While we are on the subject of Howard, how realistic do you think it is that he will be a FA? I can't really think of any good trades outside of sending him to LAL but honestly would prefer to have him somewhere else. I kind of lean towards letting him hit the FA market but I also hate to leave ORL with nothing.

I think im gonna let Dwight hit FA in my assoc. Ill run a random number generator between Nets, Magic, with maybe like 15 percent to Mavs. Their GM doesn't seem like he's gonna let go and dwight is already the man in orlando, really couldnt see him in another uniform.

I kind of get that feel too. Otis Smith seems like the type of guy who will be stubbern and refuse to trade Howard. (and get fired for it after Howard leaves lol)

Yea plus i don't think Howard really knows what he wants, hes just pissed his team sucks all the while 29 teams are on their knees for him. At the end i think money is gonna make the difference. Although in my assoc. i kind of want him and d will to go to dallas.

Love the excel sheet. I also added a tab that includes info about foreign draft picks that teams take and then "stash overseas" (aka just leave in free agency) so I can keep up with who owns their rights when doing trades or finally bringing them over and into the league.

All I did was make a duplicate of the Amnesty tab and put "foreign draft picks" instead of Amnesty.

So approximately 35 games in I decided to pull the trigger on the Dwight Howard deal. The Lakers were 14-22, the Rockets 15-21 and the Magic a woeful 14-23 and last in the conference (lot of parity in both conferences, which seems to be a yearly 2k issue). I did the trade referenced a couple pages ago with Howard, Turkoglu, and Thabeet going to the Lakers, Gasol, Reddick, and Blake going to the Rockets, and Bynum, Martin, and Scola going to the Magic. The Magic got out of Hedo's contract, got a young center to replace Howard and got a pretty decent big man in Scola.

Now my question is if anyone has any ideas on moving Glenn Davis. With Bynum, Ryan Anderson (signed for 3 more years), Scola, a developing Orton, and even Earl Clark, the Magic just don't have the minutes for Davis and he's got a 4 years at 6.5 million a year.

I can't open the file in Excel for some reason, this weird code shows up.

You may have to download an update for your version of excel. I have the office 2004 version and I had to download something so I could convert the file to be compatible with my version. Excel prompted me to do, so I can't really tell you where to get it or what it was. I clicked on the excel prompt and followed the directions on the page it sent me to.

Hey guys one thing I added was a league wide injury report to go along with the other injury report. This shows every injury for the whole year and what the teams record was without them. Any other things we could add?

You mean the actually NBA injury report?

I think a lot of people are doing injuries in different ways, that's why I didn't include something like that in the template

Well I use yours then I also keep track of every injury from the first to the last all year. And keep teams records, while the injured players are out. I will also add a standings with home and away splits and against teams over/under .500 just so I can keep track when I create a new one for year 2 I will always have year one to look back to.

Anything else we can add to cover anything, throw out ideas!
