Similar to our game at Phoenix, we came to Staples Center with a chip on our shoulders. Going against the star studded Lakers in Los Angeles, we knew we had to bring our A game. We took an early lead and never really looked back. The Lakers closed to within 3 midway through the 4th, literally riding Kobe the entire way. He dropped 19 of his game high 41 points in the 4th quarter. Dwight Howard added 17/11 but was inefficient and stayed in foul trouble the entire game.

Greg Monroe continued his stellar start to the season with 22 pts (10-13), 9 rbs, and 2 blks. Jason Maxiell also played well, adding 20 pts(10-14), 14 rbs, and 3 blks. I had an overall solid stat line of 8 pts (4-9), 6 rbs, 8 asts, and 3 stls in 19 mins off the bench.

Got a question, why when i have a myCareer guy with the last name smith do the announcers say my nickname, Yet with Chris Smoove they say Smoove. Am i doing something wrong or is 2k biased?

Its a glitch. They say Chris Smoove's name because Smooth is a nickname if I'm not mistaken...

Tried my hand at a tri-dub with my 6'4 athletic PG. Fell 1 rebound short. 16 pts 9 rebs and 13 asts for the Wizards. Now I have to choose between Nike or Jordan. Leaning towards Nike

IF they ever patch my career (still waiting to spend my VC on one) will the make it like last year where most names are pronounced? Or did the permenantly remove that feature.

They'll likely patch it in. I doubt they'd remove such a prominent feature. It was one of the primary things that added realism to the mode. But don't quote me because one can never be 100% sure...

*INJURY UPDATE*
Rodney Stuckey out 1-2 weeks with what has been diagnosed as a sprained finger.

No Stuckey? No problem. After coming up with a big win against Kobe And the Lakers, we felt really confident going to the Pepsi Center to face the Nuggets in the Mile High City. That confidence really showed, as we routed the Nuggets, 119-89.

Danilo Gallinari led the Nuggets with 17 points but provided little else. Ty Lawson had 11 points and 9 assists, but also had 5 costly turnovers. Star acquisition Andre Iguodala was a no show in tonight's game. He had just 5 points on 2-6 shooting. The lone bright spot for Denver was Javale McGee, who added 12/7 with 3 blocks.

Greg Monroe paced the Pistons with 18 points in just 21 minutes of action. I had a brilliant game. I picked apart Denver's defense to the tune of 12 assists with no turnovers. I also added 13 points (6-12), and 4 steals. Will Bynum started for the injured Rodney Stuckey and had 16 points and 8 assists.

Best game of MyCareer so far, because I had I basically do it all to beat MIA 150-146(Ray Allen hit a 3 at the end to cut the lead to 4). Here it goes

Chose Nike. Afterwards had my best game again a Kemba-injured Cats. 26pts,7rebs,11asts and 11 steals(Interceptor and pick pocket is awesome) also shot over 50%.Got the Nike unstoppable billboard and the come fly with us billboard. Still not starting despite outperforming everybody off the bench with 17mpg. Time to talk with the GM

What team needs a SG?

I need to get out of Chicago they started me but im not really getting along with D Rose hes a ball hog and when Nate Robinson comes in your game forget it.

man, i'm actually really bummed that i can't get to season 4 with my guy and i'm going to have to create a new one. i feel like 2k should credit me for that crap.

Why does everyone say Rose is a ballhog? lol he was a good teammate at 2K12.

But on topic, Memphis, LA Lakers (if Kobe retires), LA Clippers and Cleveland. That's the teams I can think of so far.

Question for those playing on PC and use Cheat Engine.

I just downloaded it, and it's cool how you can modify the sliders for My Career.

Is it possible using Cheat Engine to modify the number of key games you have, or to be able to simulate entire seasons. After playing a combined 5 seasons with 2 different My Players, I don't have the patience and time to keep on playing every game/key game until I retire my player and he goes into the Hall of Fame. It would be cool if I could simulate entire seasons, and just play the playoffs.

Yeah Grizzlies seem like the best option next maybe the Jazz?

D Rose just takes the ball and goes inside all game it's crazy ask for the ball and your grade goes down completely
