My question is what did they pay Jay Z? lol.

After seeing the retail game, his presence in that game is truly HOVAkill. We didn't need this guy to enhance an already amazing game. I would have rather seen him try to rebuild EA's NBA than even come near one of the few games I buy annually.

How about you stop repeating yourself and post and impression about the game? Oh - that's right, you said in another thread you aren't even putting money towards the game.

So this means you should move on. I'm sure others interested in reading game IMPRESSIONS would prefer to read just that, not your rants on this topic.

I like how superstars are playing. KD is a scoring machine, playing against LBJ is like playing against the best player in the world, period. He seems to get too many driving dunks in halfcourt, but I mean really, he'd probably make a contested layup, anyway or pass out of it for an assist. Only played a little bit so far, in the middle of my first full game of thunder @ heat. Pro-Simulation btw.

I had to pause my game just to come here and post this...

Steals are done correctly in this game!!! I've come on this board and mentioned a number of times how past b-ball games have done it wrong. See, in past games, when a player swiped the ball causing a loose ball and another player on their team recovered it, the steal went to the player that recovered it instead of the one that deflected it. The real rule should give the steal to the deflector of the ball (assuming it's intentionally deflected and doesn't just bounce off the back of his head).

Kirelinko just deflected the ball and I recovered it. I immediately went and checked the stat, and he got credit for the steal.

Looks like 2K did something right for a change.

Played a few games, haven't started an Association yet but i'm really loving it so far, the animations and movement look and feel so nice. Tried a couple games in My Career and love being able to move around the court a little better. The AI is definitely better...sure some tweaks are needed but this game is fun and sim...nice balance. The presentation is very nice...some of it I could do without but overall really good.

I do not like that they seemed to have taken some things out or made it a little more difficult to do certain things. Not even stressing over missing legends i'm sure 2k did what they could with that..but taking out the option to auto-save, making it so everything seems to save to 2k's servers is something I don't like. Last year it was easy to have multiple saves for more than 1 MyPlayer...this year it seems a little troublesome.

Love the create a shoe, its very detailed from what I've seen, but the created players that we can put them on...smh..can't believe this is still basically the same, to me its like having some nice rims sitting on some beat up car...guess long as it runs good and this game does do that. Hoping 2k really steps up in this department of the game next year. Even with the gripes i'm VERY happy with this game. Its really hard to believe some people still say 2k is lazy after all they put into this game.

Something that I thought was really cool happened in a quick game with the Celtics and Knicks. Paul Pierce drew a blocking foul on JR Smith and knocked smith onto the ground. Rondo came over to help JR up and JR totally shrugged him off and batted away Rondo's hand. Don't think I've seen this in previous versions of this game.

The game pretty much plays like a better version of 2k12, with community rosters and sliders. quickness, offensive rebounds, spacing etc. is great with def. sim sliders.

one thing I noticed was how great the signature skills work. yes, making a guy a great dunker, or a great shooter is easy, but adding intangibles was always the difficult part. rondo for example, has scrapper and floor general as two of five signature skills. as a scrapper, a crashes boards like crazy, getting off. rebounds by diving into the paint, plays passing lanes like all the time. as a floor general, he is crucial on the flow off the offense, whether he has the ball in his hands or not. gives some sort of bonus to the team, confidence boost maybe?

first game I played against orlando with def. sim sliders on pro (rt shooting) and won 118-86. Sullinger and Bass were killing them with easy baskets(thanks to rondo and no inside presence of Orlando). picking spots for players and running the show with rondo feels simply amazing.

cheating is also gone, at least on pro. but this probably means that we should increase the difficulty a tad. All that realism is getting beaten by human factor, since we are far better decisions makers in games when compared to real players. not saying this is something bad but in the end it makes things easier.

overall, the game feels great out of the box. haven't checked on sim stats, but everything on the court feels great.

Game is must buy if you're a sports gaming enthusiastic enthusiast like me

Graphically its gotten better.
Animations have gotten better and have been added.
Gameplay is better than 2k12

This Jay- Z subject is the most overblown thing in the 2k forum history and edging toward OS history...

Doesn't bother me that much either. I'm most annoyed (still) that they hyped it as the biggest announcement in 2k history. The new presentation has good and bad things about it. I can deal with it.

As Jimmer drives to the hole, Zeller steps out with his hands up. That begins the part of the video in question as it will appear Zeller has those shoes with the wheels on the bottom of them. My question is:

Is this a really bad backtracking animation?
Is this really bad foot planting?
Or was jimmer in a canned animation which could not be interrupted?

Small annoyance: each shot fake or pass fake seems to shuffle both of the player's feet. Obviously, one foot is to remain stationary as a pivot. This does not occur. Those feet are all over the place upon the initiation of either type of fake.
