Still, LMAO at all the people on here kissing 2K's butt. You are the customer fools. It should be the other way around. Holiday breaks are non sense when you have an unfinished product.

Unfinished? LOL. That's a good one. People seem to forget that these roster updates are an extention of the game, but not the game itself and on that note, 2k has more than delivered with at least 5 roster updates within a two week span. Now would I like Chandler Parsons on the Rockets roster so I can start my franchise? Sure, but I can live with the reassurance that he will be added soon enough. In the meantime, I'm enjoying the other aspects of the game such as online, NBA Today and NBA Legends modes. These fools with this "What have you done for me lately?" attitude makes me wonder if they've ever experienced even the minimum amount of adversity in their lives.

Also, can somebody list just how many second rounders besides Parsons made NBA rosters so we can all see how ridiculous some people are over a handful of players?

I'm not giving 2K any awards for delivering 5 roster updates in 2 weeks. That amount of updating was mandated because of the rapid signing and trading going on it's not like a regular year where one trade goes down and 2k can wait a couple of weeks.


Also no matter what you say this is not an "extension of the game" so to speak like a patch or DLC. Up until the last 2 weeks we've mostly been playing with last years rosters and hadn't received launch rosters yet so by your logic if 2k13 launches with this years final roster we should consider ourselves lucky and if 2k happens to get around to updating the rosters to launch status they're going above and beyond the call for us?

This will all most likely will get sorted out very soon but don't act like this is an unreasonable complaint by the people in this topic. I know at the end of the day its just a video game but at the same I think many people are just tired and frustrated of playing with legends and such and are ready to play the long term modes with accurate rosters and get there full 60 bucks out this game.

dude u r crazy !!! they have a total of 20 2nd round rookies missing and an additional 15 players who made rosters !!!! 2k sucks !!! all of whom made rosters signed contracts and are playing now

Im not following every NBA team but I know just my Celtics are missing two players and Greg Stiemsma is playing major minutes and is playing an important role with the team. He's also starting since Jermaine O'Neal is out. There are other teams with missing players as well, and I mean guys that are actually getting minutes.

I think what people are upset about is that we were lied to. 2K made promises that they haven't delivered on. They said adding the rookies would be seemless, that they were already in the game and ready to go. But that hasn't been the case. They also advertised this "2K Insider" nonsense and daily roster updates. What we got instead was a very incomplete Christmas Day update and not a word on any update since. It's been nearly 2 weeks since the season began and people can't even use a guy like Andrew Bynum.

Is this the biggest travesty in the world? Of course not. Far greater things are going on in the world. But we as the consumer have a right to complain when we were promised something and 2K Sports won't even give us an explanation why they can't deliver. If you bought a product off a store shelf and got it home and opened the box and things were missing you would be upset and take that product back to the store. Why should it be any different just because it's a video game?

The fact is 2K Sports is giving themselves a black eye. Here we have a great game that has been improved since the patches. But people want to start their Associations. 2K Sports is acting like they don't care about their customers. I've been buying their games since the Dreamcast days. If they are going to continue to lie and then cover it up I won't ever trust their marketing gimmicks ever again. I may think twice before I plop down another $60 for one of their games.

Those of you guys sticking up for these guys must work for them.

I'm sorry but the holidays are no excuse. They knew the NBA would be starting. They had a month to prepare. Not only that but they knew the lockout could end any day. They should have been ready.


We have guys that great as roster updates and are doing this stuff for free on their own time. The only thing is they have to use created players. But if these guys can make roster updates on almost a daily basis, what is wrong with the "NBA Insider?"

I don't even expect daily roster updates. I would be happy with a weekly update. But to have one roster on opening day that wasn't even complete and nothing since? That's unacceptable.

Any other week I'd be right up with you guys complaining about the lack of an opening day roster date. But I'm not going to get on 2k's back for the lack of updates during the holidays. Some of you say that 2k should have been prepared beforehand. Perhaps, but who knows what other factors go on behind the scenes before a roster update is approved? I think some of you assume that it's as easy as pushing a button. Until then, 2k should be given some benefit of the doubt. If there's no update by this week, then we should talk.

Yeah, I like how they advertise 'up-to-date', and then leave it hanging.

They shouldn't have put out so many 'weak' updates, and done one a week, or updates that's actually worth something. Instead it's just lip service. they just say what they want to hide, or what they aren't (or can't) do.

2K (Opening Week): 'Oh, no rookies...it's ok, we'll start adding them daily, as they trickle in'

2K: <holiday season,="" opening="" week=""> Live rosters, folks! Hey we got 'some' rooks in. No 2nd rounders, but hey look, we've removed some guys who'll probably be in the league later this year. So, you won't get to add them to anyone's roster, since we took them out of FA list. Isn't that awesome!!! Oh, and look, we've even put in Injuries, so you can play 'NBA Today'. So, Bynum will really be out for the Lakers...just like real life.

2k buyers (Week 2): <week 2="">Thanks for killing my FA list. Where's the new players (2nd Rounders, Missing Players - you know...ppl who PLAY!!!)? It's also awesome that you cared so much about realism, that you took OUT Bynum, but now he plays for 2 games back already, and he's still 'out' in the roster. Pretty weak...you knew the exact date he would return. You can't program that in? That should be an auto-change, that could occur while ppl ARE on holiday. And...numbers are still wrong for some players...<smh>

2k seriously needs to remove the SIGNATURE DUNK option. The whole notion that you can assign them to your player is a bit redundant when alot of those dunks offered fit well into alot of the NBA players...but for some reason 2k still doesnt want to add it into their dunk packages. Theirs a windmill that belongs to LBJ, couple of tomahawks that should go to Derrick Rose, and a bunch load that should go to J Rich and JR Smith.

Whats the point of having unused dunk animations when clearly they belong to NBA players?

Not only should the next roster update include all missing players, it should include art to fix Clippers, Knick, Magic blue colors which are just awful in the game. They said they were able to add art, so they better perform as the game needs lots of fixing including court designs, player's hair, accessories and on and on. The way 2K is working right now, 2k13 won't be a midnight buy for me.

I wonder that too,I would like to see Jerome Jordan of NYK,I know for us PC players that won't be a problem,modding community is far stronger than 2k's...I wonder also what next update could look like...and hopefully next update will close this thread for good
