    Overall I like this game better than 2k12.

    But here are some negatives about the game. I play a lot of my player, but I don't like the unrealistic stats and scores. I play 8 minute quarters and the scores are ridiculously high. Maybe because I play for the Nuggets, but they still seem to be crazy. Also my camera doesn't save and I guess they removed auto plays/play vision.

    Offline the game plays really good for the most part though and I really like 5 on 5 this year offline. But I'm playing online quick games now to get VC points. And I have to say that online play is a mess. lol You can really see the speed issues online. Help defense and closeout speed is overpowered, too fast, and really unrealistic. I find that a lot of cheesers take advantage of turbo and the slow pass and catch animations. Passing is still an issue. It's a shame what 2k has done to icon passing.

    Also there are no consequence for dumb shots. Shooting percentages are too high. Also offensive rebounds need to addressed as well. There is also a glitch with the scoreboard disappearing where I have to keep pausing the game just find out time and score. This is annoying. If it weren't for VC I wouldn't even play online games, because the game play is well...OFF!!!

      you mean 2k12, lol.

      dude you can have plays run. go to options on the main mycareer menu and select "run plays" to on. also, go to presentation and set the play diagrams for all/user plays and set the playvision to full (if you want it, rather than lite).

        The presentation is starting to grow on me a bit. Like when they play "Whose world is this" and the pre-game stuff shows the basketball as a world. pretty nice.

            Yeah I meant 2k12. Lol. I know that you can do that. But in 2k12 they had auto plays. So are you saying they have auto plays in 2k13's my career and it's the same as 2k12? If so, then it's not working right for me. I'm a SG and when I'm moved to PG during the game, I will call plays manually and I get the play vision, but in 2k11 and 12 they let you know what play you were running every single time down the floor. Is it the same in 2k13?

              the playvision is broken in MyPlayer unless you are a PG. they are supposed to be fixing it in an upcoming patch.

                Ok. I figured. It's weird because it worked for me a couple of times down the court automatically in one of my games. But that was the only 2 time and the only game. Hasn't worked since.

                  Idk if this happened in 2k12 but here I go. When you control all 30 teams, or maybe any number of teams, if you set a player's minutes to 0 they actually don't play at all. So at least 2k got the minutes down for the Association. I've tested it for a full week with all 30 teams and it still doesn't have them play if they aren't assigned minutes. So that's a huge plus.

                    ONLINE: HOF/SIM 6-8 Min Qtrs

                    I only play ONLINE so I'd have to say that the game has the potential to be very good but just as last year some of the same LAUNCH problems exist:

                    1. Offensive Rebounding is terrible...Too many Offensive rebounds
                    2. 3pt % is way too high and its too easy to shoot 3's
                    3. The game pace is too helter skelter...Things need to slow down a bit
                    4. Control is a lil wonky
                    5. The jury is out on the new control scheme...I'm using it exclusively but just not sold all the way on it.
                    6. No need to run plays just dribble around like a fool and force something in the paint.


                    Overall... I like the bones of the game...It just needs refining to be a solid online experience...When I play my stable of dudes that keep it real the only glaring problem is OFFENSIVE rebounding.

                    Come on 2K...get this OONLINE part of the game right and quit half-steppin...Every year the same ****...It takes 2 months for them to finally get the game right online...or at least to an acceptable play level

                    A patch/tuning is greatly needed.

                      A few things (I'm talking online quick match for all of these):

                      -The success rate of alley oops is way too high.
                      -The success rate of hook shots is way too high.
                      -Players NEVER miss shots when they get behind the basket and then shoot, you could score every possession if you could get a guy behind the basket. Pretty dumb if you ask me.
                      -Players are missing too many contact layups (like 49-50 will miss), Kyrie Irving has the finisher signature skill and I can't remember ever making a contact layup with him yet.
                      -Offensive rebounding is a problem, but not nearly as big of a problem as others are making it out to be.
                      -Getting bumped out of bounds needs to be fixed. Either stop it from happening or make it a blocking foul.
                      -Dunks are causing defenders that are in good position to slide backwards like 5 feet, and they can't take charges.

                        Training camp doesn't seem to give a damn I switched my LT+RS to dribbling and RS to shooting.

                        Also does it show the RS moves because I think it just forces me to use buttons, will have to recheck that.

                          The game plays great and really realistic. Watching the c's preseason game today players were playing in their roles just like i had them in 2k. So realistic. But nba 2k is just too fast. You can really run and not play halfcourt if you want to. They made it too arcadey this way. Other than that rebounds and 2nd chance points are still off and issues with the cpu driving unstoppably. This is where a true physics engine would really help imo.

                          I've never seen an nba game get the pacing right yet though. I've also yet to see an nba game get defense right. There is a lack of animations defensively. IT's nearly impossible to play defense like Avery Bradley. I play with the celtics and you just dont see the same kind of defensive plays.

                          I think 2k has done a good job modelling how teams play offensively. But like most people they forget there are other parts of the game.

                          Fab swatted this shot today in the preseason game. That's nothing you would ever see in 2k basketball. You'd never see Baby taking charges like he used to either.

                          I made a post to a developer and showed them actual defense being played in the nba a while back. I also showed them how a game is actually paced. They didn't get it though.

                            I feel like 2k11 and 12 had much better pacing than this. I actually had games in the 80s and 90s in 12.

                              Yeah i think they definately made it more arcadey this year. You can really just run up and down the court. You can play this years game like nba jam if you really want to. It's hard to tell myself to play otherwise sometimes. But I have to tell myself to just pretend i can't do that. I'm playing on 10 minute quarters simulation allstar. Against the cpu its not that horrible. Playing online its ridiculous. It pretty much is like nba jam.

                              It's a defensive problem as much as its a pacing issue. Players are too fast though. Turbo is overpowered. If you watch an NBA game the pacing is very different. Players are too small in nba 2k as well. They need to make them larger and slower imo.
