The Pistons are an impossible task until you can get out from under Villanueva and Gordon's contract. And they just paid Tayshaun for no real reason. You're stuck waiting until their final year. Then you can trade them as expiring contracts. Until then, who in their right mind would take them? It's too bad because they've got a surplus of small scoring guards who don't defend and don't distribute. Teams would kill for those!

Re: Bedwardsroy19 30-Team Control Association Guide/Discussion
Ok I am DYING here with my Pistons. After getting raped 106-62 by the Blazers at home I'm really looking to make some moves with this team...which with all the ridiculous contracts pretty much seems impossible lol.
One player I'm particularly interested in would be the Hornets Chris Kaman since Detroit is interested in him IRL (albeit alot of reports saying that unless it's a 3-way trade the asking price is too much) and he's originally from Michigan. SO...anyone have any ideas to get this deal done somehow relatively realistically?
Chris Kaman
New Orleans Receives:
Charlie Villanueva
Jason Maxiell
Will Bynum
Detroit's 1st Round Pick (Possibly Protected)
The Pistons get a true center in Kaman and can finally move Monroe down to PF where he is supposed to be. They also get rid of C.Villa who did absolutely horrible in Detroit and may be able to revitalize his career somewhere else.
The Hornets get a PF that can shoot the ball well and be a back up and possible starter if Landry leaves in the off season. They also get a good PF/C in Maxiell to back up Okafor. Then to top sugar coat the deal they receive Bynum who can be a spark plug off the bench in the very limited PG position. And if you want you can add in a 1st round pick..possibly protected.
Line Up Detroit:
Knight
Gordon
Prince
Monroe
Kaman
Line up New Orleans is basically the same, just throw in Landry stating or Villa whichever you prefer.

Re: Bedwardsroy19 30-Team Control Association Guide/Discussion
In the "free agency period"(pre-season) and with the mavs i amnestied marion and traded odom to detroit for basically nothing so i could sign DERON WILLIAMS!! Last season DEN signed Wilson Chandler to a 1 yr deal. This off-season he signed with the defending champs OKC. Kevin Garnett signed with ATL. Joe Johnson got amnestied and signed with the Suns. After a one year stint in cleveland, JR smith signed with detroit. The young Pacers are looking to get back to the finals after getting swept by OKC. Using swaggercoach's progression system, Paul George went from a 77 to an 84. Just a recap of the end of Year 1.Comment

Re: Bedwardsroy19 30-Team Control Association Guide/Discussion
To be clear, what exactly is amnesty mean? In the guide it pretty much says you can change the players following year of his contract to 0 so you won't be "charged" for releasing him. Does that also work with trading? Say I used it on Charlie V, would that make his contract more appealing to another team or is it really not used in the sense of trading him...just a matter of releasing him without a penalty (which I don't really want to do this early in the season anyways)?
Sorry for all the questions...NFL is definitely more of my bread and butter but I've enjoyed the 2k games for the past few years and I'm a more casual basketball fan IRL.Comment

Amnesty doesn't transfer over from team to team. I can gaurantee you a team isn't going to trade for someone only to use amnesty on him. That would be really dumb on their part lol. Each team can only use amnesty on a player once forever. So the Magic for example used it on Gilbert Arenas, so they will never again be able to use amnesty on a player from here on out. AND it must be a player who is under contract PRIOR to the new cba rules(this season). Hope that helps!Comment

Re: Bedwardsroy19 30-Team Control Association Guide/Discussion
Need some clarification. I've found guys like Kevin Love who say they are ready to resign ASAP, but don't show up on the contract extension page. Is there any way to sign them to a new deal other than just editing their contracts? I know in past 2k games, there was no specific contract extension screen, but guys who were willing to negotiate had it as an option on the GM Roster page.Comment

Playing a Kings association and just wanted 2 get some opinions on a way I could trade DeMarcus Cousins away and keep it realistic. Id like 2 get a veteran presence an im not high on draft picks and i like Tyreke at point. Any suggestions?Comment

There it shows Kevin Love's new contract irl. Editing contract is the best way to do it unfortunately if they dont show up for contract extensions screen.Comment

Re: Bedwardsroy19 30-Team Control Association Guide/Discussion
Would be extremely hard to just trade him ONLY because his salary is only 3mil. A good veteran or two like your wanting would be way over 3mil so you'd have to match salary all together. So if you wanna trade him, decide who else you'd get rid of too.
Honestly the Kings are in pretty good shape wit who they have as long as you let them progress. The only one I'd personally want to trade is Salmons, but really don't see anyone wanting him. He's only averaging 9ppg in 28min in my association too so he's not very productive either.Comment

Yea i hear ya. Im gonna look here in a second at what i might be able 2 do. Sometimes its just personal prefernence who u want on your team and im not a Cousins fan so i wanna get rid of him. Ill check out a few salarys and ill come back on and post what ive come up with for a trade. Im deffinitly missing a piece or 2 that allows me 2 really contend in the West. How is Evans doing in yours?Comment

Interesting...I live in Sacramento so I love making the Kings contenders lol. I agree that you would need to deal Salmons but his contract is too much for any team. On a side note; If you play with or against the Kings in Year 2 make them wear the Royals jerseys since they'll be the Anaheim Royals in 2013. From an insiders perspective, I know they're not getting a new arena in Sac.Comment
