Re: Official 2k13 Wishlist Thread
- Add in a calendar simming option for MP like we have in association. Sometimes I don't want to play certain key games. (specifically certain rival games. It gets boring playing the same team 1 game after another).
- Let us ask our coach to take us out of the game or stop giving us so many minutes. Our My Players will play 44+ minutes if we "sim until subbed in" but the stars on our teams will barely even play 36 minutes. But that's tied into the rotation logic which I'll get back to.
- Let us have someway to dictate our My Player's tendencies if our gameplay doesn't affect them. Every time I sim a few games, even with my PF, the game makes me shoot a ridiculous amount of 3's despite the fact that I hardly every shoot them with any of my My Players.
- Coaches get fired much too often. I loaded up my PG My Player yesterday and I noticed that we fired Rick Adelman and hired Alvin Gentry. The reason this was strange was because we won a championship just the season before. We even broke the Bull's 72 win record. And even at that, when coaches are fired in the middle of the season, teams don't always find a replacement right away. Usually the assistant coach will be the interim head coach until the season is over. Coaches rarely if ever get fired after 1 season.
- CPU contract offering logic is horrendous. I see all of these mediocre, 29+ year old players getting these 4 and 5 year deals, decent players getting 40-50 million dollar contracts, etc. The AI needs to go off of more than just potential and even OVR. Let past production be a factor. And even with free agents, teams sign players at positions they are already strong at. I hate seeing the Cavaliers sign CP3 and having Kyrie be the starting SG or a backup PG. My team in MP traded for DJ Augustin and traded away all of our SGs so now DJ has to start at the 2 despite the fact that his natural position is PG.
- Now back to the rotation logic. The AI should take more than just OVR into consideration when adjusting rotations. As of now, the AI has no idea of what a good bench means, or the concept of a true 6th man. They think that every team runs a 12 man rotation and even the bench scrubs have to get minutes. Stars don't get enough minutes, and bench guys get too many. Age, production and position should all play a factor. But at the same time, I don't want to see anymore Blake Griffin starting at C every game and having DJ come off of the bench because Blake's secondary position is C and his OVR is higher than DJ's.

Re: Official 2k13 Wishlist Thread
Clean up online franchise. Fix draft schedule menu. Fix issue where players were playing for $0 contracts. More rookie player models (after a few years too many fictional players look alike).
Allow manual advance of schedule and game resets. Let admin allow users to drop and rejoin.
Copy madden Connected Carreers so we can run an Online Francise using My Player.Comment

Re: Official 2k13 Wishlist Thread
Ok...when you are on a fast break with a big man (center or p forward) the aways spot up for 3s instead of going to basket for a two on one layup.
Sometime when u hit the steal button the animation takes the player so far out of of position its unreal. There have been times where the offensive CPU has gone completely by me an the animation still has me jumping to steal the ball from nobody. Ridiculous!
I know ppl have said this one over and over but I hope 2k listens to this one cause its irritatingly stupid when it happens. When your bring the ball up the floor and as soon as u cross half court the CPU pushes you back court or the animation makes you back up (no awareness) causing a back court.Comment

Re: Official 2k13 Wishlist Thread
- Both the PG and SG shouldn't have to be in the backcourt when the ball is being inbounded after a score or dead ball. Come to think of it, unless there is a full court press being applied by two defenders, I don't think I ever see both the PG and SG waiting to receive the inbounds pass on every possessions.
- Speaking of full court pressing, the CPU should use it more sparingly. It's so predictable when they'll do it, and they will do it for the entire game if you're constantly up by 10+. It should take more stamina to full court press, and the CPU should recognize that and use it less often. Also, they should switch up their schemes. Maybe trap the ball handler at mid court to make someone else make plays. Just more fluid and reactive defense.
- Tone down the reaction times of CPU defenders. They never have to anticipate. Sometimes they'll even steal a pass literally the second it leaves your hands as if they were reading your controller. Same with blocks. They rarely go for standard pump fakes, and every defender jumps at the exact moment the user shoots the ball at the rim. They also jump towards the hand the user is shooting from every time.
- Give the user better moves to escape box outs. Any CPU defender can box out even my biggest and strongest players without fail, and they never forget to box out. Although players are taught to box out after a shot goes up, very few (especially perimeter players) actually do it on EVERY possession. But on the other hand, CPU players can break out of my box outs like it's nothing. They just jump right through me. What I'm saying is make the CPU defenders...less CPU like lol. They never miss a beat on defense. Every team's rotations are always perfect. Even teams like the Bobcats, Wizards and Kings go 110% on defense ALL the time. Even on a breakaway layup, they'll chase you down and try to block you.

Re: Official 2k13 Wishlist Thread
What gets me is when I get blocked out from the 3pt line. It only matters cuz the 2p box out animation is so damn hard to break out of. I understand keeping me off the offensive glass cuz I'm a fiend on those tip back slams, but my GOD, was this game dedicated to making it as hard as possible to freely move around the court. I don't need the CPU to ignore me entirely, but I shouldn't ever be in a situation where I can put the controller on the floor and do as much good as masshing on turbo or whatever.
Anyone else notice the odd over the back calls that sometimes happen when the player isn't even TOUCHING anyone?Comment

Re: Official 2k13 Wishlist Thread
I would like a slightly toned down 2k11's Pick N Roll. Not as powerful, but it was in another class compared to 2k12. I think the main reason of the decline is the sliding of the defensive big man once the PNR Handlers goes past the screen.
I dont know whether I want a change in controls, but I would like them to change up the pass modifier. I would like to manually do a bounce pass. But, I dont want to give up the flashy passes.
Double Teams needs to be fixed. I dont like calling a double team because the other defenders dont slide over to at least cover the open guy.
Definitely hope the defensive off ball bumping is toned down. Unless they make strength more useful, it doesnt need to be as powerful as it is.
More variety of contact steals and better pressure defense(not bumping). After watching the Olympics and seeing how Westbrook steals the ball, I want to see some of those. When I say better pressure D, I mean the defense that you see from Iggy or Westbrook, where you get all up in their face. Not the sliding and bumping back you see in this game. I want to see the defense between a Westbrook/Iggy from a Korver.
Something that I dont want to see alot, but happens IRL is contested 3s. I mean the ones you see Durant or Kobe make. I dont want it to happen that much, but it does happen. Shoot in traffic mainly only affects shots around the basket. It should affect jumpshots more.
I would like to see Ball Security improved. I dont see players with high ball security lose the ball the way they do. I dont like having a person with A Ball Handling get stolen from big guys like Jokim Noah or lose the ball when backing down in the post. To go along with that, I want to see more contact steals. Especially from teammate CPU players. I played with Shumpert as my teammate in my SF MP and he rarely stole the ball. I want to force my pick-ups by ball handlers.
Just add sliders for My Player. I liked that we choose difficulties. But, I want to be able have my teammates contribute in games. Difficulty only really affects how good the CPU opponents play. You can score 40+ pts on any difficulty. By the way, I am not the type to score 40-50 pts a game. I rather score 20 and have an all-around game. I dont care if the sliders were just for CPU. It would go a long way in my MP playing better.
I know they said they "fixed" the speed issue. But, I also hope they fixed the way CPU reacts when the user presses turbo. I should not, not want to push turbo when I drive to the basket. When you press turbo it triggers the CPU to slide. I would also like to not see the slow down on FB layups
It looks like most of my gameplay issues have been fixed. PNR should be better if the sliding has truly been reduced.
Now If they can fix progression, sign & trades/amesty cuts, trade logic, add sliders to MP, fix MP draft glitch and teammate AI then this game wont leave my console for monthsComment

Re: Official 2k13 Wishlist Thread
-‘Can’t handle the pass’ animation controls: I’m sure I speak for everyone here when I say we NEED some control over these. How about if you let go of the directional stick and turbo the animation ends sooner. Also, passing during the animation could have you do a lower accuracy shovel pass, similar to the mid-air pass. That way you can get rid of the ball before the D snatches it from your flailing, Kwame-like hands.
Same things should apply in those 'losing the ball while going to the hole' animations.
-Pass fakes while moving: Since they now made it harder to pass in the paint, I would like to be able to do a pass fake while moving that I could branch into a real pass or a layup. The controls could be pressing the pass fake button during movement, then quickly doing a flick flick-type thing into a shot stick layup or another pass. The D anticipates passes so much that this will be a way to make them pay for over anticipating. The layups after a pass fake could be lower percentage, and the 2nd real pass could be lower accuracy. Rondo has a pass fake layup, but I want total control over it.
-Avoid the bumping: If the d wants to bump me off the ball, maybe we can press turbo early in the bump animation to sprint out of it sooner and get some separation. It'll make him pay a little for playing me so close.
-More dunk controls: Contact dunks have always been automatic, so maybe give us control over the type of dunks we do so when we do get a dunk in someone’s face it’ll feel more like we did something. I’d like to have the ability to choose which hand to dunk with(like you can choose which hand to layup with) by pressing right or left and turbo. Also, pulling back and turbo could make you put the ball behind your head to protect it from forward blockers(doing that in the open court would result in the usual backwards dunk). Pressing forward and turbo would be the usual dunk.
I'd also like it if you had to do some 'special move' maneuvers for fancier dunks instead of them being automatic, like back then forward for a windmill or a Zangief Spinning Piledriver stick motion for a 360. That way more complex dunks are more rare and impressive when you pull them off. Bring back the rim hang dunk option, too. I liked that.
-My Player-specific commentary: The broadcast crew hardly mentions your My Player at all. It would be nice if they can talk about him just a bit; I’m working hard and I just want some recognition *sniff*. Maybe some general status commentary, like how he is doing his rookie year, what he can do to crack the starting lineup, if he is one of the best bench players in the league, if he should have been taken higher or lower in the draft, etc. If he is having a career game, mention how the rookie is growing up in front of their eyes and stuff like that. Then when he is more established, how he has improved, can he make the Allstar team, what he can do better, etc. Then when he is one of the best in the league, talk about him like they talk about some other Allstars. Also mention him among the league leaders in certain stats when that graphic comes up. Little comments like that will make the My Player really feel like he exists in the NBA instead of just a created thing.A1SwaggsmooveComment

Man a hundred points has already been done before. Thoses three guys don't care, it's just another day at the office for them. However if you had scored 101 points they would of stopped rambling about and would of went totally crazy over your unique performance.Last edited by Vni; 08-12-2012, 04:59 PM.Comment

Re: Official 2k13 Wishlist Thread
These should most certaintly be added to the My Player Game Mode.
Praticipate in Allstar weekend with our my player.
Make us able to change our my player's voice.
We should be able to live out not only our my players basketball carrer but his life as well.We should be able to drive to our games and practice and it show cutseens of practice and on the jet to the game. Also we should be able to buy houses and live in them etc etc.
When we create our my player he should start off in his last game of colledge basketball as a starter then he should move on to the rookie showcase or whatever 2k wants to go with.
Our my player should also be able to get drafted pick 1 pick 2 and so fourth all depending on how well you played in the rookie showcase or whatever 2k wants to go with.
I Sincerly hope 2k tries to add this to 2k13.Last edited by A1swaggsmoove; 08-12-2012, 06:00 PM.A1SwaggsmooveComment
