The rosters aren't updated because, as far as I've read, those guys have been/still are on break. Ronnie is on break till wither the 9th or 19th, I believe, and LD2K had mentioned he was out of the office but he was forwarding things to the devs.

That would lead me to believe that the 2K insider was on break as well.

I think these guys are entitled to a holiday break, guys. It's only been like a week since we had an update, and that was between Christmas/New Year. I think we should be grateful we even received an opening day update around Christmas time anyway, honestly.

But, they could've did more damage control by mentioning they wouldn't be able to update due to being on a holiday break. That part's on them.

Allow me to rephrase:

How do you know that the signings have been ratified by the league. You can't just go about as if every signing you've read or heard about is official just yet.

If a player is playing in an NBA game, it seems pretty official to me. There would be no way in hell that a player playing in a regular season game hasn't been approved. A player has to be legally signed to perform for an NBA team.

this might be true but im not gonna even trip anymore about it the dev team will upload a roster update either when they get back from break smh or later on this week smh which means no ol association yet and when i play with my bulls online more folks will be using heat and okc due to their rosters being pretty much set.
also dont be surprise when we get the roster update when might have to goto 2kshare to upload about seven or eight missing players DNA model so we can start our association off right

They need to starting adding all the new tattoos on everybody to. But this is getting to be a joke with no roster update and still like 40 players missing from the game.

LMAO they need a break, whatever. It is their job to complete the product they created. Absolutely no reason why these rosters whould not be up to date as of now.

Wow Smh at some of you people. You guys act like it's 2k fault there was a lockout, and then act like it was 2k's fault the season started on a Holiday. I want an update also so I can play my association. But come on it's the holidays and you ppl act like they don't need a break and to spend time with their families. I'm not defending 2k because I feel the rosters should be updated also but I also understand. End of the day it's a video game and it's not life or death. Play something else til you know the rosters are completed instead of complaining every day. Relax they will update the rosters. Only been a couple of weeks without an update and it's the holidays so I'm not stressing it because I can understand.

For the people who say whatever they don't need a break because their product is incomplete I disagree b/c its not completely on 2k. They had to wait til contracts were signed and for permission from NBA to put players in the game. Man a game this great with nothing but hate and complaints I don't get it. Go play Madden and then talk to me about being pissed and disappointed with a game and company.

Yes 2k dropped the ball with some things but this roster situation is not all on 2k and you ppl need to chill.

I can't believe people are using the "these guys deserve a holiday" line so much.......

There was a two month lock out........they basically had two months "off". No roster updates, no player movement. Nothing. Post release for two months they had nothing to update. These guys weren't flat out all day.

It's not "too much" to expect that they could have used this time to create new player models / at least 'prepare' for when the season started.

Anyone who knows me will know I have supported 2K since day 1......but these guys have got complacent. Ignoring the double team problem...out of date rosters........this is the stuff they just never let happen before. They were always on the ball.

Lack of competition / success has gone to their heads = Complacency.

To be honest i feel if 2k went to break with ronnie going to london and ld2k talking about la every sec. i would have just thought they would have gave us a notice of such saying no updates for about a week or so most of us would have been fine with that. my father is a business owner for the past five yrs now and even he cant afford to have an off day and he owns a small resturant seeing and 40 to 50 customers a day 2k on the other hand had big sales this yr to the point they didnt try to switch the servers at first from last yr because they thought this game would be a major choice this yr b4 the season started ronnie stated that they had All rookies and would throw them in when they sign so even if ronnie was lieing 2k dev team at least three weeks to cover things up. just think if myself my father and the rest of my family called off from our business for xmas for 2days fine but for like a week with no note on the door or anything giving my customers accuse makes me look like a fool for the most part customers would talk and fade away from your business so this must come down to money dont forgot 2k is still reaping money from the dlc last month and from new 2k gamers that just bought the game due to the late start of the season i've heard from donnie moore (update roster guy) for madden that roster updates our a bonus and he does not half to do this ronnie & 2k probably feel the same way. SMH

I 100% agree with you. From the state of the game , rosters, nba2k.com site, etc etc its clearly a decline from recent years. Either they have slacked off due to EA not releasing a game this year OR they just dont care because they couldnt finish the game by deadline. Either way its unacceptable and this is coming from somone who has played this series for longggggggggggg time
