2k needs to be a lot clearer on some things....just figured out how to effectively play the 3 point shoot out...and it's actually pretty fun...

If I wasn't bored and tried it again, I would've considered the mode broken, and I'm sure others already have...

Game is money. You just have to know how everyone plays. If you do you can run anyone off the court with any team. I just got done playing the celtics and after half-time paul pierce just started getting his way to the high post and hittin mad shots. BUT THOSE ARE EASY FOR HIM IN REAL LIFE! It's realistic. If you think the ai burns you it's just because you don't know how they play in real life. If you know how to use the heat you should never lose. Lebron can hit threes from one spot and one spot only just like in real life. I never used to hit threes in 2k but now if the person can shoot he will make them.. IF HE IS IN HIS HOT SPOT. Im waiting till roster release to start a season.. gonna see if i can do create a legend with Allen Iverson, whom by the way is the most accurate he has ever been in any basketball game ever. Remember the days on live 2000 and nba 2k(him on the cover) that you couldn't use him because he was too little to drive and his shooting percentage sucked(which it did in real life) but in this game if you know how to get him open then bam! Aaron Mckie and Raja Bell are on point too, shoot everyone is. Now the legends thing is just because everyone wants money (ala romney style).. But they should just get rid of teams and have players. The offensive rebounding is ridiculous and you need to turn it down no matter what level for the computer, they still pass like crap when someone is cutting(unless your'e the computer) and the fatigue is wayyyyy out of wack. You gotta lower those too, other than that game is money. Online moves really fast too, anyone else notice no scoreboard during online games in the corner??? I played a dude and he hit pause more than a dude wacking off to law and order.. (whhhaaatt)

I'm going to try and be as objective as possible here: 2K13 is the best sports game ever!

Firstly the new ISO motion is fantastic. As someone who struggled all the time in previous iterations, I can finally do hot steps, crossovers, spins and connect them with dunks and picks and it feels fantastic! Beluba actually read my mind in my struggle.

Presentation is brilliant, the commentary is probably the best there is (maybe a little too much chatter at times but the best this generation). Soundtrack wise, well I love Jay-Z so for me its the best there ever has been but I can see why someone who is not a fan of the genre or artist can feel a little.."overwhelmed" by Jigga's presence (never thought I'd ever say that on OS).

And here's something 2K needs to be really proud about, the online! Unlike last few years, its smooth, often lag less and easier to find opponents. 2K's servers work smooth even with a lowly 1.5MB connection (tested this!).

The animations this year look as realistic as ever, the players move smoothly and with some amazing looking fluidity.

Gameplay, reminds of me a much better version of 2K11 (which I loved!), the AI has definitely got some improvement (IMO), everything has been made easier to execute, plays work out brilliantly and watch out for some really brutal games up ahead against the COM.

This year has been the best year for sports games in a long time, we have had the always terrific The Show, the best Madden this generation and the Goliath of awesomeness that is FIFA (there's also space in there for PES) but IMHO, 2K13 is king and I still don't know how they keep on improving.

Love it, best game (leave alone sports title) ever!

What's the go with the "Coach Mode Active" banner during the game this year!?! It takes up the half the friggin screen and is totally annoying. Do we really need something that size to tell us we are in Coach Mode?

I'm actually enjoying the Dunk Contest. The "Guitar Hero" system might not be satisfiying in terms of you making the dunk but I always jump off my seat whenever I make a dunk.

I have been playing a lot of head to head private online matches especially with retro teams. The dissapointing thing with players looking generic without accessories or distinct shoes is sometimes you will pass the ball to someone open for jumpshot thinking its someone else. But you already started your release ahead of time only to find out its a different player.

ONLINE: HOF/SIM 6-8 Min Qtrs

I only play ONLINE so I'd have to say that the game has the potential to be very good but just as last year some of the same LAUNCH problems exist:

1. Offensive Rebounding is terrible...Too many Offensive rebounds
2. 3pt % is way too high and its too easy to shoot 3's
3. The game pace is too helter skelter...Things need to slow down a bit
4. Control is a lil wonky
5. The jury is out on the new control scheme...I'm using it exclusively but just not sold all the way on it.
6. No need to run plays just dribble around like a fool and force something in the paint.

Overall... I like the bones of the game...It just needs refining to be a solid online experience...When I play my stable of dudes that keep it real the only glaring problem is OFFENSIVE rebounding.

Come on 2K...get this OONLINE part of the game right and quit half-steppin...Every year the same ****...It takes 2 months for them to finally get the game right online...or at least to an acceptable play level

A patch/tuning is greatly needed.

Easy fix, don't play hall of fame...

Some people are getting way out of line with all the "gangster" and "ghetto" talk about the presentation. Even though I'm not a huge fan of it, it's not gangster nor ghetto looking. Most of you don't even know what a real gangster is or what a the ghetto look like.

Are people not watching real NBA games because more and more teams have up tempo offense and will run any chance they get. Even the spurs will push the ball more these days. I think people may have been stuck in video game world and not watching the real thing.

Nah, there is a big thread in the main forum called CPU offense. After a defensive rebound, the offense, as described above, goes into Helter Skelter mode and transitions into a FB, while your defense is stuck in mud. Pared said this was a bug last year, but if you hurried back on D, the offense would set up a play.

This year, if you get back on defense, the offense doesn't try to set up a play, it still is in FB mode.

Sure, some teams run uptempo offenses, but not the whole game. I still see the Heat and Bulls run plays.

It's making the game unplayable.

Hrmmm. I'm trying VT's roster and slider set and although the CPU (In this case the Lakers) is looking every opportunity for the fast break I've made them pull it back out a couple of times.

They usually also feed Dwight when I make them pull it back out so far.

This is using the rosters that came with the game, not custom rosters. Check out the thread, CPU offense question in the main forum.
