85 is a little high for playing only 3 games in the NBA. Nash level? He's not proven himself enough to be Nash level, but I think he could in the future. For the rating Im thinking maybe a 72 or 73.

Ricky Rubio is just a overhyped spanish kid ! why ? because he had 3 or 4 breakout games to push his name like he's the chosen one ! the result ? he's just a ordinary point guard with just a little bit better playvision than other european point guards at his age...comparing him to steve nash would be like comparing Yinka Dare to Dwight Howard

Ricky just an ordinary point guard? Damn did you watch the show against the heat? His court vision is possibly top 3 in the nba right now. He doesn't really put anything else in the table right now but if you know basketball you just need to watch 1 game to see that the kid's play vision and passing ability are something special.

By the way, did you know that Nash SUCKED when he was young and some people even were saying that he wasn't a nba player?

              Give Ricky some time

                Spoiler

this thread is a joke. Rubio should NOT be anywhere close to an 85, he is fine as is.

NO way!!!!! He is not nearly as good as Steve Nash, only in your dreams. Steve Nash is an amazing player and future Hall of Famer

I raised his passing to 89 (same as Calderon), defensive rebounding to 50 (by comparison, Rondo has a 53 defensive rebound rating, a higher offensive rebound rating and higher vertical) and I changed his speed to 85 (same as Steve Nash (who's old enough to be his dad). This raised his overall to 70, which is fine by me.

Rubio struggled in Europe. What makes you think he will be able to compete at the same level as Steve Nash in the NBA?

Rubio has some skills, he won't ever be an elite point guard like Steve Nash was though, or any of the other top point guards. I'd compare Rubio to a white Rondo, whose maybe a little taller. He'll never really be a scoring threat, he might put up 10-14 a game on average, but he might average around 10 assists a game. He's really a high risk, low reward type player. However, if he can get his shot down, he has potential to be pretty good. He has good court vision and has good hands. Only time will tell.

I like Rubio a lot, but no way should he be an 85. When has there ever been a rookie rated that high? Even though he's only a 67 he's still pretty good. In my association I'm averaging about 7-4-8 with him. If he was an 85 as you suggest he'd be destroying which he isn't exactly doing yet.
