Yeah Philly does get robbed, only reason I gave any thought to it was that Philly is terrible in my association and the Bulls aren't the powerhouse they should be. It struck me as more interesting than Howard to Jersey for Lopez, but it's probably because we've all seen 5000 different versions of that trade.

Re: Bedwardsroy19 30-Team Control Association Guide/Discussion
OK Guys, need some trade advice here.
I'm doing a 30 team association, but "my" team is the Celtics.
Well, we are rolling up towards the All-Star break and sitting pretty well at 2nd in our conference. About a month back, I lost KG 4-6 Weeks and then Brandon Bass for 2-4 Weeks, leaving my frontline very, very thin.
However, something great came out of it. JaJuan Johnson has become an absolute terror for me when I slid him into the starting role. In 13 starts so far, he is averaging 21.4PPG and 6.5RPG to go along with about 1.3BPG. It's insanity, kind of how Lin has come out of nowhere.
Anyway, it got me thinking that because I have Johnson locked up to his rookie deal of 4 years at about 800k a year, I would like to trade Brandon Bass before the deadline to make more minutes for Johnson to have. I'd like to trade Bass to a contender and maybe get a nice SG to replace Allen, who announced he is retiring at the end of the season, or maybe a decent draft pick.
Any thoughts from anyone here?
BTW, the standings are pretty close to real life, no real surprises. Just so you know who are the contenders.Comment

would also get 2012 first rounders from Orlando and Chicago and 2013 first round pick from Chicago, 2013 2nd round pick from Orlando.
In my association Orlando is struggling and currently 7th in the East, but they have been playing better lately. Chicago has been up and down, currently 5th in East and a half game back of Indiana for their division and the 4 seed. Philly is 3rd from last in the East and struggling pretty bad, unfortunately for them 2k doesn't value a strong all-around team with no real stars, so they are kinda screwed.
In this trade Chicago is the clear winner getting both Howard and Iggy but they do give up 3 starters. Orlando gets Boozer to provide inside scoring and defense from Deng along with Hawes and Lou Williams. Philly get the shaft players wise taking on just Hedo and Noah but get 2 additional first rounders in the stacked 2012 draft and another 1st in 2013 giving them 5 first round picks they can use to rebuild or trade for players.
Not that I will be doing this trade, but it certainly would make things interesting and seems more 'fun' than trading Howard to New Jersey IMO.
One possible change that would still make the trade work and give Philly a little more and balance thing out a bit would be Iggy to Orlando instead of Chicago and Deng to Philly instead of Orlando.
Could also tweek it so Chicago has to take on Hedo and his terrible contract and Philly gets Duhon to be the back-up PG to Holiday.Last edited by qpc123; 02-10-2012, 01:24 AM."You come at the King, you best not miss..."Comment

Here's the trade I did with Nash you might wanna take a look at.
Miami gets: Nash
Phoenix gets: Chalmers, Mayo
Memphis gets: Mike Miller, Maimi 12' 1st rd pick
My season is differen though as Phoenix was the worst team in the NBA(record wise) before the trade, and the Grizz were well out of playoff contention as well.Comment

Re: Bedwardsroy19 30-Team Control Association Guide/Discussion
I swear that when they were updated to 2K Share they come up with mixed up contracts... I spent so much time on making sure they had the right contracts and people come left and right saying they are wrong, but I have the right contracts for them on mine. Not sure if its a weird 2K share thing or what.
Oh wellComment

Re: Bedwardsroy19 30-Team Control Association Guide/Discussion
The website I used is exactly the same as the one you used, to do them on your own, Ive talked with Irish about it. With that being said both sites switched all the values for contracts a couple weeks into the season (after my release) so its a moot point
What I am saying is it didn't really matter what I had it on apparently because when they download off of 2K Share people got different values. I've seen it first hand when my roommate downloaded the rosters. 2K Share is messed up this yearLast edited by bedwardsroy19; 02-10-2012, 02:34 AM.Updates on Twitter: 2KstauffComment

No what I am saying is two people have had the same roster but different values for players contracts. Thats what I am saying.

Wow the D12 to Chicago trade completely made it so everyone blew right past my post lol....
Anyone care to go back and read it, maybe make a few suggestions for me?
I was thinking maybe shipping him to Memphis for OJ Mayo or New Jersey for Anthony Morrow.
Possibly, I could ship him to New York for Landry Fields or Iman Shumpert... especially considering Lin's meteoric rise.
Thoughts are much appreciated.Comment

AGHHHH, still banging along redoing most guys ratings/tendencies after my first year of Assoc. This offseason stuff ain't no joke with the setting the draft up, doing FA, figuring out some trades etc. etc. and then doing all this reediting (thanks 2k). Think I'm gonna play a lot more games this coming season lol... I like all the offseason stuff a lot but this is mind numbing.

Tough call, I might just hold on to Bass because you'll need him next year if you let KG go. I'd save my money and try and get Eric Gordon (RFA) from New Orleans. Probably have to give him a HUGE deal though so it's up to you.
If you're dead set on dealing Bass though (think his salary is round 4 mil) you could look at Portland. They're kind of thin up front and they've got plenty of depth at guard with Nolan Smith or Elliot Williams being your targets imo. I think Williams has a lot of potential he just won't get to use it in Portland. I edited him myself cause of the potential I see in him. To each his own though.Comment

Re: Bedwardsroy19 30-Team Control Association Guide/Discussion
Dunno if the Celts would wanna take on that contract instead of having room in the next year's FA. Also the Kings are already pretty filled up in the front court (barring injuries) with Hickson, Thompson, Cousins, and Hayes.Comment
