and to the Rubio naysayers. I tell you this. this kids special, he's been special. and now he is gracing America with his specialness. He has IT. And he has a lot of IT. Larry Bird-like feel for the game, Jason Williams type flair. We are all witnesses. Get on board or get left behind the Rubio train. He will be better than Nash because in year 1 of his NBA career, he already is a better passer.
    gotta be young

    Larry Bird's feel?

NO! he is Jason Williams at best... flash over substance... in that game he had 12 6 and 12... D Rose just put up 29 8 and 16 against CHRIS PAUL who dropped 15 and 14 asst... thats 2 premier points goin at it and those are the stats that they put up against each other... do u believe Rubio could do that to any elite pg? If not...

better passer than Nash in 3 games?

His shot is a lot better than some of you are giving him credit for I've seen him make a few 3's so far this year and don't remember seeing him miss any. Sure he's hesitant to shoot but when he does they usually seem to go in.

Rubio is a gifted passer on par with the games elite passers. Anyone denying that is fool. It doesn't take several years of watching someone play to figure this out.

Obviously Rose is a way better SCORER and overall player, but any person with a minimum of basketball knowledge just need to watch 2 games of a rookie Rubio to see that he is a better pure point guard and ball distributor/passer than Rose would be in 3 lives

All these years Rose was only averaging like 6 asists in almost 40 min even when he is way faster, stronger, and probably a better dribbler than Ricky.

Ricky, despite his physical disadvantages is very capable of doing that in just 20 minutes, and he is on a new country, with a new team, new teammates and after playing just a short mini pre-season and training camp.

              Common sense

Definitely not NASHty. Reminds me more of a Rondo and Pistol combo. Nash is part of the 50-40-90 club. No doubt he has talent and court vision but until he can stretch the D he can't be compared to Nash.

Rubio is not that good, he is not quick, and his handles are adverage, he's a good passer but lacks quickness, handles, and offense that would make his passing skills even better.

                    Re: Rubioooo!!!!!!!!!

I'm a lifelong Bulls fan, but currently live in Minnesota. I've seen every Twolves game and Bulls game this year (along with almost all of them the past 10 years..), While Rubio may never be the scorer Rose is. . Rose will never be the distributer Rubio is. I don't know how some of you can just sit there and deny that this kid has got gobs of talent. I would pick Rose over Rubio every single time. But why do you guys have to compare those two? They play nothing alike. A more fair comparison would be Rondo and Rubio but thats still wayy off as Rondo is much quicker and better around the rim, while Rubio has a better jumper. I see Rubio as a 15 ppg 3 rpg and 10 apg type of guy going forth in his career.

I hate when people bring up overall ratings to justify who he should be rated against. I will give Rubio some credit his vision is high. He has shown elite passing skills so far but you can't say he should be on Nash level yet. Depending on how well he performs he may end up in the mid 70's

You my friend are a moron. Calderon and Rubio play NOTHING alike. I can guarantee you've never watched more than a games worth of Calderon and probably the same goes for Rubio. Calderon always makes the safe play and is a great shooter. You won't see Calderon passing BETWEEN Dirk's legs to the open 3pt shooter. And to say that Rubio doesn't play much D is laughable. Rubio plays a lot more like a young Kidd or Rondo than he does like Calderon.

And the White Chocolate comparisons are off base too. Williams would make a hell of a lot of flashy plays but even more dumb ones anyone that watched him play in Sacto would know that rather than the ones who just watched his Yinka Dare mixes. While Rubio plays with a lot of flair he will almost always make the smart basketball play.

never ever mention Ricky rubios name in the same sentence of Derrick rose ever again. Rubio doesn't have half the talent Rose has.

Nobody said he is a better player than Rose, but HE IS a better pure point guard BY FAR.

Rose doesn't even have a quarter of Ricky's passing ability , decision making , point guard skills an ability to run a team.

If a pg leads his team to the best record in the league I think it would be safe to say he can lead a team better then Rubio at this point
