better crib you can afford. Maybe you start out in an apartment, or a teammate's couch. You should only be able to visit the crib during home games. Be able to display all the awards that you have won.

Be able to watch something like sports center for the top 10 highlights of the night to see if you make it. There should be an achievement for reaching the top highlight.

Have scouting reports that you can read about your next opponent's tendencies so that you can prepare for the matchup.

Be able to meet with your coach or owner to talk about your role on the team, ask for more minutes, talk about the direction of the team, etc. You can be defined as the franchise player, part of the core, role player, or 6th man off the bench. If you're not on the same page then you can ask to be traded or ask for the coach to be fired.

The media should start rumors about you which affect your perception around the league. You can then address if they are true or false in interviews. This will tie in with the popularity/team chemistry attributes.

Be able to see how well your jersey is selling among the top ten in the league. Endorsements and popularity as well as playing in a larger market will help raise your sales.

Bring back D-League and Summer League with end of season awards for both.

Be able to receive invites from the NBA to participate in All Star festivities like the dunk contest and three point shootout. Receive money bonuses or raise your popularity by performing well.

New endorsement idea: Star on the cover of NBA 2K.

Other NBA players should be able to send you text messages. For example, congratulating you on a good performance or recruiting you to their teams. Imagine receiving a text from your favorite NBA player!

Option to choose from the beginning whether your player will be a lottery pick, mid first-round, late first-rounder, or second-rounder. That will determine your base attributes and type of career you will have. You can then either work your way up or down from there, depending on your performance in the combine and draft workouts.

-Like if a former player returns to their former teams home arena, they either get booed (LeBron) or cheered for (B-Roy)

-The crowd actually becomes more silent if an opponent made a big play like a nasty dunk/game leading three or serious injury happened on the court

        Coaches:

New ratings (Offense, Defense, Teaching, Emotion, IQ, Player-Coach [like coach getting along with their players], Potential, and Experience Level)

        Misc.:

-Create a shoe with shapes and color wheels (very hard to describe)

-The ability to change court colors (like CH2K8)/choose any court for create a team

-All NBA jerseys in Create a team

        -Hot Zones for created players

-MORE LAYUP PACKAGES FOR PF AND CENTERS!!!

        1. Vitals
This aspect is just fine, but one thing I'd think would really be cool is if the commentators would mention players' birthdays during the game. Like if a game is being played on a certain player's birthday, then it would be cool if they mentioned it and all.

        2. General
Weight should have certain effects on a player's abilities and should largely have a role in momentum. Muscle tones should be redone and include various types of muscle tones.

        3. Hair
Hairstyles have probably been a long standing issue, and rightfully so. There aren't too many good styles to choose from. I think 2K should dig into the archives (College Hoops 2K8 had good choices) and take hairstyles from there and look at different styles in general and make improvements. Now facial hair, I would like the ability to take pieces of different styles of facial hair and put them together. Then there should be a transparency option to increase/decrease how much facial hair is on the face and things of that nature. I'd like for the hair to look more realistic, and not just that painted on look.

        4. Player Gear/ Accessories
This is something I see that has great potential for improvement.

For every piece of gear, just like shoes, they should all have the ability to be customized by color with the color palette. It would be nice to have such things like grey knee pads, specific colored rubberbands, etc. The gear itself is great, only things I may add would be, the striped wrist bands a la Reggie Miller, wrist braces, facemasks, goggles, classic striped headbands, the ability to wear ankle braces on socks again, etc.

If you retire you should have a chance to come-back in the league or maybe become a coach or assistant coach, maybe even a scout. Then as the manager/coach you could change your team names, make trades, change your stadium location, etc. Have press conferences after games if you did something wrong or right, etc. Who likes? Even better, be able to be a commentator!! And make some money maybe or even REFEREE !! Then you get to go back home, sleep, go referee, commentate the next game you'd like to and you'd have to pay rent monthly and bills and stuff like real life. That'd be like you do in real-life. Pretty cool to me. More Hairstyles, Add Unibrows, More shoe endorsements, Ability to go top 10 picks and possibly 2nd round. Ability to not be drafted at all and play in overseas, have the ability to say what you want in the press conference, Be able to hire an agent to negotiate contracts or request trades. The better the agent, the more money you can receive. Include contract incentives and milestones. Your agent would also present you with all the offers from different teams if you become a top free agent. Interviews from like Doris Burke, on the court. Interviews in locker room if you lost. Have top 10 plays of week/month and if your on there you get to watch it at your crib, idk. Be able to meet with your coach or owner to talk about your role on the team, ask for more minutes, talk about the direction of the team, etc. You can be defined as the franchise player, part of the core, role player, or 6th man off the bench. If you're not on the same page then you can ask to be traded. Be able to see how well your jersey is selling among the top ten in the league. Endorsements and popularity as well as playing in a larger market will help raise your sales. Other NBA players should be able to send you text messages. For example, congratulating you on a good performance or recruiting you to their teams. Imagine receiving a text from your favorite NBA player! Be able to receive invites from the NBA to participate in All Star festivities like the dunk contest and three point shootout. Receive money bonuses or raise your popularity by performing well. D-League! + this comment if you like this Most ideas from me.

Put progressive sweat. Another thing I noticed if your like teams best player if you pick your 5th foul up in the 4th quarter they sit you the rest of the game. Definetely Reggie Millers striped bands. Kareems glasses, etc. Also be able to load a roster that you want to use in my player incase theres a major update like for example Lebron gets traded which would never happen. Have David Stern call you by the name or your nickname. Be able to customize your nickname like have Black Mamba, The Answer, etc. Game sliders for the newbies haha. And much more. Be able to edit players in the game to add facial hair / remove. In normal game how bout being able to see there face incase we wanted to make them in my player? Make the jersey real so it wont stay right to your body, make it move and stuff.

          Posted this on 2Ksports forums:

Bring back the street mode that was on the previous 2K games, like ESPN NBA Basketball or 2K5 where you could adjust the settings for the street and play in different venues. I miss doing double alleys. Street should be more arcade-ish and is fun to get away from the simulated feel from the actual gameplay.

Running off ball plays in MP is so damn frustrating when players running AFTER YOU can somehow steal your speed and momentum like Flash and stop you cold while going into some silly bumping animation.

Also annoying how you jog around the court instead of sprint or at least moving much, much quicker.

And I still can't play as a MP post player cuz the bumping moving from one side of the paint to the other to follow the ball or jsut avoid the other big is too much of a hassle. Even though I've finally started getting the rhythm to the post moves down.

There's also a glitch where the commentator thinks that a player grabbed a rebound even if he only tipped it or it bounced off his hands.

Look at the way Nash tries to step in front of Westbrook, and is actually able to avoid being fully screened, but he still gets picked off slightly, which allows Westbrook to turn the corner.

In 2K12, that's impossible, because the CPU screener won't adjust if the defender tries to anticipate the pick-- as you can see, the screener can legally move to an extent (there was a foul called on Nash in this instance), which Perkins does by trying to extend his body to give Nash a bigger obstacle to have to get around.

In short, the CPU needs to learn how to screen defenders even if they try to hop in front of the pick.

And to whoever said contesting jumpers shouldn't be automatic, look at this. Dudley reacts almost instantaneously to Durant's jumper. Dudley's hands go up to contest as soon as Durant's hands go up to shoot the ball.

There's no way we could react that fast, ESPECIALLY online. That's why I said that contesting jumpers like that should be automatic as long as you're in defensive stance. But, on the flip side, great shooters (like Durant) can easily make shots over defense like that, so if you REALLY want to deter them and decrease their chances of making the shot, you have to use the Y button and risk putting yourself out of position (but you'll get a heavier contest).

It was the same way in 2K7, and there was nothing wrong with it.

EDIT: Also, this way, the only real way to get an uncontested jumper would be to use a screen or to cross someone over so bad that they have to let go of defensive stance to recover, which is really the only times you'll see uncontested jumpers off dribble in real life.

There's no way we could react that fast, ESPECIALLY online. That's why I said that contesting jumpers like that should be automatic as long as you're in defensive stance. Well Sometimes players dont contest a shot tightly if it is a poor shooter on the 3pt. They would still get close to the player, but they wouldnt really go all out on trying to contest the shot. But, I think most of the time it is because they know they will most likely miss the shot and dont want to foul them.

I would like it to be tied to ratings/tendencies. So if a player has high shooting ratings, the defense should play tighter. The problem wasnt really contesting the shots, it was the CPU playing loosely on the perimeter. They would play off of good shooters if they had high drive tendency. They would do a horrible job of switching and recovering off of picks, so there was alot of open shots. Especially against big men who could shoot. It seems like the perimeter big men would always go off because of bad switching and opposing big men doing a horrible job of recovering.

I think the problem was they were so focused on stopping the drives to the basket. Most of the games, the cpu always does great from deep.

I was speaking about being able to contest shots as a human on-ball defender. It's impossible for us to react as fast as Dudley did for a number of reasons. I don't see why they abandoned the system that was in place in 2K7. The contest was automatic, yes, but it wasn't like that automatic animation guaranteed a miss. Not even close. If you want to come close to guaranteeing a miss, you have to jump.

                              Small Wants(dont expect) for MP:

-Bring back My Crib. I think it would be perfect for off the court. Where they could basically have you in the house and have options. It would make money mean something. Where you could upgrade your crib. It could show your awards.

-More Customization. More Hair/Facial hair. I would love some type of gameface, but I would never expect it. They improve on the CAP, but players still favor each other. More voices. More body types. The ability to choose 3 abilities to boost. Ability to choose a secondary position. The ability to choose what your pre-game outfits.

-Less press conferences after games. It shouldnt be after every game. It makes it very repetitive. It shouldnt just be about your player. I would love to see the teammates speak, but I wouldnt want to hear generic voices. I would like to get questions about teammates, future opponents, stats, overall thought of team.

                              - Be more acknowledged in the game. I dont want the presentation to solely be focused on my player. but I dont want to feel like I am not apart of the game. I want to be shown in the Half time Highlights, talked about in stat updates, talked about more in general. I dont want to only be talked when either I am going off and or struggling. I want to hear how I am effecting the team. Like, "Lately this kid has been on a roll. He has been a sparkplug on both sides of the court and the team likes that. He could/is be a star in the near feature." The thing is that when you start they acknowledge you(talking about getting 1st mins, 1st starts, shoes, and points). They just need to expand it.

                              - Be able to communicate with others players/coaches/gms/agent. I would like to get texts from other people. Like teammates praising you, opponents talking trash or giving you props, endorsements, coach telling you the game plan. Like, "Hey ___, congrats on getting drafted, but this is only the beginning. You have to work hard and make sacrifices to become great" or "You had a disappointing game tonight. You seemed to force the issue and disappeared at times. I expect to see you early in the morning in the gym tomorrow."

I dont expect any of these. But, it would go along way to making this mode great. These are depth ideas. MP should only just be about on the court. When it is, it puts more pressure on the gameplay to be great.

Then, maybe have def awareness actually mean something. Where having a high def awareness makes you react quicker.

I think Shoot in Traffic should be a bigger factor in contested shots. So, if you contest the shots against a shooter with low SIT, he is most likely to miss it. Right now, SIT is mainly used for contacted close shots.
