Re: Rubioooo!!!!!!!!!
You are the one who don't know basketball, putting Rose PG abilities right next to Rubio's is an insult to basketball.
Rose is a phenomenal player, a freaking athlete and a great scorer, but he isn't a pure point guard and not even close to Rubio here
Now just sit back and watch how Rubio shuts your mouth in the next years to come, when he leads the league in assists by far.Comment

When he has a MVP award and leads his team to the playoffs come talk to me. It's a pure joke to compare Ricky Rubio to Rose. Rose will average more assists and points. What is a pure point guard? A guy who can't shoot? A guy who average 3.4 points per game off the bench in Europe? Get real, get some basketball IQ.Comment

And you said Rose (a guy who averages 6 assists in 40 minutes) will average more assists than Ricky? just LOL
And being a pure point guard has NOTHING to do with shooting ability, use your common sense and stop saying such a dumb thingsComment

Re: Rubioooo!!!!!!!!!
Ricky Rubio APR: 7.3
I'm done...with that part of my argument.
But, don't even mention Ricky Rubio in the same thought process as Derrick Rose. Yes, Rubio can pass, but that's about the only thing he has right now, other than moderate quickness and ball handling. AND, he plays ZERO defense.
Let Derrick play Rubio and we'll see who runs a team better.
And this isn't even bias. I just have the privilege of watching Rose night in, night out, so I see him skills on a nightly basis, rather than jumping on the bandwagon just because LeBron endorsed his passing skills.Comment

Re: Rubioooo!!!!!!!!!
Excuse me, maybe it's because Rubio has been a pass first pg all his life and Rose a shoot 1st pg, but Rubio passing abilities are better than Rose's. Nobody here is saying that Rubio is a best player (that'd be a nonsense), because Rose is in a level that Rubio can only dream of; but nowadays Rose's passing is average. If you can't see that then you are the one who don't know anything about basketball friend. If you like my work I appreciate any help: https://www.paypal.me/s3anbarkl3yComment

Re: Rubioooo!!!!!!!!!
So now being an MVP and leading the team to the playoffs equals to being a better point guard than someone? By your smart logic then I guess Shaq is a better point guard than for example Rajon Rondo?
And you said Rose (a guy who averages 6 assists in 40 minutes) will average more assists than Ricky? just LOL

Rubio is a passer first, basically because he has no offensive game to worth noting. Derrick Rose was a scoring guard, and he's just coming into his own, passing wise.
In all actuality, it's not even sort of fair to compare their passing ability because Rubio's been passing all his life. Dudes only averaged 10+points twice in his professional career in Spain.Comment

Re: Rubioooo!!!!!!!!!
Derrick Rose is averaging 9.9 assists per 40 minutes, to Rubio's 10.5. Last year, he averaged 8.2 assists per 40, to Rubio's 7.6 in Spain. Rubio isn't much of a better passer than Rose, according to your logic. Where you're getting 6 assists per 40, I don't know. Maybe his first two years in the league?
Call me crazy, but IMO is not the same an assist given by Nash that one given by Rose (or LeBron): when you are a double teamed guy and all you have to do is pass to the free guy on the corner is much easier...If you like my work I appreciate any help: https://www.paypal.me/s3anbarkl3yComment

Rose averaged 6.6 assists in 37 min his first 3 years, I wouldn't call that great, not even good. But I'm done talking with fanboys like you, who can't even admit the obvious. I guess you are right and the rest of the world, scouts , media experts and even nba players who are playing against him and comparing him to Steve Nas are wrong
So keep living in your bubble, Rose is a better passer and has better court vision than Ricky and Nash together. Are you happy now?Last edited by kingg d; 01-02-2012, 02:51 PM.Comment

I'm from Spain and I don't like Rubio, so I can be Kind of objective. When he played in FC Barcelona the last couple of years the team played a really slow pace where couldn't show his abilities at all, so T'Wolves game style is much better for him.
